t give me full relief. I went to see a doctor and he prescribed me antibiotics and Flonase, which I had hoped would clear this sore throat up, but didn't. I would see him a second time and have my blood tested with results that I don't have mono. He then began asking me about Acid Reflux, which is a possibility despite my not having heartburn regularly or any of the other symptoms, but Tums haven't helped.
I am taking pseudaphed during the day, benadryl at night and flonase. (Bad spelling) Now my throat is tight and it feels like I am about to get larengitis.
Is it getting better or worse; should i keep doing what I am doing. I am also using afrin once in a while, and i have not allowed my ears to get wet in the shower for the past week.
I just got back from running with my dog, and my right nostril is like really swollen on the inside and it hurts whenever I sniff. How can I cure this, as it's making a runny nose and it hurts really bad on the inside.
He takes the adult dosage of Zyrtec daily and uses Flonase to keep some of the allergies under control. Because of all of these allergies, I assumed the tongue issue would also be allergy related (the allergy specialist disagrees though). We have also tried Benadryl to no avail.
He hasn't had a decent night's sleep in weeks. There are days that he refuses to eat because of the itch and subsequent pain from the sores. He's missed several days of school because of this.
Depending on how far along you are you can take benedryl, my dr says 20 weeks. (Every dr is a little different)
Your OB should at least be able to okay you maybe taking an alergy med like Alavert, call and ask. There is no reason they can't just say 'yes' or 'no' and yiur General isn't an expert in pregnancy so he won't know what's safe.
About this time, I sometimes get a slightly sore throat, some nasal discharge, loose stools, pressure in my ears, neck and throat. What can be done for this? I read holding your nose sometimes helps to loosen up mucous. Any ideas? Please appreciate your suggestions.
You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. Also keep the area well moisturized by applying non perfumed, hypoallergenic moisturizers. If the symptoms persist then topical and oral steroids may be needed for which please consult a dermatologist.

so now im having really bad allergic reaction where my eyes swell and get all red and itchy, my nose is totally stuffed up, and now i feel like in the middle of my chest i weeze. this has been happening for like a week now...but the chest thing jus started yesterday. when i take claritin it all goes away except for the chest weezing. i dont really have trouble sleeping but i do wake up to blow my nose and stuff. whats wrong with me?
t been feeling well. You can always call and ask your doctor these questions for guidance. Flonase is known to reduce nasal inflammation over time. The best thing is to blow your nose prior to using it and then wait as long as you possibly can before blowing your nose again. The longer you wait, the better chance the Flonase has of being absorbed into your nasal cavity. The most common recommendation is 15 to 30 minutes to wait to blow your nose after using.

Hello. I have been experiencing moderate to severe postnasal drip and ringing in the ears. Moved to Chicago several years ago from Phoenix so the doctor suggested that I may be suffering from allergies as a result. Blood test confirmed grass allergy. Have been using Flonase (SP?) for about 1 month coupled with nasal rinsing system but still have the ringing and drainage. Should I be worried about another culprit besides allergies causing these awful symptoms??
I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.
Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
I've had an upper respiratory infection for about a week. Went to the doctor this morning with severe ear pain, no infection, just inflammation due to the other infection. Was recommended Flonase, rest, and fluids. After I came home and took the Flonase I've had this really weird fizzing sensation off and on at the back of my throat all day. It feels like a handful of poprocks are at the top of my throat/back of my mouth. It's a really weird suggestion.
