676912 tn?1332812551 You get a certain amount of points depending on your weight every day, and you get a certain number per week for "slack points"....it's really very straight-forward once you do it and yes like Becca said you get a booklet.
Avatar f tn I am just using Weight Watchers as an example. If you buy the pre-packaged foods which do work on keeping you on track with your points etc. The sodium content is too high in these prepared foods. Its not just Weight Watchers, its South Beach Diet, etc.
Avatar m tn ve been following Weight Watchers for 2 months, very faithfully, writing everything down, staying within my points range and I haven't lost a pound! Up 1lb. one week, down 1lb. the next week. This goes on week after week and I stay the same. I exercise my butt off at least 6 days a week for an hour or more a day. Cardio/weight training and Karate 3x a week. I've had my Thyroid checked and everything is normal. I've done Weight Watchers in the past and have been very successful.
Avatar n tn Ive been a weight watchers member for 9 weeks now and have not lost any weight. Im very frustrated I was diagnosed with Hashimotos/Hypothyroid last Sept and im taking synthroid as a result. My levels were normal ( 1.0) last December. Am i to expect SSLOOOOOOOW results because I am just frustrated. Is there anyone out there that has any suggestions of how im going to loose this weight (15 pounds)??
Avatar f tn Has anyone done this diet and seen the results they were looking for? I'm very interested in Weight Watchers and would like to hear people's experiences to know I'm not going to wasting my time and money..... Any responses are welcome. THANKS.
Avatar m tn This helps me alot maybe now my husband will get off my back about weight watchers . He is on this weight watchers diet and is doing so good well i keep telling him that i can't do both and i know i need the carbs to put in my pump . He gose no you just eat like weight watchers and add the carbs in too ur pump don't worry about the carbs is this right ? i know it sounds like the same question but it isn't .
Avatar f tn t eat much but I have 1 type of chocolate or I have a fast food meal, for example mcdonalds or nandos). I manage to lose weight then by Sunday Ive put the pounds back on!
435762 tn?1244682620 For that weight and breast feeding, they usually allow 26-28 points, depending on how much activity you have daily. I hope this helps.
485620 tn?1208680239 try Curves for fitness and try weight watchers, I love them both. I dont do weight watchers but I eat their fodos and they are very tasty and Curves is a simple 30 minute workout any mom can make time for,I should know I have 2 boys under 2 and workout there everyday while hubby watches the little ones.
Avatar f tn t turn color or fresh pineapple any fruit is good. string cheese reduce fat,or a Tostadas with a wedge of weight watchers cheese some days I need the crunch and this works. 1766274 tn?1326743907 I am 30 pounds overweight and tried every diet under the sun, nothing seems to help. I am presently on Weight Watchers Online, My question : Is there anyone that can give me some suggestions ? Is there a special diet I should have been on??
Avatar f tn i have been doing weight watchers for 4 weeks and have only lost 2 lb i have started walkiing 2 hrs every day and a tia bow class once a week, also i have been jogging on my trampoline for 15 min a night .
942482 tn?1246369357 I've never used either, but have been considering using either Weight Watchers or Curves to help me get motivated to lose weight. I recently moved to Richmond, VA and feel that I could use one of the programs to help me meet others that can help encourage me. My husband is fantastic, but he has never had weight issues, and although I'm surrounded by family none of them are overweight.
Avatar f tn I think there are two types of Weight Watchers plans you can do, the plan where you count points and the one where it is a lower carb diet. Anyways, I gained weight on weight watchers before, when there wasn't the lower carb choice. I am now doign South Beach and have had success this week.
Avatar f tn Hi Emily, First of all you have to start eating 3 meals a day...if you don't eat enough your body goes into starvation mode and produces more fat cells. So that could be part of your problem. I think the Weight Watchers diet is the best and if you don't want to join I'm sure you can find it online. Good luck with your journey and if you need some inspiration please contact me. Im trying to lose alot of weight.
Avatar n tn From the weight you stated, you seem to need to loss more weight. I suggest you go back to Weight Watchers where you will have a support group and eat healthy. Set small weight goals (1/2lb – 1lb a week) and loss the weight slowly. The slower you loss the weight, easier it is to maintain the lost weight, and adapt to the new healthy life change. You can do it. You did it before with much success and you can do it again. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn 5mg by my doctor and was told to sign up for weight watchers. I have been doing this for 7 weeks now and I have lost 22lbs. But this week I started walking 45mins a day and Im well below my points for weight watcher and I have gained 2 whole pounds this week. Im doing everything right so why am i gaining if im taking the meds doing weight watchers drinking plenty of water and walking? its just so frusturating.
172023 tn?1334672284 Good for you. I joined Weight Watchers last Thursday and even though I'm hungry I'm not starving. I am doing the flex plan. I've never been a breakfast eater but now I find that it is my biggest (most points) meal. Oatmeal or an egg white omelet really keep me satisfied the longest. Also, one of my biggest stumbling blocks was the whole food journal thing but now I find that I snack less when I am tracking points.
Avatar f tn Is the "flaxseed meal" you speak of come already ground up? I have read that flaxseed does no good unless it's ground up.
1720613 tn?1309432604 4, my BMI is at 24. Currently I take no medication and follow the Weight Watchers points Plus diet and try to get 10 minutes of moderate exercise after eating (a total of 30 to 60 minutes a day) along with strength training ( 30 minutes) about once a week. Word of caution diet and exercises must be maintained I slacked off for about 6 month and my A1c went to 7.
Avatar f tn 25 hours total body for the most part and 4-5 days/week of cardio -treadmill 3.5mph+ on an incline varying from 5-12% (minimum of 40 minutes). I follow Weight Watchers points system and I am within my points value at almost all times. I do not use my activity points that I earn which should lead to a weight loss but I am continually varying up and down 2-4lbs and never keeping it off for long.
Avatar f tn Hey I have also been struggling with diet plans, but I doing the weight watchers diet helpful n if you stick to the points you can do it. Must admit I didn't go to all the meetings, just went to the first two to get all the info that I needed and did it at home, and it actually worked, now I wanna maintain the weight which is why I am doing a calorie count diet, hope it helps.
Avatar f tn I have been doing weight watchers for about a year now and have always been very regular with my bowel movements throughout that time. Earlier this summer, I started slacking in my seriousness about weight watchers and that lasted pretty much all summer until about a week ago. During that time I still was eating a good amount of fiber (fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc) so I was regular during that time.
Avatar f tn t eat too many calories. I have had more patients lose weight and keep it off with Weight Watchers than anything else - Weight Watchers will teach you how to lose, and if you go to meetings you have to be accountable for your weight loss (or not) - and that helps with the motivation.
