No its not especially in the first trimester. Rapid development of babies major organs, brain and spinal cord happen in the first trimester. I hear some women have a small glass while pregnant personally I wouldnt but if you were to you should wait at least until the middle of the second trimester. Ask your doctor. It is currently not recommended that any alcohol be taken in while pregnant since FAS (fetal alcohol syndrome) is not completely understood on when and how it all happens.
I personally think it's selfish and foolish to drink during pregnancy. Your putting your baby's health at risk and fetal development during the first trimester is crucial. Any alcohol use during pregnancy can result in a child being born with FASD. To me it's not worth the risks.

Yes, I've read the same data. Several different articles. I haven't asked my dr either. When I went and got a massage last week my massage therapist said her midwife told her the same thing, one glass a day was okay. I'm still unsure myself. I had a friend who lived overseas and she said the women/people in Europe are more excepting of it. So, talk to your doctor but a few glasses in the third trimester will not have the baby being born with fetal alcohol syndrome.
Im 21+3 and my baby use to move all the time at my 19weeks now she barley moves had my ultrasound and she is sleeping lol. Anyone else got a lazy baby lol ?
How common it is for early ultrasounds to be off in the first trimester, and how much? Doc wants to do one more checkup. My dates don't work so we've spent the last couple weeks trying to determine how far along I am. If I go by last bleed as LMP, I should be 7 and 2, but yesterday's ultrasound showed the sac measuring 5 and 4, and just a hint of fetal pole. No clear pole or hb yet. when i was in my first trimester i wasnt sick i felt like i wasnt even pregnant even though I heard a fetal heatbeat and saw the baby. i didnt believe because there were no symtoms. the 2 trimester is when u find out what your having whcih is very exciting and 2nd timester is supposed the best one. u also start to feel your little one move at this time. im on my 3rd right now and i tell you i feel heavy, tired,and sick. but all pregnancies are different!
I'm not doing it. If there is something wrong, they can't fix it. They can only offer you a first trimester abortion. They do it in 1st trimester because many states have restrictions on abortions after the first trimester.
This method is where you take the 38 weeks of post conception development, divide by three, and add two weeks. Here the second trimester begins at 14w 5d and the third at 27w 3d.
