I have lines on my nails that are ugly and I saw drops in a magizine for it once but when I went to order them I could'nt find the artical, and both my parents have it and it killed a foot fungus that tried to infect me after 1 year??????
Hi I just want to know what can cause some or all of these combined symptoms, Hair thinning, lost of appetite, a few dark toenails but not all of them, 1 fingernail half light pink half light brown with vertical lines no ridges, wart on ball of both feet and lately some lost of taste (I'm thinking due to thin white film on tongue) I was a Severe smoker until recently when I stopped.
They do not have complete horizontal ridges across them. Sort of like moguls on a ski slope. They are not discolored and it only occurs in those two fingernails.
She has had this for close to a year. She's rarely sick and if it was nail fungus I would think it would have spread to her other nails.

They are the same color as nails, not very deep but definitely noticable. These ridges are especially noticable on the bed of my thumbs and also on the toenails of the big toes. Other fingernails/toenails don't seem to have ridges, maybe just a few small ridges on index finger nails.
Itchy raised ridges will appear over my body (arms and back mostly). They come and go randomly with seemingly no reason at all. My sister also suffers from these ridges and we don't know what they are. Any help?

This is oftem caused by getting too much Calcium i have had this too and I realized it was because i was getting too much calcium if you are taking a Calcium supplement and eating alot of dairy you may be over doing it just some advice
3- Two days ago I noticed ridges on 2 fingernails while the rest of nails have vertical lines without ridges.
Treatment:
1-I went to ENT after my 6 weeks symptoms and he gave me gargle which did not work.
2-After 52 days of last exposure I went to another ENT specialistand I told him about my sexual exposure so he requested Sypillis and anti Hiv tests besides throat swap culture.
3- Throat swap culture shows normal streptococcus bacteria and ENT told me the result is fine.
What did your fingernail look like that made them a "dead giveaway"? Also, what enzymes do you take to aid digestion?

I have just been dealing with this same discussion in the last couple days, regarding toenail ridges and horizontal lines on toenails. I have found out about psoriatic nails, found in people with psoriasis, and ridges and peeling in your finger or toenails has to do with iron. High iron manifests in skin problems, and psoriasis is common in iron disorders.

which would make since since these ridges (raised lines) travel the entire sides of my tongue, but stop at the tip... and this would also explain the same similar lines running down the boarders of my cheeks... From what I have read these symptoms can result from tongue thrusting and sucking my tongue sides and cheeks... since these ridges are always at their worst when i wake up and seem to get better throughout the day I may be doing this while I sleep or am not thinking about it...
Does anyone know what could cause these brown lines at the cuticle and on the actual hand? Person has athletes foot, jock itch, and Versicolor. Also suffers from severe abdominal cramping and bloating frequently. based on my research online, the only instances I can find a brown lines on the hands and fingernails occurred in people who have parasitic infections. After contact, I am now getting the brown lines in (not under) my fingernails without injury. Also peeling between the fingers.
Since a couple of years I have deep ridges on the top of my head.

I went to the dermatologist, the plastic surgeon and my own doctor.
None of them know what it is or how to threat it...
The only thing the dermatologist thought was possible is: Cutis verticis gyrata
But I read many posts on the internet about it and that doesn't seem to be the case.
They are smooth, flesh coloured, finger like and occur in lines rather than clusters - although the smallest of which is slightly lighter in colour. The growths are situated at each side of my clitoris - basically where the labia minora meets the clitoris - and vary in size. I haven't noticed them anywhere else, only on the 'ridges' of the labia minora.
It is an abnormal shape of the fingernail. The nail has raised ridges and is thin and curved inward. This disorder is associated with iron deficiency anemia. The other possibility which can present with nail pitting as well thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin is psoriasis. It is thought that psoriasis occurs when the immune system overreacts, causing inflammation and flaking of skin.
My sincere advice is to consult a dermatologist and get these two possibilities probed.
