estradiol with ivf

I am currently taking Lupron and Estradiol leading up to my IVF. I am having awful headaches and some nausea with the estradiol. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? Thanks!

This was my first IVF cycle but my ovaries did not respond well at all to Gonal F 225 IUs and my Estradiol level was 41 on my 5th day. So the doctor increased Gonal F to 300 IUs and my Estradiol level increased on my 10th day to 192, but I still only had 3 follies. :( He cancelled this cycle of IVF and wants to go with IUI instead. The chances are slimmer but I do have 3 follies and just maybe one of my hubby's lil soldiers will penetrate one of my stubborn lil eggs.

6, Estradiol 72, Day 10 FSH 16.1, Estradiol 482). We are planning to start IVF this cycle. During my baseline today, I had only 5 total antral follicles, and my ovary size was smallish. I am extremely discouraged. I started Acupuncture 3 weeks ago, and wish I had started sooner. Can in still help me conceive or have a successful IVF cycle with these results? Thanks!!

so, there's a tendency that my doctor will cancel this cycle? i'm so worried...tomorrow will be my follow-up check-up with my doctor, but i'm really so confused w/ this result. On my previous ivf treatment, ,my estradiol level was 21 pg/ml, and this cycle it's >20 pg/ml...what was your estradiol level when they cancelled your cycle?

I went to a specialist- he said because I dont have so many eggs that he have to go agresive - gave me 150 iu Bravelle injectebles, estradiol, DHEA, and baby aspirin. After for 4 days I have to go for sonogram to see how I am responding. I want to do IUI. If anyone had IUI with Bravelle? Please, I need to know how it works!! I am 36, DH is 45.

Well, the doctor who did my transfer told me to take 2 estrodial per day and 3 prometrium per day and shot of progesterone every other day and I wasn't due to go back until my pregnancy test 10/7. However, I was unhappy with several lapses in care that I received along the process so I switched and they immediately started doing my blood levels every 3-4 days. I guess it helps them to keep your hormones where they need to be to support pregnancy.

Antral follicle count is an important variable. Over 20 This is pretty much a "no go" level in our center. Very poor (or no) response to stimulation.

My first IVF cycle I had the same problem with my Estradiol. The Dr knows what he is doing. My Dr made me wait as well until my levels were where he was comfortable. I got PG that cycle. Sadly ended in MC @ 7 weeks, but that had nothing to do with it. If he had not made me wait I would not have even got PG. However I would have been so frustrated if he had not taken the time to tell me why he was making me wait.

hello ladies, i just had my day 3 labs done ,and come to find out that my estrogen levels are extremly low, lt was 16. my obgyn told me not to worry about this and we would try clomid. ( which i know i dont have problems ovulating. i have been reading and i believe that estrogen plays a very important role in conceiving! am i wrong? do levels get higher throughout your cycle? has anyone had troubles conceiving with low levels? . can someone take estrogen supplements?

Day 6 of STIMS, estradiol levels 41 and only 3 follicles. Doctor increased my Gonal F from 225 to 300 IU and continued with Merional 150 IU and Decapeptyl 0.1mg. Has anyone else had these kind of results? This is my first round of IVF and I am so disappointed. The doctor had expected more follicles. My question is, by increasing the dose could more follicles produce at this stage since I'm already on Day 6?

Hi kp, I too have been diagnosed with a diminished ovarian reserve. Although I'm only 30, my numbers are far worse than yours:) I do feel that your FSH and E2 levels are very normal and you have an excellent chance of success with IVF.

Your FSH is great! (measures ovarian reserve). I think the other numbers are great, too! (not sure about prolactin) One of your tubes is blocked? That will decrease the chances somewhat, but plenty of women have conceived with one tube. At our age, though, we all have the time factor to consider, so IVF would be an excellent option. I know it's very expensive. We're considering it but I have no idea how we'd pay for it! I have a very high FSH. Last year it was 22!

Is it normal to continue to take Estradiol after finding you are pregnant after doing IVF? I had to get a refill on the estradiol requested by my doctor but I noticed on the cautions label it said "Do Not Take This Med If Pregnant"? Is this normal?

dosage was increase to 375 ui for 3 days and still, estradiol is low and no follicles seen. doctor advised to cancel the ivf due to abandon cycle and try next cycle again with an increase dosge of 450ui. Hello, we did a fresh IVF 01/16 and I did my blood test 8dp5dt came back 332 and 10dp5dt came back 501.
