Avatar n tn I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.

Avatar f tn t work for me, and benadryl makes me so tired. So my Dr gave me flonase and said to take the benadryl at night.
Avatar f tn t know where you live, but here raw, local honey is a big thing and it helps me so much with allergies. I just eat a spoonful several times a day.
Avatar n tn Moved to Chicago several years ago from Phoenix so the doctor suggested that I may be suffering from allergies as a result. Blood test confirmed grass allergy. Have been using Flonase (SP?) for about 1 month coupled with nasal rinsing system but still have the ringing and drainage. Should I be worried about another culprit besides allergies causing these awful symptoms?? In addition, is there any other over-the-counter meds that may be of use. Thank you.
Avatar f tn She said I had a lot of fluid in my ears and that I had allergies and gave me a prescription for flonase and told me to take Zyrtek D twice a day. With in 45 minutes of taking the Zyrtek D, my throat didn't feel as tight. But when I took the flonase, the tightness would return. I decided not to take the flonase anymore. I continued with the Zyrtek D for 12 days. I still didn't see any great improvement, so I went back to my doctor.
3240655 tn?1346723677 Do a self-test for allergies, including delayed and hidden allergies. It's called Dr. Cocoa's pulse test. It takes about a week to complete. Free public domain, just search for it. This saved me from having repeat surgeries every 4-5 years to remove polyps caused by "unknown "allergies, from both nostrils. The surgeon said impossible to determine this, even with a biopsy. Yeah, right.
Avatar f tn I've never had allergies of any kind. Then I noticed my nose was runny sometimes. Sneezing some. Nothing alarming. Then I woke up and was having trouble swallowing - felt like something was stuck in my throat. Doc said there was tons of drainage - the diagnosis: allergies. I started zyrtec and flonase, and got a HEPA air purifier. I've had that for about 2 weeks. Annnd now I've developed ear infections in BOTH ears due to the allergies, even taking all that and with the filter.
Avatar n tn //www.rxlist.com/flonase-drug.htm. Is this prescribed to decreases swelling or to attend to the sinus issue contributing to the swelling?
Avatar f tn My doctor suggested Flonase, but I am allergic to sulfur (used a sulfur mask once and my whole face swelled huge, used to have to brush me teeth with sulfur water and my entire mouth would get blisters) and I noticed that Flonase contains sulfur in its makeup. Can I use it?
865758 tn?1285952904 I have severe allergies requiring 9 allergy shots weekly and I noticed that on the days when my allergies are really bad my heart rate increases. I have had all the cardiac workup and other than showing periods of sinus tachycardia my heart is fine. Could allergies be doing this?
Avatar f tn ENT said eustachian tube dysfunction due to allergies (tested positive for various inhalent allergies) and said to use Xyzal and Flonase. Xyzal made me too sleepy so stopped, and Flonase has done nothing. ENT said it would take Flonase a month to clear up the ETD. The constant ear popping wouldn't bother me if it weren't accompanied by the lightheadedness and brain fog, which sometimes by the end of the day turns into a very bad headache and then disappears.
Avatar f tn I have had allergies all my 62 years. My doctor a few years ago put on otc Flonase but now I have Cochlear hydrops in my left year .
345124 tn?1234483278 I can handle everything except the dizziness/vertigo. As soon as I feel it coming on and my ears feel stuffy I pop a Claritin, some Flonase and ibuprofen if it comes along with sinus press again. So far its working but need to go for allergy shots because these allergies have just progressed over 20+ years from just hay fever to hay fever and allergic rhinitis to hay fever and allergic rhinitis plus now dizziness. This has got to stop!
Avatar m tn This is a question but also maybe an answer. I am being totally serious about everything I say! I had an OVERWHELMING need to itch my scrotum and anal area. It wasn't like any itch I have ever had before. The itching was overwhelmingly euphoric when I itched area. I mean I could feel it though my entire body. I tried powders, creams, etc. Nothing worked and I was too embarrassed to even go to Doctor. I never really itched it either it was more pressure digging action. The itch felt internal.
Avatar f tn Hello Community! About 3 weeks ago, I started having some breathing problems. I was at a computer working on a research project and it scared me that I felt I was not breathing as much as I should. It was like a "shortness" of breathe. I take adderall, so I monitored my heart and pulse on it for two days and off it for three and everything turned out normal (76bpm 72/110 avg), so I ruled that out. I then realized that I can't breathe through my nose (DUH! :).
Avatar f tn I was using it for my allergies my sinuses were so congested it was making my teeth and face hurt so bad and giving me a clogged ear with an ear ache. It did seem to help some but now she wants me to not use it for a couple of weeks to see if that was causing my nose irriation she said some people have that problem from using this product. So if it was the problem not sure what they will use for my allergies. It's always something lol.
Avatar f tn I have many allergies and am on Allegra, Flonase, and Singulair. I try to keep my sugar intake to a minimum but when I'm in a flare-up, sugary things seem to be what my body craves, especially when I'm in "fibro-fog".
Avatar f tn Have you been tested for any bacterial infections, like Strep throat? Bad smells are sometimes associated with bacterial infections. If it's not getting better, you should definitely go back to the doctor instead of self-medicating with Flonase. If it's not allergies, Flonase won't help and might make the situation worse.
Avatar f tn Flonase and zertec side effects in children.been taking both sense he was 7 and has stopped growing in height but is gaining weight and is having problems breathing.he is 11 now.
454221 tn?1259445739 My lung doc said I had severe allergies to dust mites and I have put covers on my mattresses and pillows and taken my claritin and flonase and it seems to make a difference. But since I had to move heavy mattresses and did a lot of vaccuming my neck feels tense. I have had this problem since I got my new carpet cleaner and all the other problems. Could this all be due to an injury?
Avatar f tn Yaaaaeeeee thank u ladies
Avatar n tn Hello, My son has been suffering from the environmental (pollen, dust) allergies for a long time. He's been on Zertec and Flonase for years. We are thinking of trying the allergy drops therapy and would love to know if any of you have tried that? This type of treatment is newer than the shots and we are stuck on deciding what company/brand to use. Looking for the one with a great track record. Thank you in advance for your feedback and advice!
Avatar f tn My son started this noise over 6 months ago. At first we thought he was clearing his throat but the dcotor called it a cough, as he's inhaling before it happens. She heard a wheeze in his chest and is sending him to a pediatrician. She's thinking asthma, but I've never heard anything like it. Fast forward to 0:45 and 1:30 in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar f tn He takes the adult dosage of Zyrtec daily and uses Flonase to keep some of the allergies under control. Because of all of these allergies, I assumed the tongue issue would also be allergy related (the allergy specialist disagrees though). We have also tried Benadryl to no avail. He hasn't had a decent night's sleep in weeks. There are days that he refuses to eat because of the itch and subsequent pain from the sores. He's missed several days of school because of this.
