Avatar f tn I would not discontinue any of that medication without a doctors say. Prednisone is dealing with an immune issue, Heprin is thinning your blood so blood clots don't form. I take both these too. I would think your doctor would probably have you stop the estrogen and progesterone between 10 and 12 weeks. I know it's a lot right now to take but it's so very important to make sure you take these meds consistently right now.
Avatar n tn Women who take Tamoxifen are also at an increased risk (compared with aromatase inhibitors) of developing blood clots which can travel to other organs and cause complications like pulmonary embolism or stroke. Those taking Aromasin, on the other hand, have an increased risk of developing significant osteoporosis and bone fractures compared with those taking Tamoxifen.
631676 tn?1333718203 New doc took CD3 blood and these are the numbers. She seemed happy with the Estradiol but said FSH was okay/normal since it was under 10. It's not much under 10? Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn In the past three days my beta increased from 186 to 534, but my progesterone and estradiol both dropped. Progesterone went from 93 to 73.3 and estradiol went from 520 to 503. Should I be concerned? I'm 15 days post-transfer. Thanks.
Avatar n tn the menopausal estrogen our body makes and not as friendly an estrogen as Estradiol, which is what our bodies make when we are in our 20's. But the thought is that without ovaries, the body cannot utilize progesterone as was once thought. Examples of this type of estrogen in its bioidentical form include Climara and Vivelle at various doses. Having said that, there is also a school of thought that the only thing needed is Estradiol and very little progesterone..
Avatar f tn well, just to update. I only bled for 1 day, it seemed to have stopped. I'm on progesterone now (plus estradiol). They measured the lining, it was at 9mm. So we are just going to watch and wait. If I don't spot or anything today/tonight, we'll continue on with the FET and they'll thaw the embies. I think the progesterone stopped the bleeding. Though I can't say it was real blood, it was more like blood clots, with some brownish pink spotting.

The first blood work I had done in May it was 900 and now the bloodwork I had done last week showed it was 385? I had the blood done on CD3 both times...what does this mean? i have searched the web and it said on CD3 your estradiol should be under 80, mine is way too high.

11587059 tn?1427628263 Always better to play it safe and see what they say. He or she can better determine the cause. Blood clots can be very serious. I have a clotting disorder and am on daily lovenox shots throughout my pregnancy as a preventive measure.
Avatar n tn My mom has had a headache for 2 months straight now and was in the hospital for a while and they found out that she has a blood clot in her head in the transverse and sigmoid sinuses. It is the length of the middle of her mouth all the way back to her neck. It is still there and she is still having very bad headaches. She is on Coumadin and pain medicine. Any suggestions on what we could do help her get rid of this clot and to ease her headaches.

Avatar n tn A new computer software developed by researchers at the University at Buffalo that simulates clot dissolution using the same techniques employed to analyze chemical reactors will provide information for physicians to know precisely how blood clots, and then tailor drug therapies and reduce patients risks The computer software is a program that provides a 'snapshot' of a blood clot undergoing dissolution, By simulating reaction and transport processes at and near the clot, the softwar
Avatar f tn Good day, I have been passing large(and small) blood clots for the past several months. I went to my gyn and he found that I have polyps. Understanding that, I am still passing clots intermittently and it is detrimental to my sex life. Although my husband doesn't say anything, it's like playing russian roulette. You just never know when the clots will appear, could be before, during or after sex. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Could this be related to endometriosis? How can this be resolved?
Avatar m tn When it comes to heavier bleeding or actual blood and not the brown dried up blood, or passing clots it's best to be seen at er asap.

Avatar f tn hello, My name is Jen and, up until a few months ago, was a perfectly health 24 year old college student and mother of three. On July 2nd i had a colonoscopy, July 3rd (spent 8 hrs in the ER) diagnosed with a DVT in the upper extremity stemming from my IV injection site. Now, over a month later the Dr.'s cannot seem to regulate my prescription of warfrin (blood thinners) and yet they feel it not necessary to do a coagulation profile....What is wrong with me?
1069666 tn?1255243515 I'm 21 years old and I've been having blood clots with my period. When I was 13 I started out with a normal period but the next couple of years I started not having any that lasted till I was about 16, then it started with huge blood clots. Over the next couple of years I went to the doctors and they seem not to be able to help.
Avatar n tn It will only block the flow of urine, causing the bladder to distend and become very full and painful. Blood clots occur in the vascular system for a number of reasons. Vessel wall irritation caused by IV's, narrowing of vessels from plaque buildup, hardening of the arteries, high blood sugar that causes sticky glycoproteins to form. Anything that slows blood flow can promote platelets in the blood to stick to the narrow vessel. After a while the platelets form a clot.
Avatar m tn Thank so much,I have been to the er 2weeks ago and did MRI of my brain and lungs.they said there was new clot in the lung and then said they think they were looking at the old one by mistake.the doc said there was some abnormalities but nothing to worry about.I just don't know what more I can do.

Avatar f tn I 9 weeks pregnant and I know that I'm high risk (8th pregnancy) 5 natural births 1 c section 1 miscarriage and 1 abortion. I don't have any pain no bleeding but for the past two nights I passed a total of 10 quarter sized clots. I'm really scared. 1395422 tn?1308016251 Hello, Tenderness, pain, swelling, cramps, warmth, discoloration, redness and inflammation are some symptoms of having a blood clot in the calf. More serious symptoms include infection or death of leg muscle tissue, pulmonary embolism, heart attack and even stroke which are caused by movement of blood clot from calf to elsewhere in the body. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
