An acidifier is normally to maintain the correct acid balance in the vagina which helps to avoid bacterial vaginal infections as well as yeast infections... however, from personal experience I have had far fewer infections now that I have been using estrogen cream. I'm 26, no I don't take birth controls. I'm not even sure how I got hormonal imbalance. My doctor said it's stress, and that my estrogen level is at 203. I'm not sure if that's high. My sex hormones I don't have it anymore either. I constantly keep getting yeast infections. And I have to keep seeing the doctor for fluconazole but it isn't working at all.
try besides the cream the actual suppostory that goes inside you, this should help ,, also with some women me included alot of yeast can be caused by eating bread, foods that have yeast in them will also cause yeast infections,, so i know for myself i have to watch what i eat as to how much yeast products i eat.. makes a big difference.. but its best to see a doctor just to be on the safe side..
At this point I feel I am going back and forth between yeast infections and low estrogen symptoms. Needless to say I am losing my mind and am in agony.
Any suggestions? OR home remedies? Baths? Anything would help.
I am 26 and have had dryness pretty much my whole life but it seems to get progessively worse. I get probably around 3 infections a month whether it be yeast or bacterial or urinal. I am wondering if any of these symptoms are in correlation with each other. I am also wondering if i could benefit from vaginal estrogen therapy, even at the age of 26.
The last time I went was about 2 1/2 weeks ago because it was itchy, and dry, and the doctor took a swab and a couple of days later said it was yeast and I was given Terazale (I know I spelled that wrong)for a yeast infection. I started my period right after that and my period just ended two days ago. Today, I notice the creamy, thin, white discharge again.

t unbearable itching and I had no discharge. Fast forward to now, I have had to cure 3 yeast infections with diflucan so far and they keep coming back. So, I'm starting to think it's my birth control. I switched pills about a year ago now to Reclipsen and now Enskyce because they changed the manufacturer. This has a fairly high does of estrogen because I suffered breakthrough bleeding on every other pill I've taken, but I noticed that once my bleeding stopped, the itching started.
You probably have Candidasis. Overgrowth and mutation of normal canadida in the intestines which can be caused by birth control pills, antibiotics etc. You will need Nystatin to kill off the bad candida and also replace the acidophillus that has been killed off as our body does not replace it. You can be tested for this, most people either have chronic diarrhea or constipation with this.
I have never had a yeast infection and I'm 49 years old. I'm extremely dry in the area but I've research the topic and I can't find where dryness and yeast infection go together. I'm assuming it does I've taken the pill today and I hope within 24 hours it will be somewhat better. Help !!?
I have chronic yeast infections since I was 15 I am 35 now. I went to a naturopath and she put me on suppliments and as well as eating gluten and Dairy free and they went away. I had these cuts for 2 years straight and every time they did a swab it came back negative for yeast. There are different forms of yeast as well that they don't test for and that is why some women have Chronic yeast infections.
Well you can get yeast infections whenever but they seem to come more when your pregnant. Yeast infection is bacteria in the vagina and when your pregnant your immune system isn't as great and can't fight off bacteria like normal. Hope this makes sense.

i've had yeast infections, BV... bladder infections the whole nine yards but i've never had an STD. This is my first experience w/ a rash on my vagina.. theres no bumps or pus or pimples its just so red it looks like its medium rare! it kinda itches, never burns when i pee. it seems like everytime i'm active around the house or working out, or ya no walking the rash turns from pink to bright bright red. i have a doc appt on the 28th but dont want to wait that long.

Eat more vegetables, whole fruits and poultry, fish and meat. Possibly even take an oral yeast product - AZO Yeast. For lubricant, try a dab of 100% aloe vera. Once you are through with the Lotrimin cream treatment, you can dab this on after every shower if you still feel dry, but I bet you will be better. Oh, and all your underwear needs to be washed in hot water with carefully measured detergent and about 1/2 cup of baking soda in the water to kill the yeast.
Hi ! With CFS, I used to get numerous infections (sinus, URI's, yeast and bladder infections). I was undiagnosed at the time and so I was being treated with antibiotics and then eventually I found out how to get rid of some of these infections without prescription medications. It looks like you are doing the same and being pro-active when it comes to your health. What helped me with bladder infections was drinking lots of water and cranberry juice.
Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
I've heard you can take monistat for a yeast infection. But I would talk to your doctor first. Treatment for a yeast is different than bacterial, and you should make sure you don't have any other complications before starting something.
If yes,then gall bladder disease and acid reflux and vaginal infections(bacterial vaginosis,candidiasis and Chlamydia)have to be ruled out.An evaluation by a physician and gynecologist and cervical swabs can help in confirming diagnosis.
