Avatar n tn Exelon patch is on back order from the manufacturer until October 24. What alternatives are there?
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
358304 tn?1409709492 I came up with something interesting... TRANSDERMAL MAGNESIUM . It says that anxiety and panic are caused my lack of magnesium and other minerals and nutrients. We eat so much **** this day in age... even if it seems healthy, foods are processed... and lack so many nutrients and minerals. Do you think this could be true? I'm thinking about giving it a shot... and coming off my lexapro... if it doesnt work I'll go back on the lexapro. I've only been taking lexapro for 2weeks now.
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn Try Transdermal Magnesium. Its Magnesium chloride spray. You could use it everyday all over your body. Magnesium helps restless leg syndrome and leg cramps. I use it for cramps. My sis in law uses it for pain in the groin area. It helps. when you spray it on, it goes thru the skin to your blood to the cells where its needed .. 94% of the population accdg. to studies is low on Magnesium, this is one way to get your supplementation.

Avatar f tn Also make sure to take note of oral magnesium replacement and transdermal Mg at the same time. Oral Mg takes 6 to 12 months before it would build up enough in your system, while transdermal Mg will work instantly but you have to spray it on frequently. I got used to it. I use both but oral replacement is much simpler eventually. I have put my whole household, friends and family on Mg supplementation. You probably will end up doing the same once you do your research.
391038 tn?1298737386 Please ask your vet if Amitriptyline, Prozac, or other behavioural medication might be effective for his compulsive behavior. Amitriptyline can be give topical as a transdermal medication placed on the ear skin. This medication can be made into a transdermal by a compounding pharmacy.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.
1937645 tn?1324236061 Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question, I was pleasantly surprised. She is on a transdermal medication for the hyperT and I'm wondering if she may be allergic to it. Seems the incessant licking started when she went on the meds. It's tough to watch her lose her bearings and start walking in to walls as a result of the blindness. During our last visit to the Vet, I was told that she was not blind because her pupils dialated when a light was shone on them.
Avatar f tn If you do the transdermal route, should you still take an oral supplement too? Anyone have any suggestions on where to purchase a transdermal oil or gel online and is one better than the other? Thank you so much for any info, you all have been great. It is nice to have a place to go where people understand! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!

988694 tn?1332359479 There is transdermal (through the skin) magnesium. Not sure how this will go if you develop hives easily. You could try testing before buying. I bought Ancient Minerals transdermal (through the skin) oil at my local health food store. I found it stings a bit sometimes so i splash a bit of water onto the area and it's fine. The Ancient Minerals "Transdermal Magnesium Therapy" and "Magnesium Application and Use" articles are very informative.
