I recently started with the 1mg dose of arimidex (standard) and feel horrible. Tired, shaky, mental fog, very emotional. I weigh only 124lb and recently had my ovaries removed, so my question is: why do I have to take the full 1mg of Armidex when women who are heavier than me and still have their ovaries take the same dosage. Will a half dose or every other day dose be just as effective for me? If anyone knows where I can get this answered, please let me know.
Unfortunately there are still doctors who go by the standard 800 dose for geno 2 and 3's, sense you wasn't und until week 12 have you talked with him about extending tx to 48 weeks.....
Im taking a 5 day course of high dose steroids for my relapse. I get the dose in the morning and notice my pulse rate slowly rises during the day . At rest it is 95 and I can hear my heart pounding while I am trying to sleep which makes me more anxious. My chest feels sore too. I keep generally very fit and healthy apart from RRMS and my heart rate is only this high normally when I am recovering from exercise. My BP is good thankfully.
t think a dose of 1000mg would hurt at all and maybe even the old way of doing the standard dose of 800. Myself i would be concerned about doing only 600mg but i'm no doctor and fell strongly against dose reduction.
As for the 80 - 80 rule, med help would delete my post if i said what my heppa thinks about that........ Hang in there, i think the odds will still be in your favor if you can do the 24 weeks at 600mg.....
Hi, Venlafaxine hydrochloride is Viepax. Viepax is the generic form of Effexor. I take 150mg Effexor at breakfast, and it releases during the day.
When I was given Viepax, I did not find it as effextive as Effexor, and asked to be put back on Effexor. Feel much better now.
You are taking a lot of Venlafaxine over a day, unlike some, who take a daily dose. Perhaps there was a reason for this in your case. There are XP versions, and XL versions. The difference is in the release time.

I took standard single dose of azithromicin week one, then took standard single dose of metrodizanole a few days later.
After that a test confirmed I had chlamydia and recieved another dose of azithromicin and a week course of doxycycline.
All my symptoms (urethra irritation, burning when peeing, frequent urination, watery discharge) have all gone, except for the small cloudy discharge I squeeze out in the morning. This has been this way for a week now.
The standard approach to stopping this kind of a medication is to do it over a three week period....first week, lower dose to lowest possible once a day; second week, that dose every other day; third week, that dose every third day, then stop. You should be doing this with the knowledge of your physician, I can only tell you the standard approach.
The standard practice among doctors is to start the child out on a low dose and then increase based on parent feedback. The recommended starting dose is 18mgs and the max is 54 mgs (http://www.rxlist.com/concerta-drug.htm). Note: if your child was already on a stimulant drug, then the dosage does change based on that experience. If the doctor started him out on the low dose and slowly moved him up, then this may be ok.
I started taking a low dose of lithium, 450mg every other day, to supplement Wellbutrin which didn't seem to be working well. After one month I had a blood test and my lithium level is <0.1 mmol/L (standard range, 0.6 - 1.2 mmol/L. I am now wondering how low it was before I started taking it, and if that is causing my major depression disorder.
I am on 4 Meds for hypertension. One is a betablocker for my tachycardia. I have autonomic dysfunction which causes syncope. My question is this- if u get the stomach virus for example and can't take or keep this down what are the consequences? I noticed my rx handout says do not miss a dose must taper down which I understand but if u are ill what choice do u have? I asked my.pharmacist what would happen and her response was u better hope it doesn't.
