Avatar f tn But once I stood up to flush, my stool was completely normal still, (as in diarrhea normal) but there was a dark reddish color in the entirety of the water, I did have something with quite a bit of barbeque sauce today, which I normally don't have that much with anything, it's a redd-ish brown color, Could that be it? Meds I am currently on are levothyroxine and fenofibrate. I was on buspirone but just quit that a few days ago.
Avatar m tn I have noticed since I began taking fenofibrate that I experience cloudy urine after I eat certain foods. It only happens the first time I uninate after eating these foods and becomes clear thereafter. It seems that it is triggered with creamy and greasy foods. Is there cause for concern? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Fenofibrate in combination with a Statin drug can cause severe Rhabdomyolysis. I know because I have gone through it. My muscle pain got so severe that I couldn't even move my arms and I wound up in the ER with kidney (also a muscle) pain so severe, I was climbing the walls.
Avatar m tn The BILT is bilirubin. Bilirubin is a major breakdown product of hemoglobin which is derived from red blood cells that are being broken down in a 'normal' fashion via the spleen. It's transferred to the liver where a large portion of it undergoes processing and becomes 'conjugated' - it's put together with something else to make it more water-soluble. The water solubility of bilirubin allows the bilirubin to be excreted into bile. (Bile then is used to digest fats.

Avatar m tn The main requirements for them are (1) high IFN-inducing activity, (2) absence of side effects, (3) wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity, (4) broad therapeutic security and, (5) good solubility in water and biologic liquids. IFN inducers stimulate IFN production in different cells and organs, and that determines the strategy for their application. Amixin (OOO "Lancepharm," Moscow, Russia) induces IFN-?/? production mostly in T cells. Cycloferon (NTFF "Polysan," St.
Avatar n tn Your numbers are high, but you need to look at the breakdown. First off, your TGL's should be under 150. Not hard, just cut out the empty carbs like breads, sugars, pastas etc. Also, drinking will elevate your TGL's so don't over do it. You could start on a Fenofibrate like Tricor to lower your TGL's it works well. A statin will not really do that much.
Avatar f tn The situation worsened that now whenever i would drink water or any other drink i had to rush to the bathroom after few minutes as urine would feel so much that if i will not urinate i started feeling the pain and burning and irritation around the pubic area and around hips. Avatar m tn Methadone has a slow metabolism and very high fat solubility, making it longer lasting than morphine-based drugs. Methadone has a typical elimination half-life of 15 to 60 hours with an average of i would say about 22. However, metabolism rates vary greatly between individuals, up to a factor of 100 ranging from as few as 4 hours to as many as 130 hours, or even 190 hours. So it's hard to say.

I have been doing some digging around regarding the drug and it says I should not be taking it if one has Hep B. I haven't found what the reasons are so I was wondering if someone could elaborate why one should not be taking it if one has Hep B. Thanks so much for your help.

Avatar n tn Insulin glargine is a human insulin analog that has been designed to have low aqueous solubility at neutral pH. At pH 4, as in the LANTUS injection solution, it is completely soluble. After injection into the subcutaneous tissue, the acidic solution is neutralized, leading to formation of microprecipitates from which small amounts of insulin glargine are slowly released, resulting in a relatively constant concentration/time profile over 24 hours with no pronounced peak.
