Avatar n tn Exelon patch is on back order from the manufacturer until October 24. What alternatives are there?
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

3039221 tn?1340461200 A few days ago I posted that the patch was working so well for me that I was tempted to add another. Of course, I didn't and it was widely agreed here that I shouldn't. With good cause. Yesterday, I began to feel ill, buzzing and had DIFFICULTY BREATHING!. I removed my patch and waited for over 14 hours for those feelings to pass. It was pretty scarry. I had read that the drug ramps up at 14-17 hours with each patch, now I know they continue ramp up between patches as well.
Avatar f tn Right now I am on the 21 mg patch, and I have been smoking a little here and there after taking off the patch. I have a severe headache, I am nausious, my lungs feel like their closes up, which is making my asthma worse, and now I have a pain in my right arm. Is this a sign of a nicotine overdose? If so, what should I do?
Avatar f tn When we arrived and they saw the Fentanyl Patch, the first thing they assumed was overdose. They did a tox screen and found no opiates in her system. The patch had been replaced approximately 24 hours prior. She has been on the Fentanyl Patch (100 mcg) for about 3 years and uses a tegaderm patch over it to hold it in place. It was on her stomach. She always places the patches on her stomach or upper arm in a fatty area. This is the 4th ER visit in the past 12 months due to withdrawals.
Avatar m tn I had the same reaction with the percocet where I had to take 2-3 at once. I was just prescribed the duragesic patch 25mcg but have not filled the prescription, while researching on internet found the ingredients in this patch being some powerful meds that I have never experienced before and I am in fear of overdose, not being able to concentrate on my job or addiction.
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
385161 tn?1270081218 Ok so I've been on the last step of the patch for 3 weeks now, on and off. I use it during the week and remove on weekends. On weekends I smoke and then put the patch back on and start a smokefree week again. This has happened 2x already and i am going on my 3rd shot. Does anyone know if this is even safe to do. Smoke on saturday and sunday and then use a patch mon-fri? I am on the lowest dose of the patch and obviously having trouble kicking my habit still.
Avatar m tn You can OD. However, it's sort of funny how no one's warned that they might OD while chain smoking. I have friends who use more than the recommended doses of NRT. One friend wears three patches, still one year later. Obviously, he is now addicted to the patches. That may be one problem of overusing NRT. I used NRT to quit and I don't at all regret it. However, NRT can become addictive and, therefore, those of us who use it should have an exit plan.
Avatar n tn Hello, Thanks for posting your query. I can understand your concern for these symptoms after the Juvederm injections. Juvederm is basically an injectible filler used by cosmetic, dermatological, and plastic surgeons to soften deep folds and reduce wrinkles in the faces of patients. It consists of hyaluronic acid which is found normally in muscles, skin and tendons of mammals.
Avatar f tn They also make a 12.5 mg patch........standard school of thought is to drop your dose by 10-20% every 7-10 days..... You dont want to cut the patches - there is a risk of overdose when you cut a time release medication and it is all absorbed at once......Using the various strength patches you should be able to arrive at a taper... Or your Doc may want to put you on a different med to taper down...
Avatar m tn I was just prescribed the duragesic patch 25mcg but have not filled the prescription, while researching on internet found the ingredients in this patch being some powerful meds that I have never experienced before and I am in fear of overdose, not being able to concentrate on my job or addiction. I also only take the pills while at work my job requires standing for 8 hours, I do not take the pills on my time off from work.
Avatar f tn If anthing they should be low because sometimes I forget to change my patch as often as I should. When I started using the patch my MD said put the new patch on in PM and then the old patch off the next AM. Since I started going to a pain specialist I noticed the label said to take old patch off before putting new patch on, so I'm thinking that's the reason why I am high? Any insight, suggestions?
Avatar f tn m questioning is that after the overdose from the patch, is it ok to go to a lower dose patch w/o problems, and if he is stupid enough to try smoking after this will there be more health problems? Right now he says he isn't smoking, but boy is he Bi___y! Thanks for all the input And good job Kathyjo!!!
Avatar n tn My wife found a great doctor in Tampa Florida and for the first time in 15 years is out of pain. She uses the flat patch, 25's. She is getting off all meds. On her next visit to the doctor she is going from the patch to a pill and she is getting off the pain medication. Yesterday she lost one of the patches. it fell off. can she cut the thing patch to make things last......it is not the gell patch.
1219328 tn?1266881841 Can anyone tell me if the withdrawals from fentanyl will be much worse after I stop applying the patch? I am only on 6mcg (I cut my 12.5 in half). Like I said...i have been weaning off slowly to this point....but in the last couple days I have had the shakes real bad and never had them this bad before. This has most certainly been one of the toughest things I have ever done. It makes it easier to have friends and family that are supportive....i thank God that he has blessed me with them.
10244871 tn?1408763842 I am a chronic pain patient after being hit head on by an F150 truck while I was riding my motorcycle, back on March of 2013. I am currently on a 50 meg Fentanyl patch. I just tapered down from the 75 meg patch. I am working toward getting completely off these patches! The problem I'm dealing with right now is that next weekend I leave for the outer banks. This is my first beach trip in about 8 years. Needless to say I am really looking to have a great time & enjoy myself!
Avatar f tn I am on fentanyl 75 mg patch xanax 2 three times a day and percocet. My patch burst and I dont know if I should put on another or not I just started these.
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar f tn One of the first things my doctor told me was how easy heat on the patch can be absorbed into the body and cause an overdose. One of released pills. One of the best things for me that I like about the patch, is I don't have to remember when I took a pill, or lost track on a 12 hour pill. I would skip a dose if I wasn't sure, better safe than sorry. Don't have that problem with the biggest reasons I waited as long as I did on a 24 hour pain control.
