216278 tn?1308861082 I am almost 37 years old and doing a hormonal profile this month (b/w every other day, basically!!) I had Estradiol draws pre-o, and now Estradiol and Progesterone draws post-o! On Peak +3, my Estradiol was 70 (went from 104 to 323 to 70) and my progesterone was 5.8. It is only 3DPO, but I am trying to get an idea of whether it's a 'good' number or not - Any help will be appreciated!!!!
Avatar f tn FSH: 4.5 and Estradiol 59. The levels yesterday 3/29/10 (day 10) were: FSH: 9.7 and Estradiol 163. I am using OPK's per the direction of my fertility doctor on cycle days 12-21 (I started early and have been getting negative results - not surprising since I know that it might be too soon to ovulate). Does anyone know how to interpret these day 10 results? Thank you!
Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?
Avatar n tn However, I was unhappy with several lapses in care that I received along the process so I switched and they immediately started doing my blood levels every 3-4 days. I guess it helps them to keep your hormones where they need to be to support pregnancy. From what the pharmacist told me, progesterone is the pregnancy hormone and will go up if pregnant and typically estrogen would too if it wasn't IVF.
Avatar f tn I'm 44 and have had very sporadic periods for a couple of years. My last period was last July. I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and my doctor has confirmed perimenopause. My fsh was 58 and my estradiol was 223. He said that explained why I had had any "normal" menopause symptoms and said it means I don't need to consider hrt yet. Having Googled it seems unusual for estradiol levels to still be so high. Does anyone know what it might mean?
1418198 tn?1483277496 I hope I font sound foolish, but what is ESTRADIOL and what does it mean if your levels are low/high???
Avatar f tn My progesterone/estradiol levels were a little crazy too post-transfer. My re's nurse said as long as they stayed above 20 then all was good (progesterone). Honestly now that I think about it, I don't think they did only one estradiol test after my transfer. In fact, the highest number I got on my progesterone level was 62 - most often it was in the upper 30's so I think you're doing just fine - congrats on your pregnancy!
Avatar f tn ve been feeling the symptoms of menopause so had my levels checked. Total estrogen came back as 892 pg/ml. The doctor is telling me this is within normal limits of the lab that tested my blood. It sounds high to me and I cannot find any definite answers online. Any information is greatly appreciated as this has me worried. Thank you.

298462 tn?1259457975 hello friends! i was just checking in to see if you ladies would like to give me your opinion-- i'm on cycle day 9 and today i had an ultrasound and blood work. i was told i had several follies but they aren't >12 yet! i was also told my estrogen level was 198. for cycle day 9 i was told this is all sounding good--- i was instructed to do my gonal-f pen tonight and tuesday night and go back for B/W and US on wednesday morning. what are your opinions????? anyone with me here?
Avatar n tn Having said that, there is also a school of thought that the only thing needed is Estradiol and very little progesterone.. to keep the levels from fluctuating, which is what you are experiencing (in my opinion... I am a teacher, not a doctor, but I have been going through the 'hormone jungle' for some time now). Take a look at my profile page, particularly the entry, or comment, from this week on my journal page (bioidentical hormones) and try to get some of the books...
Avatar f tn The most important question for a hypothyroid patient is always, How do you feel? If you feel well, then your levels are adequate. If you don't feel your best, then your levels are a bit lower than needed. Since your FT4/FT3 numbers have dropped over the last two years, why is the doctor reluctant to increase your dosage. Dosage is irrelevant, only the physiological effects are important. Seems the doctor should be wiling to get your FT4/FT3 back to prior levels.
Avatar n tn I am 31 years of age and recently had a blood test which has come back abnormal, but I do not understand the results, could you please help to explain what they mean below: My LH level = 1.9 abnormal? My FSH level = 5.7 iu/L My GP has given me medication to take from day 14 to 28 day of my cycle, for the next couple of months and then test me again ? Please help as I feel I am going crazy !
647365 tn?1292472212 I think the estradiol levels usually are about 200 per mature follicle...but that would be right before ovulation, so I'm sure your numbers went up in the four days before your IUI.
Avatar f tn It happened to me -the cycle got cancelled but I really think I didn't respond because of my age (43 at the time) but I'm willing to bet w/the higher dose of Follistm, you'll respond and do okay - especially since you're young. Try not to worry/stress too much.
1386249 tn?1303092096 I need some feedback on my hormone levels since this hormone testing is new to me. I haven't heard from my OB, but this is what my Progesterone and Estradiol levels are according to my family doc: tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct?
374593 tn?1257879950 E2 levels supposed to be 200-600 per mature follicle at the time of the trigger. Elevated E2 I think indicates overstimulation. Good luck to yoou this cycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar m tn I recently took some blood tests which show normal levels of IGF-1, Prolactin, Testosterone, Estradiol, but low levels of Luteinizing Hormone and low levels of Follicule Stimulating Hormone. Does this indicate anything?
Avatar m tn I have PCOS and for the last couple months, I was introduced to Letrozole. Up until this month during my Follicle check, I was told that the cycle was not as successful as the others. My RE prescribed me Menopur and took 2 vials the following day = 150ml. After taking the Menopur, I was asked to get labs done a day later. My FSH 6.2, my LH 11.3, and Progesterone 0.5. I'm waiting on my Estradiol results. Can someone please tell me these mean and what they should be during each cycle?
Avatar n tn If less than 60 years old and taking tamoxifen or toremifene, the blood levels of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and estradiol should be in the post-menopausal range. So for your case, you should have your blood levels for FSH and estradiol tested. If the levels are low enough, you could be considered as post-menopausal.
Avatar n tn They then had me do 25 IU fiollistim with an LH Luveris which worked and my estradiol levels were consistent with my follicle production.
