Would anyone know the difference between Piriton and Fexofenadine? Which is stronger?

My nose blockage is getting better (one nasal passage is open most of the time) but I have also developed slight phelgm in my throat (i.e throat mucus).

I'm a 23 year old male. Since mid July 2010 I've been having some shortness of breath and dry cough with very little mucus coming out. When the mucus comes out it's clear and in small amount. Initially this problem started after I was out with a few friends smoked hookah. The hookah pipe was dirty and I remember spitting black stuff out from the pipe and then I stopped smoking. I don't smoke normally at all and even hookah once every 3 or 4 months.
Ever since I got my wisdom teeth taken out over a year ago, I've been getting a strange taste/smell in my throat and nose. It's not constant, but after I've had a bit of a cold or something it gets worse. It's mostly in my nose currently, and whenever I sniff I can smell it. I went to the doctor once and they prescribed a nasal spray (nasonex I believe). It helped but didn't make it go away completely.
whenever i suck out mucus i find some blood in it and a couple of times when i blow my nose i see some blood too... i have been suffering from runny nose and i have been also coughing for like about 2 weeks and i have only used otrivin for the runny nose... what could be wrong with me?

Thank you so much for responding. Yes I do take suppressive therapy, but at times I do forget to take the pills which I know is a problem. I have some hormonal issues when I have my monthly period as well, which I know contributes to the EM. I went to the doctor today and had a well woman check up and they suggested I also go to a dermatologist. They gave me a script for Valtrex, not the generic form, to see if that may make a difference. I certainly hope so.
Here in Australia it is spring time and the pollen count is through the roof. As a result I am suffering from hayfever/asthma and typically do each year from 20 October to 20 November and pretty much to those dates. At 34/63 weeks on tx it certainly is adding an extra dimension to my sx's but still upright. I have found it necessary to take 180mg of 'fexofenadine hydrochloride' an anti-hystermine I guess.
I already see the spealist dermatologist and already test blood test and shown like nothing wrong in result.And when i take the medicine , the rash are disappear and after i stop , the rash are come again. I feel so stress for this itchy rash and also not happy fully at all time.Please help me what am i wrong to get this rash and itchy.
I have been breakin out in hives for over a year now. It started on the nape of my neck as tiny white bumps, it has now turned into red hives that itch and now has spread to my trunk and upper legs and arms. A biopsy was done of one of the hives and it came back unidentified. i have been taking fexofenadine and use triamcinolonne acetonide cream but nothing seems to help. I cant sleep or sit still. I scratch until i bleed and then the hives turn into little scabs all over my body.
The GP says that stress has caused these hives and so I have been prescribed some antihistamines (fexofenadine) which did not work that well.
I have had swelling in my eyelid as well. Partially, I believe it is due to constant rubbing and irritation from allergies. I think it has gotten a little better now that I am taking fexofenadine (allegra) every morning.

Itchiness began next day , so i went to dermatologist she treat me ( 1 ) triamcenolone 80 mg IM stat ( 2 ) prednisolone 10 mg b.d (3) fexofenadine 120 hs ( 4 ) loratadine 10mg b d ( 5 ) ranitidine 150 mg b d ( 6 ) topical betamethasone cream bd ( 7 ) AMOXICILLIN AND FLUCLOXACILLIN 500 mg tds
BUT my condition of insect bite is not improve .
It can be treated with oral and topical steroids only, along with oral antihistaminics (such as Cetrizine/ Fexofenadine). Any more doubts you are welcome.

At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml.

I too suffer from allergies. I am allergic to everything . . . except cats. I have been receiving injections once every 2 weeks for more than a year. I recently got off of my meds at the end of Dec/08 due to ttc. My doc advised me to do this bc he wants me to be better able to ttc the next time I go in for my DET/IVF in September. Lately, I've been feeling the gasps of air you are referring to. The yawns are not normal and sometimes I have to yawn more than once just to catch a breath.
