Exelon is the only patch. There are medications that can be taken by mouth. I work at a health care facility and we continue to get the patches. Have you checked with other pharmacies?
t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon.
My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.
My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?

She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about.
Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause.

You can get t3 in a synthetic form (Cytomel) which can be added to your t4 regiment. This is good to try first before going with desiccated as the desiccated thyroid world can be difficult to manuver. (formula changes, availability, etc...). Also, magnesium has been a good suppliment for my daughter and has helped with aches and constipation and sleep if taken before bed. Psillium with lots of water (we used capsules) can also be of help to some with constipationt too).
Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.
However, a single day miss of the medicine, gave me a third seizure, which made me aware that missing the meds all together will anyways cause a seizure, and that the dosage has to be slowly reduced before completely finishing the dosage.
After 2 yrs of taking Valprid, my doctor switched me to Lamosyn...again 400 mg, due to Valprid's side effects such as weight gain. Lamosyn was also equally good. At the end of 3 yrs i.e.

No, 50mcg Synthroid was not supposed to take care of it. Adjusting thyroid meds is a bit of an art form, and many doctors have no clue what to do if they can't look up your recommended dose on their computers and slap you on it and have your labs drop perfectly into line. Sounds to me like your doctor knows his limitations and wants you to see an endocrinologist. I'd recommend an endo also...this is a lifelong condition, and you want to work on a good relationship with a doctor.
5mg percocet and an 80mg oxycontin is astronomical, and could mean the difference between life and death. Cutting a time release form of medication can lead to fatality...these are very serious medications with very serious side effects.
Synthroid is T4. T4 is the "storage" form of the thyroid hormones. It floats around in your blood stream until cells need thyroid hormone. However, cells can't use T4, they can only use T3, the "active" form of the thyroid hormones. T4 is converted to T3 at various sites in your body...liver, kidneys, gut and the site where it's needed. Lithium can impede the conversion of T4 to T3. So, once you take some of it away, you are suddenly raising your FT3 level.

So for liquid prozac for every 5ml you take thats 20mg in pill form. My doctor thought it was for every 5ml of the liquid it is 10mg or the prozac pill form. So anyways.... I told my doctor and she put me back down to 20mg. Now when i was on the 40mg my mind was clear and i was happy. Now..... Since iv been put back on 20mg my thoughts have came back and i fear it wont work again. Any advice?

Now that I have the capsules, is it okay to split when it is not a solid pill form but a powdered form? Would 180 mg be the suggested lowering dosage and then get another blood test? What would you suggest for synthroid/cytomel dosage to start. I tried synthroid in between my armour thyroid and ended up having menstrual bleeding (which I haven't had in quite some time after oblation proceedure ) and having a D&C.
You can also talk to your doctor about taking a magnesium supplement. A supplement in the form of magnesium glycinate, citrate, or malate is best. The oxide form is less expensive, but it also tends to have more of a laxative effect and it's not as readily absorbed. I found a gel cap that works well for me; it contains all 3 forms.
What would be a good dosage of milk thistle? I bought a concentrated extract 1000mg softgels from WalMart but the suggested use is so vague, "take 1 two to four imes daily". I am also wondering how others have gained from ths herb?
