Its toxicity depends on the route of administration, duration, exposure and dosage. The route of administration is the most important determinant of toxicity. I hope this helps.
m also allergic to several medications (antibiotics) and my doctor said I might need an epipen when I take them to keep me alive until I get to a hospital. Just about all antibiotics close my throat. But I thought epipens contained epiphenephrine, and was told by a friend that it's bad for those with a heart arrhythmia. Has anyone here with PVCs had to use an epipen for an anaphlactic shock reaction, and if so, was it safe for the heart? Thanks.
This weekend was horrible, I had two reaction to the water, on friday it was with rain, and had to give me 2 shoots of Epipen, and than I was better but shaking badly from the Epipen, and yesturday just by sweat I did a reaction and again the Epipen but just once, and I didnt even went to the hospital after, his that dangerous if I dont go???? And his it dangerous I have to many shoots?????
m told my heart is okay despite the many PVCs each day, and I have a hard time believing it too.) I also wondered whether use of the epipen could cause permanent changes in the kind of PVCs a person has, and now I feel better about that too.
I have a friend who says she uses Benadryl for her allergies to ants and bees rather than an epipen because of the cost. I don't think I'd feel safe doing that, though.

I had an MRI w/ contrast done to differentiate a mass found on my pineal gland 9/11/15. During the administration of the contrast dye, I suffered from an anaphylactic response within 60 seconds. Today, 10/19/15, I was suffering a headache and took Excedrin Extra Strength and suffered a mild/moderate allergic reaction (within minutes). I've taken Excedrin many times prior to this.

Epipen delivers a measured dose of epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) using autoinjector technology, most frequently for the treatment of acute allergic reactions to avoid or treat the onset of anaphylactic shock. In certain cases it can be used to stop local bleeding.
Alternatively, the same drug can be given by the local health care provider or you need to go to emergency department.
Would this route of administration work similar to faster acting benzodiazepines such as Xanax or Ativan, or does it depend solely on having a steady amount of Klonopin in your bloodstream already?
I'm confused; why would a doctor prescribe Klonopin for anxiety attacks (i.e., take it as needed)?
Try to tell my story in short. November 2 I had a bowl of clam chowder (eaten many times in my life) and a half hour later I was in anaphylactic shock. I was rushed to emergency, given benedryl and sent home 4 hours later. I got an Epipen for I was told, although rare, that I could have a secondary reaction within the next week. Sure enough November 5 I had a second reaction (bi-phasic reaction). I was given the epipen by my mother for I passed out and couldn't give it myself.

The symptoms are appearance of brownish lesions on skin, welt or hive formation when lesions are rubbed or scratched, blister formation over lesion when it is rubbed and facial flushing.
Antihistamines may relieve some of the histamine-induced symptoms such as itching and flushing.
You may need an Epipen if it becomes more severe but in the meantime see a physician and buy some Benadryl.
There is no benefit to taking this sublingually that I know of. Generally the reason you take anything that way is to get it into your system as quickly as possible or because saliva is beneficial to absorption. With 5-HTP, it takes some time for your system to react to it assuming your body finds it necessary to have more coming in -- if it doesn't, it just evacuates it. The same thing is true when you take medication targeted at serotonin, though they work quit differently.
Rebif is less likely to cause you an allergic reaction from my extensive research (only found minimal instances of it), but, you never know. I had a reaction one time to something other than rebif, and docs said for months "unlikely" - until I ended up in the Er.
Also, you can call your MSlifelines nurse - those nurses are very good and will ask all the right questions.

Not sure how it works, but a drug company will conduct multiple trials of the same phase before progressing to the next stage?
Those generics are usually cheaper but they must contain the same active ingredient(s), the same dosage form, at the same dose or concentration, and for the same route of administration. The generics are usually cheaper and can use different inactive ingredients and preservatives which can sometimes cause trouble.
Looks like you are getting the generic for from the Israel generic of Effexor. It must be the cheaper generic of Effexor around and maybe it is responsible for your problems.
probably not medication related. give her lots of attention and positive upbeat games. 'train' her out of this winney habit and encourage her to be a dog again.
if it continues, feel her all over and make sure she does not have any areas of pain that would need attention.
