Avatar n tn Did they test his glucose again while in ER? What scans were performed? Are you in area where there is high heat? If yes, was he well hydrated prior to going outside? I would schedule a visit with a doctor for a full health examination which should include stress testing [heart], and an A1c test to see how well he is controlling his glucose levels.

Avatar f tn Another thing which may be important is that when I was in hospital my urine and blood was tested and I was found to have high glucose in both so it looks like I may have type 2 diabetes. So yes, quite a lot of information there. I still feel dreadful and have zero energy to do anything and haven't left the house in 5 weeks besides the hospital and GP's office. What do you think is going on? I really need to start feeling better soon.

341190 tn?1295467125 Hi everyone, Last time i was on here was about 2 years ago, well so much has happened, firstly i was fitted with a loop recorder to try and find out what was happening when i fainted then my 17 year old daughter told me she was pregnant, shock wasent the word, i got used to the idea and was actually looking forward to it, she then found a lump in her breast when she was 8 months pregnant and had to go for a biopsy she obviously wanted mum with her so i dragged myself along, just as they were cut
Avatar f tn Sometimes hard and constipated stools which come after much exertion can tear the anal mucosa. Try to take high fiber diet with plenty of oral fluids so constipation is avoided and there is no trigger to mucosal injury. Fiber rich foods include fruits, vegetables, green leafy, beans, whole wheat breads and pasta etc. Also consult a general surgeon who would do a digital rectal examination and if needed a proctoscopic examination to check for anorectal lesions.
Avatar n tn My 19 yr old daughter runs on a treadmill, and her heartbeat goes up to 180, with no other symptoms. Is this too high? Should I have her checked out? We have a family history of heart disease. She is healthy, although has fainted 3 times, not when exercising.
Avatar f tn ve dealt with a lot of dizziness, fatigue, fainting, (or more normally just getting really close to fainting) nausea and vomiting. I told my doctor about this and she thought it could be related to my migraines that I've had for years. My blood pressure has always been normal when the nurse checks it as well as my pulse. But I've become more aware recently how much my position effects my symptoms.
Avatar n tn Cold chills can come from having the flu, or perhaps in your case with the fainting, could be something as simple as you not having enough protein to eat on a regular basis. Protein is like the wood in a fire, it burns and heats up a person. And if you ain't got no fire, you'll get cold. In addition, protein gives you energy, and if you don't have any, you can get pretty weak and light-headed. But there are many reasons why this happened to you, those are just my top two choices.
Avatar n tn I agree with margypops, it may be your blood sugar being too low or too high. Also, your blood pressure could be a problem best to check it out soon with your doctor.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else having problems feeling really dizzy or fainting? I passed out last week in the middle of cosco and almost again in Wal-Mart anyone else having or had this problem??
Avatar f tn Did u try finding out the reason?? I know fainting can be caused by many things during pregnancy but some can lead to more complex situation.. U ahould consult ur doctor as it could be due to high or low blood pressure or dehydration etc...
492869 tn?1285018933 With the frequent fainting episodes often associated with Autonomic Dysfunction, I'd appreciate some insight from the community on how to prevent injuries. I, (like many here I'd assume), have had multiple head injuries resulting from my faints. I've fallen into furniture, down flights of stairs, etc. It's a concern of mine, even more so after my most recent head injury. Last summer a couple of us posted ideas about tolerating the summertime heat.
Avatar f tn I sometimes at night get woken up quickly, and my husband took my heart rate while I was asleep it dropped to 22 bpm. I dont have high cholesterol. This all started after I had an eating disorder and reicieved the Gardasil shots. What should I do?? Who should I see? My cardiologist says he cant find anything wrong.
Avatar f tn I had horrible timing with my fainting spells last pregnancy. I was always really sick with morning sickness and once I passed out while on the stairs and fell down half of them. Woke up at the bottom of the stairs so confused. It's an unfortunate thing but also a bit normal. The amount of blood in your body is increasing and that is usually what causes it. If it happens a lot you should definitely go in and get some blood work done.
Avatar n tn Hello AlanK We are volunteers here & not medical professionals. We do have a lot of experience with Type 1, however. I have read that in the years leading up to a diagnosis of diabetes, some individuals experience the condition of hypoglycemia. Some folks have chronic hypoglycemia, in which their bodies respond to glucose with an oversupply of insulin. In others, this condition seems to be present for a while before diabetes develops.
Avatar n tn There is a chance that your high blood pressure is causing a slow heart rhythm. If your blood pressure is too high, the body can respond by slowing the heart rate in order to reduce blood pressure. Just a theory, of course, and there may be other explainations, but usually the heart rate will increase with panic. The heart rate is usually slow at night. You may also have runs of bigeminy, that every second heart beat is a PVC or a PAC.
Avatar f tn maybe low bp..
Avatar n tn Theres a thing called head sparing where blood doesn't go to your head like it should while youre pregnant and can cause dizziness. My doctor said to always call if I have fainted or go to the e.r. also the heat from the shower and or dehydration, and high blood pressure (or way to low blood pressure) and a sudden rise or drop in blood sugar can all cause dizziness/fainting. I would at least call your doctor and let them know what happened even if you arent going to the e.r.
Avatar f tn Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I had a scare the other day at work. I'm 17 weeks pregnant and it's my first pregnancy. I went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests and made sure the babies heart beat was ok. The conclusion was that I was dehydrated. Drinking more fluids especially water is so important during pregnancy. They said it's really important to listen to your body. If you need to rest than rest. Lesson learned.

Avatar m tn I am a 43 yr old male, not overweight and in decent shape. Ihave had fainting problems over the past 4 years. I used to think it was stress/anxiety issues but now I am not sure. I started going to my family doctor and the doctor diagnosis was vasovagal syncopy. I have been tested for the following and all came back normal: EKG's 2x a year Eco- cardiogram CT scan Blood work 1x a year Heart Monitor for 2 weeks - of course i did not faint when I had it.
Avatar f tn I have had two fainting spells over the past 5 years where my hands and feet start to tingle before it happens as well as the feeling I have to frequently blinkand my neck feels like it needs to crack, it happened once when I was driving, I pulled over thank god.. After it happens I also have ringing in my ears and sort of the feeling in my head that I was hit with a bat. I have noticed it comes when I have high anxiety or stress.
