Avatar m tn I personally found generic Estrace (micronized estradiol tablets) to work better for me than the patch. And a bonus is that it is a $4 (for 30) / $10 (for 90) prescription whereas I think I was paying $70 for a 3 month supply of patches.
Avatar f tn I bought an over-the-counter cream of Estriol USP, which has less than .75% of Estriol per pea-sized amount. As soon as I used it on my abdomen, I began having the normal symptoms I would expect with my period, which brought me great relief. My flow was then normal. It had not been for two months. The next two days I used the cream on my arm, and then my inner thigh. When I used it on my arm, for a couple of hours I had muscle pain which then moved to my arm bone below the affected muscle.
Avatar n tn I start using dhea micronized 25 mg twice a day for egg health issue but I am feeling pain in my left breast . Is it side effect ?
Avatar n tn I have heard that endocrinologists are not all they are "cracked up to be." Is this a primary care or gynecologist who will not prescribe Estrace tablets? Estrace is "bio-ID" (micronized estradiol) just like the gel but he probably does not like that it is oral since that has a higher clot risk. I do not swallow my tablets. I dissolve them between cheek and gum which pretty much bypasses the first pass through the liver.

Avatar f tn Thanks, guys. I took micronized DHEA and human growth hormone shots, which the dr said may have contributed to the better embryo quality. I hope it works because this time I had a really bad reaction to the medication (prob the lupron)--and I don't want to go through that again!
Avatar n tn My wife has PCOS and a very short luteal phase (~5 days). They prescribed her micronized progesterone suppositories (200mg, bd) during the first trimester. But we found a few articles indicating prenatal exposure to progesterone may have a significant effect in the baby's long term sexual behavior/development. Here are the ones we found: In Humans: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28374065/ In Animals: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-020-78976-x https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.

374593 tn?1257879950 I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.
Avatar f tn How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
Avatar f tn TALWIN® Nx contains pentazocine hydrochloride, USP, equivalent to 50 mg base and is a member of the benzazocine series (also known as the benzomorphan series), and Naloxone hydrochloride, USP, equivalent to 0.5 mg base. TALWIN® Nx is an analgesic for oral administran Did this come fro the doctor?
Avatar f tn cells throughout the body take in DHEA and DHEAS and convert them into estradiol and testosterone. It is estimated that this "intracrine" process provides 70% of a young woman's total androgen effect." So, perhaps this is a contributor to the low testosterone level. Also, your Vitamin D is too low. Optimal is about 55-60. I also recommend that you test for Vitamin A, Vitamin B12 and ferritin. Vitamin A because of its potential effect on the acne.
