Common Questions and Answers about Estradiol early pregnancy

Avatar f tn Some people take it in order to lose weight, but that would be a weird thing to do to someone trying to get pregnant (or support an early pregnancy). How much does the hCG cost? Do you get an itemized list?
Avatar f tn Hello, Crinone is progesterone which is given to support for the lining of the uterus and is needed to maintain an early pregnancy. There may not be enough progesterone made by the ovary during an IVF cycle, and so more progesterone is routinely given. Crinone vaginal gel, intramuscular progesterone, and Prometrium capsules are natural progesterone preparations which are safe to use during pregnancy.
Avatar n tn Much worse then pms. Could this be a side effect of the estradiol, or could it be pregnancy effects. I go for a pregnancy test on 2/25. When I called and asked my dr. about these side effects I was told it is just a reaction to all the hormones inside my body, and that my progesterone level was excellent# to hold a pregnancy. Was told to take tylenol, but it does nothing. Has anyone else taken estradiol after in iui and experiences these reactions?
Avatar f tn How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
Avatar n tn first of all CONGRATS on the BFP : ) are you still having pain on that right side?? it could be a cyst or just your body reactin to the changes.. I hear a lot of people talk about twinges when they are pregnant.. Ectopic pregnancies woulnd't be having pain typically this early, and the fact that your Beta doubled also makes that less likely.. GOOD luck and keep us updated!
374593 tn?1257879950 I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.
Avatar n tn and i had an hsg test done 2008 and i didnt have any blockage everything was fine...and with the ectopic pregnancy it didnt damage my tube cuz i was early and the give me the shot to make it go away... and that was on oct 28 2009...so now i dnt know wat to do cuz i really was hoping that i get preg this month cuz ii just turn 32ys...please dr advise me on wat to do or have my dr do cuz im so desperate...
1134811 tn?1284550821 The change in cervical mucus I did not notice. However my doctor prescribed estradiol at the same time with my 150mg of Clomid. The estradiol helps to create more of the beneficial ewcm. I also did the 150mg of Clomid with no IUI. The side effects at this high of a dose were terrible for me though... Ugh!
Avatar f tn I am currently taking Lupron and Estradiol leading up to my IVF. I am having awful headaches and some nausea with the estradiol. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Hi, everybody. My name's Kristin. I really, really hope someone here can help me. I'm terrified. I'm twenty-four, but for the last eight months or so, I've been having menopausal symptoms. My doctor had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol levels tested twice. Here are my results: FSH first test: 6.2 second test: 6.8 LH first test: normal apparently, but I didn't see what exactly it was second test: 7.
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-21091-656/drospirenone-ethinyl-estradiol-oral/ethinyl-estradiol-drospirenone-24-4-oral/details Please do not experiment with birth control. The chances of pregnancy from this event remain extremely low, for all of the reasons I mentioned in my first post. There is not a lot I can add to that, nor can anyone give you hard numbers.
Avatar f tn Ranges can vary a bit by lab. However, they should not be radically different. Estradiol, estrone, and estriol are forms of estrogen with estradiol and estrone being the primary (and maybe only) systemic forms of estrogen. My lab's ranges show a max non-pregnancy and non-menopausal value of estradiol to be 498 pg/mL and estrone 268 pg/mL. Estradiol can exceed 4300 in the first trimester of pregnancy. And post-menopausal levels are less than 54 and less than 65, respectively.
Avatar f tn I was told it is unlikely this pregnancy will result in a baby. Due to slow raising numbers. She is now 13.
Avatar f tn I had PCOS problem 3 years back but now my periods were normal, I also had a history of a miscarriage and tubal pregnancy along with a successful pregnancy.

Avatar n tn She may indeed have early signalling of the pituitary hormones. I would ask her pediatrician to refer you to a pediatric endocrinologist. They could get levels while waiting to include LH, FSH, estradiol, TSH, free T4, these are the puberty hormones and thyroid hormones that are helpful in looking at other causes. A pelvic ultrasound from the abdomen will look at her ovary to see if there is a cyst causing the estrogen effect. Yes, since she had breasts at age 6 she needs an evaluation.
Avatar f tn I'm 44 and have had very sporadic periods for a couple of years. My last period was last July. I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and my doctor has confirmed perimenopause. My fsh was 58 and my estradiol was 223. He said that explained why I had had any "normal" menopause symptoms and said it means I don't need to consider hrt yet. Having Googled it seems unusual for estradiol levels to still be so high. Does anyone know what it might mean?
216278 tn?1308861082 I am almost 37 years old and doing a hormonal profile this month (b/w every other day, basically!!) I had Estradiol draws pre-o, and now Estradiol and Progesterone draws post-o! On Peak +3, my Estradiol was 70 (went from 104 to 323 to 70) and my progesterone was 5.8. It is only 3DPO, but I am trying to get an idea of whether it's a 'good' number or not - Any help will be appreciated!!!!
778044 tn?1299542934 Alli - Did you take it orally then? It is safe then to take in early pregnancy?
1651832 tn?1301690605 Hi....I am new here. I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy on May 13th, 2011 (including my ovaries). I've been dealing with severe bleeding issues for over a year now and have tried a few different things before deciding to go with a hysterectomy. My maternal grandmother had ovarian uterine cancer and died when she was 39. My mom had a complete hysterectomy in her early 30's (she passed away 7 years ago from bone cancer). There is also heart disease on both sides of my family.
Avatar f tn Hi, everybody. I've been experiencing hot flashes, hair loss, irregular periods, and dry eyes for several months. I had my hormone and thyroid levels tested twice, and, while everything technically came back normal, my estradiol (52 pg/ml) level concerns me. I've read that anything below the 50 pg/ml mark is not a good sign. Is this true? Does this number suggest that I'm in the early stages of premature ovarian failure, or are there other causes of low estradiol?
Avatar f tn In the past three days my beta increased from 186 to 534, but my progesterone and estradiol both dropped. Progesterone went from 93 to 73.3 and estradiol went from 520 to 503. Should I be concerned? I'm 15 days post-transfer. Thanks.
216278 tn?1308861082 , it has been determined that I have sub-clinical hypothyroidism and my estrogen levels are low. This is the first month that I have worn an Estradiol patch and am just getting concerned! I know that the best advice and words of wisdom come from those who have experienced it, so I thought that I would start here... Is it possible that this patch can raise my Estrogen to a level that would hinder my chances at pregnancy this month? (I wear it for 10 days after I ovulate!) Thanks!
