Would anyone know the difference between Piriton and Fexofenadine? Which is stronger?
Here in Australia it is spring time and the pollen count is through the roof. As a result I am suffering from hayfever/asthma and typically do each year from 20 October to 20 November and pretty much to those dates. At 34/63 weeks on tx it certainly is adding an extra dimension to my sx's but still upright. I have found it necessary to take 180mg of 'fexofenadine hydrochloride' an anti-hystermine I guess.
What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
I have been given antihistamine (fexofenadine) to no avail and creams are a temporary relief. I had a blood test to check the thyroid and the liver and the results did not show anything bad. I don't eat wheat or gluten. I avoid food causing allergy cause during several years I was suffering from dermographism. I used to have eczema when I was a kid and in my teen age but nothing like this.
The strange smell must be because of sinusitis. The smell getting worse during an attack of cold and the discharge trickling down the throat are features of sinusitis. Try taking mucolytics (bromhexine/ambroxyl), oral antihistaminics [(such as cetrizine or fexofenadine) if at all you are having any allergic nasal symptoms], saline nasal drops and steam inhalations. Also drink plenty of warm water. Hope these medications would alleviate your symptoms. Any more doubts you are welcome.
Thank you so much for responding. Yes I do take suppressive therapy, but at times I do forget to take the pills which I know is a problem. I have some hormonal issues when I have my monthly period as well, which I know contributes to the EM. I went to the doctor today and had a well woman check up and they suggested I also go to a dermatologist. They gave me a script for Valtrex, not the generic form, to see if that may make a difference. I certainly hope so.

In last few years I frequently, especially in winter, had cold and nasal congestions. During last few weeks I regularly had headache along with cold. I am on medication Monteluckast-10mg once daily, Fexofenadine-180mg once daily, Budamate rotacaps-400mg twice daily and Nasal Spray- Azelastine and FLuticasone. I have chest pain in the right side of my chest, it is like piercing something from inside and tightness in the upper part of the chest.

1. Increased vascularity is noted in the left parahilarand right paracardiac area.
2.No evidence of filtration.

The GP says that stress has caused these hives and so I have been prescribed some antihistamines (fexofenadine) which did not work that well.
I have a really really bad problem with my skin. Whenever I go outside the sun, or the heater, in general wherever it's hot, my skin gets extremely prickly and it has many red bumps all over my body. I've tried many allergy medicines such as HYDROXYZINE HCL, DOXEPIN, FEXOFENADINE, XYZAL, ZYRTEC, but they didn't help the breakout at all. BUT my condition of insect bite is not improve .
Swelling of an eyelid that lasts 2-3 years needs to be evaluated to see if there is tumor or lesions in lid.
It can be treated with oral and topical steroids only, along with oral antihistaminics (such as Cetrizine/ Fexofenadine). Any more doubts you are welcome.
I had done mri year back and it showed infection in forehead and cyst on left side of face....i am taking nasacort and fexofenadine hcl for months and tried other antihistamine also, but the symtoms persist....i am a liver patient with conginetal hepatic fibrosis and 31 years....liver enzymes r normal....should i take antibotics if so which one and dosae and days? And what else can i do....

If you think, what you are having in your ear is fungal infection then you should stop the Ciprofloxacin ear drops first as it will worsen your condition. Take some antihistaminics (for eg. Cetrizine/Fexofenadine) and meanwhile you can try with some antifungal ear drops (like Candid ear drops) but my sincere advice is to consult an ENT surgeon, in case it happens to be a fungal infection then the debris will have to be cleaned.
