I think insurance companies are dropping many drugs because acceptable generic equivalents are available, as is the case with Nexium (Esomeprazole). The generic version of the drug will work very well for you. I'm betting you will be just fine.
I wonder if you have considered discussing tapering off/discontinuing Nexium/Esomeprazole and see what happens. After having the Nissen Fundoplication surgery I was able to discontinue taking the drug and have been symptom free.
I am aware of Protonix generic Pantoprazole. I have now been advised by a Pharmacist that Prevacid will help me. Will it?? Is this a Beta Blocker only or more? Are there ANY Proton pump Inhibitors out there other than Protonix and generic?. Is there a hospital injection of medicine that can be given?
I will anxiously await any and all replys. I am living on Pepcid now with little relief.
My Pharmacy puts Protonix at $737. for 180 40mg.tabs of Protonix and $570 for Pantoprazole.
As fas as I know, nexium (esomeprazole) only interferes with biaxin (clarithromycin). It heightens the amount of esomeprazole by inhibiting the degradation of esomeprazole. Can I take esomeprazole,diazepam,antihistamine( Given by doc to help sleep ). Green tea capsules,cranberry pills,multivitamins and kanna together please? And on days I don't take my diazepam can i take valerian instead with these other supplements?

dr give me letter for my own dr..for new tablets for my reflux..on getting my tablets they called esomeprazole .40mg twice daily..and iv got to say they have helped my reflux,so what im thinking now is esomeprazole the same family of meds as nexius..i dont have to take these new meds with food just full glass water...i will check with my drs on thid .
t want to keep the baby,,, I just took nexium 20mg esomeprazole.....I was wondering if it could be one of the remedies in abortion..... please help!

I was given esomeprazole and other drugs but since then I have had chest pains in the left, shortage on breath , some cough though I had this before and tightness in the chest sometimes. What could this be?

He checked my larynx and said I had inflammation due to GERD. He told me to make some diet changes and to take Esomeprazole 40mg every day. After three months he told me to continue for a year. Close to a year, friends were concerned I was on it fir too long and I called the ENT and he took me off it. After stopping it I have suffered of the most horrible heartburn and excessive burping. It’s been three weeks and it’s not as bad, but the problem still going on.

I've had GERD for a few years and I take 40mg of Nexium (Esomeprazole) every day. I'd like to try magic (Psilocybin) mushrooms. It it possible that they would aggravate my reflux or interact negatively with the Nexium? I was taking Esomeprazole levosulpride empty stomach daily. In november2016, i had constipation, bloating, acid reflux. Having bad stomach ache i was admitted and diagnosed with infective ulceritis. Started medication. But condition wasnt improving. In april2017, had colonoscopy done. Found terminal illeal ulcer. After the medications, condition wasnt improving. Severe constipation, acid reflux. I have consulted numerous doctors. Some have told me to live with this my entire life.

My blood magnesium levels were low a few weeks ago and they just got back to normal right before I started taking the Nexium. I've been taking Naxium in the evening (4-5pm) at least an hour before having dinner.
I was put on Esomeprazole 20 but i had very bad side effects especially dizziness and body weakness... I went back to the doctor who changed the medication to Lansoprazole 30mg but still i feel like there is no improvement on the dizziness and body weakness. Hi I'm 26 years old and have been having stomach pain for more than 18 months now.Whenever I feel this pain the middle part of my back bone as well.This happens when I have eat or drink somthing and long time haven't eaten.I have been taking esomeprazole 40mg injection & pentazocin daily which I got from the pharmacy as per my Gp prescribed.
esomeprazole inorder to reduce the acid and help heal the ulcer as I was told but my all test is clear there was no ulcer.

s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.
I was not on this which is a combo of esomeprazole and naproxen.But I was on both of them.....the esomeprazole is a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) which blocks acid from forming, so u must have GERD and acid reflux like most of us....for me the PPI stopped working and I am now on a H2blocker.
As for Naproxen or Gabapentin (generic) I was on this for a short time and it too forever to get myself straightened out as I have IBS and it did affect that condition for me.

e on Wednesday night and all heart etc ok but this pain was terrible codine didn’t touch it It’s like a burning grawling pain
So I have been back and forth to the drs for few weeks now they can’t get me in for an endoscopy for a month or so Iv had my bloods done all ok and Pancras checked and ultrasound no gallstones etc but I have this chronic pain in my stomach and back shoulder blades mostly at night and Iv had to take morphine to take away the pain it’s that bad.
