Common Questions and Answers about Epzicom medication for free

Avatar f tn Be sure they run Free T3 and Free T4, not Total T3 and T4. If they resist, just insist and don't take no for an answer. I would even go so far as to get the lab people to confirm it is going to be for Free T3 and Free T4. Otherwise they often revert to the usual, which doesn't include the Frees. Also, since hypo patients are frequently too low in the ranges for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin, I also suggest testing those as well.
Avatar n tn re relying on the product reviews, and you might not be, almost all of them are done now by people paid to do them by giving them free stuff to review. That means they may not actually have any need for the product. I also don't know what "drug" is advertised on Amazon, so you might be talking about some "natural" product (remember, Amazon will sell anything, without consideration of the genuineness of the product).
1671473 tn?1450592437 So, you should try to get the doctor to add a source of T3 to your meds and then increase as necessary to relieve hypo symptoms. You should also make sure the doctor always tests you for Free T3 and Free T4 each time you go in for tests.
Avatar n tn 10 range (.40-4.5), T4 free 1.4 (.8-1.8) T3 free 340 (230-420).
Avatar f tn you need your free t3 and free t4 because you could need t3 added to your medication instead of more t4 if you t3 in too low in the normal range and the free t4 will show if you are getting enough t4.......so post your lab test for free t4 free t3 and tsh with ranges......
Avatar m tn When you do go back for tests, I suggest that you should request tests for Free T3 and free T4, along with the TSH. Free T3 is the most important because it largely regulates metabolism and many other body functions. Scientific studies have also shown that Free T3 correlated best with hypo symptoms, while Free T4 and TSH did not correlate at all. Since hypothyroid patients are frequently deficient in other areas as well, I also suggest tests for Vitamin D, B12 and ferritin.
Avatar f tn If the child's mother is his primary guardian, unless you have reason to believe the child is being harmed and are prepared for a legal battle to challenge her custody, then I am afraid that the conclusion is-- there is nothing you can do. If you have expressed your opnion to her, and she chooses not to use it, you can either legally force her to use it -- or keep quiet. There is really nothing else you can do.
758493 tn?1271611163 But as my son became worse, I felt I had to give it a try, but for his sake as well as the rest of my family. Things are much better for him now and medication helps alot. It is very noticable now if he doesn't have the meds. Before he had no control over any of his actions. Now he can see right and wrong. He has had a great success in a year's time with medication. Let me know if you are going to try the Concentra.
Avatar n tn Your doctor should be monitoring your FREE T3, FREE T4 and TSH levels very closely during pregnancy since meds requirements often change during pregnancy. Why do you not want to take your meds?
Avatar f tn Prenatal vitamins should have folic acid already in them. The folic acid is very important to prevent birth defects, more specifically neural tube defects like anencephaly or spina bifida. If you are taking a regular multivitamin such as "one a day women's" or other daily multivitamins not intended for pregnancy, you would need to take folate separately because they don't typically contain it.
Avatar m tn Im always cold but have been for years. I just dont want to take medication or start medication if theres no need for it.
Avatar f tn If you o want to wean off this medication you have to stick to whatever your dose is for that day and go down a notch on the days you are supposed to...whether its a good or bad day. Keep in mind you are fixing to be without this medication completely so on the days you feel like you need another one just realize you will have to deal with whatever pain you have without this med full time...your dosage should not vary if you are weaning off.
1776579 tn?1314370278 I can relate. I was symptom free for six years until a UTI stirred up my MS again. A round of steroids and going back on my rebif seems to have once again calmed things down, thankfully. Does this mean we are cured? No, just fortunate :) be thankful. Stay on your meds, and live each day to it's fullest.
Avatar m tn In Aus our unit of measurement for Free T3 is pmol/l This gent is in Guatemala, where they use ng/dl I am not good at the math, but believe he is in range if it were converted.
Avatar m tn Many of our members report that symptom relief for them required that Free T3 was adjusted into the upper part of its range and Free T4 adjusted to around the midpoint of its range. A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting FT3 and FT4 as necessary to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels. Symptom relief should be all important, not just test results.
Avatar n tn t discussed your trouble sleeping with your doctor already, I highly recommend you do so. S/he may want to try giving you a medication (either for the short term or the long term) to help with that, or s/he may want to refer you to a sleep specialist to get a sleep study to see if there is some specific problem that may be causing your sleep disruption. Sleep disorders are found with some regularity in people with dysautonomia.
544862 tn?1244671254 So fluctuating the doses will help you from being that way. I think you should have a t3 free and t4 free ran as well, to see what else might be oing on.
Avatar f tn Look into a tyramine free diet because for people that have headaches a lot of things can trigger them that we eat. Just got to wikipedia.com and search for tyramine Diet and it will tell you what things are good and bad for you. Make sure you eat 3 meals a day and I have noticed that a nap in the middle of the day helps sometimes. After 2 years of trying to be headache free I was told by a doctor that I might not ever be...but I am not willing to accept that! lol.
Avatar f tn Ive been prescribed somas and vicoden for 2 years just recently found out in pregnant but i can go without something to relax me i was on effexor and xanax as well i dont kno what to ask my dr thats safer i have bad anxiety and panic attacks as well as bad back pain due to car accident .
Avatar n tn DEMAND that you get tested for BOTH Free T4 and Free T3.
Avatar f tn I have been on synthroid for 32 years. At first I was on 0,150mg for 18 years and did not have problems with weight or fatigue. In 1996, my doctor said that the tests were more refined and I was taking too much synthroid. It was lowered to 0,112mg. I started gaining weight immediately, losing hair and could not focus at all. It was raised to 0.125mg and has remained at that dose even though my tsh is a little suppressed.
Avatar f tn Hi - suggest your Mom call her doctor to let him or her know that she is having such bad headches and elevated blood pressure. In addition to calling her doctor she might want to speak with her pharmacist - they usually offer free consultations for their customers and they could go over all of your Mom's medications with her, looking for possible problems that might cause headaches and elevated BP.
Avatar f tn Those side effects you mention are not from the Eltroxin, but typically from an inadequate dosage, which leaves the patient hypothyroid due to low levels of Free T4 and Free T3. If her TSH remains high while on the Eltroxin, that is another sign of being under medicated. You cannot know for sure about the need for the med without adequate testing.
Avatar f tn Which levels lowered? TSH, Free T4 or Free T3? If you have your lab results, post them with ranges so we can take a look. :) Taking estrogen can cause you to need more thyroid medicine...so be on the look out for possible change in levels.
