They do not have complete horizontal ridges across them. Sort of like moguls on a ski slope. They are not discolored and it only occurs in those two fingernails.

Hi I just want to know what can cause some or all of these combined symptoms, Hair thinning, lost of appetite, a few dark toenails but not all of them, 1 fingernail half light pink half light brown with vertical lines no ridges, wart on ball of both feet and lately some lost of taste (I'm thinking due to thin white film on tongue) I was a Severe smoker until recently when I stopped.
At the top of the fingernail, where it grows out fron the finger, is a small semi-circle of white then the rest of the finger nail is pinkish. Prior to moving to where I now live my nails all had this little area now 3 years later only my thumbs do. Can anyone tell me if this is something to be concerned about? Thanks for any help!!
What did your fingernail look like that made them a "dead giveaway"? Also, what enzymes do you take to aid digestion?

Injury to nail due to trauma it self can cause the features described.With out a fungus test,woods lamp done, not safe to give internal antifungals.
First things first, nothing is wrong with you, and you are doing nothing wrong!! You may be trying to hard. I have worked in the adult industry for many years, I cant tell you how many women come into my stores with the same issue....some at 40 years old! I must suggest exploration and masturbation. It is an abnormal shape of the fingernail. The nail has raised ridges and is thin and curved inward. This disorder is associated with iron deficiency anemia. The other possibility which can present with nail pitting as well thick, white, silvery, or red patches of skin is psoriasis. It is thought that psoriasis occurs when the immune system overreacts, causing inflammation and flaking of skin.
My sincere advice is to consult a dermatologist and get these two possibilities probed.
ve noticed that the nail bed (and subsequently the overall length of the nail) of my ring finger on the left (guitar fretting) hand has gradually shortened. I believe that the trauma of fretting notes has introduced a stress point between the edge of the nail bed and the meat of the tip of my finger. This, in turn, is causing the nail to "uproot" from the nail bed. Currently, the nail bed on my left hand is approximately 2mm shorter than the nail bed on my right hand.
These anatomical landmarks become prominent with a receding hairline and ridges and irregularities show up based on how these bones bonded during early skull development. The ulcer is still there and am now on cipro/ doxycycline, as stated ealrier this was done by trauma. Trauma 1 sex small abrasion, trauma 2 sex one week later raised abrasion and then small ulcer. After 2 went to doctor was prescibed kefle tid for 2 weeks, ulcer began to go away and then trauma 3 with condom, two days laterulcrr got larger and infection got worse. I am alot of stress with my divorce and did break out with a mild case of shingles.
Only one horizontal depression present on only one fingernail is usually caused by trauma (usually accidental physical trauma) of nail matrix (nail “root”). It should grow out of your nail bed in 2-3 months. Fingernails grow about 3mm per month.
Try to go back about 2 months and to remember if you had injured that nail area (anything from accidental bang to rough cuticle cutting…).
what's up with deep vertical nail ridges? and what are they a sign of? is it parathyroidism too?
I have low vit d3 levels and low thyroid. I am now being tested for parathyroid but only after insisting on it because this is the second time in the past year my vit d level dropped under 15. The bone pain in awful. This time around I have it in my right leg and thumbs, last time pain was across my upper back and thumbs as well as other bone locations on the body. Silly isn't it?
5mm on the underside of my penis head, along one of the ridges extending down from the slit. It is not painful, but if i apply pressure it does feel more sensitive on the spot.
