Avatar m tn t decide if I should go with Aetna High deductable plan 3000 or something like a Plan 100 2500 deductable from United HealthOne as long as I can get a HSA with either. It seems like UHO has a dental plan that is better at twice the price but I not sure if I will be ahead. What are something other things I should try to calculate in this? Am I doing this the right way or anyone have some suggestions. Please. Thanks!
1027870 tn?1252056250 yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.
Avatar m tn I am planning on getting them removed soon due to recurrent infections and I was wondering if it is more cost effective to get a dental insurance plan or pay out of pocket. What are the typical cost to remove something like this? Will there be surgery required? How much will a good insurance plan cover or is it more cost effective to just pay out of pocket? Thank you.
Avatar n tn You can get a dental plan with several plan options nationwide for about a hundred dollars annually and save thousands. Not too many people know about this but I have been using it for years and in comparison actually like it better than insurance. There are many different plans but you should go to a nationwide comparison site to find out what is best for you. The one I found with the best deals and options is www.dentalplansaver.com. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
Avatar f tn Hey Sarah I too am a college student looking for health insurance, I was curios to know what you chose and what worked for you. Also did you add dental to your health insurance, I cant find many quotes with both to know how much together they would cost.
Avatar n tn I did some quick research on Assurant dental. It is NOT Insurance. It is a "savings plan". Any plan that advertises things like "no deductibles" no claim forms" no maximums" is NOT insurance. There are no deductibles, maximums, or claim forms because the "insurance" DOES NOT PAY ANYTHING TOWARDS YOUR CARE. It is basically a referral service whereby you are give a list of dentists who agree to accept very low fees on SOME (but in no way all) services.
1532707 tn?1312155924 I wanted to sign up for their dental plan since i need it and can afford it again. I assumed it was being taken care of since i filled out the form and turned it in the same day. I have been patiently awaiting the cards in the mail but nothing!.... I ask my boss today what happened and she says she turned the paper work in1 day late and missed the deadline. Now i have to wait a whole 'nother year to get insurance? this is ridiculous What can I do?
Avatar f tn I think I found an answer to my question on the COBRA web site: "Pre-existing conditionsSome health insurance companies cut their costs by invoking something called a "pre-existing condition" clause. The notion of a pre-existing condition makes sense when you're talking about car insurance: your windshield was cracked before you bought your coverage, so you can't expect the insurance company to replace it once your policy is in force.
Avatar n tn I have Diabetes and severe case of gingivites is there more assistance out there available other then just the measly $1000 coverage from the dental plan. Arn't they related ?
Avatar f tn Hey yall. I have been suffering with tooth-aches for about 5 years now. I do not have dental insurance, so I just go to the dentist as I can afford to. I'm pretty sure that I need the rest of my teeth pulled and need some dentures. My question is, : Does anybody know of a Dental collage anywhere in Florida Or Alabama that does work for free or low cost ?
620877 tn?1282764097 I work for a small company and I do not have those benefits, medical, dental, etc. I am fortunate that my husbands medical insurance is so comprehensive. I spoke to an insurance broker about my situation: not diagnosed, but being investigated and that my neuro is highly suspicious that I have MS.
Avatar n tn I know once u turn 21 u wont get dental u can still qualify for medical just not for dental thatswt they told me, but currently i get all benefits since im pregnant after pregnancy i go back to regular medical,
Avatar n tn Two years ago while under a different dental plan my wife's 3 tooth bridge came off. The bridge was about 10 years old and included one front tooth. The dentist she went to told us that one of the teeth that supported the bridge had decayed into the root and had to come out. As a result the a new bridge of 4 teeth was needed. I had fairly good insurance, but a $7.00 an hour job and no savings. Our share was going to be $1000.00, and the dentist would accept payments of $100.
Avatar n tn He sees the dentist regularly, and the dentist has mentioned options, but due to the fact that my son has so much growing to do, anything that can be done will be temporary and have to be redone frequently. I have dental insurance, however, it does not cover congenitally missing permanent teeth. Is there anything I can do that will not require me to mortgage the house that will help my son's appearance until he is old enough to receive permanent implants?
Avatar f tn Do any of you have pet insurance. I've looked at a couple but they seem like a rip off. A lot of stuff is excluded from coverage and after the deductible and what they don't cover, it seems like what little they do pay is not as much as the premiums.
Avatar f tn Iehp will cover certain visits. if your your over 21 it will not cover cleanings and fillings. It will cover emergency dentist visits and tooth extractions.
Avatar f tn It depends on the plan you pick but most do. I have Community Health Choice and it covers all of that.
Avatar n tn If you consulted with your doctor, and they recommended crowns, I would go with crowns. Depending on your case, of course, there may be a bite issues or crowding issue that may prevent use of veneers. Also, if you are expecting dental insurance to pay anything towards it, you would need to have crowns placed & not veneers. Insurance considers veneers cosmetic & crowns restorative. Normally, ceramic crowns are all ceramic & do not have any metal included.
1196205 tn?1265141071 Hi I'm Patricia Anderson. I have no money and no insurance. I have been having issues with my teeth for the past about 9 years. I have an over crowded mouth and my eye teeth on top and bottom are completely out of place and there is no room for them. When ever I would get even a little bump to the mouth it would cut my lip. They have been pushed so far out of place. It hurts even when Im at work because When I talk my teeth rub my lips and all I do is talk for hours at a time.
485259 tn?1519047026 The bad part of all of this now is While I have a treatment date for 5 hours of dental work ( getting most of it done in one session) I no longer have dental insurance and even at a Dental school/clinic the total cost is just about 15,000.00. SO I began with great fear of getting more dental work done as you were, I then had some hope the treatment could happen in a TN friendly enviorment, but now I am once again feeling hopless because of the Cost.
Avatar m tn Hello and thank you for reading this, I have a friend who is currently living abroad and facing hefty dental work and several questions. She just had a left upper first molar extracted earlier this week due to it being damaged from both decay and cracking beyond repair. From the x-rays taken she will also need an impacted wisdom tooth extracted from the lower left side and potentially need both the upper wisdom teeth extracted as well.
763297 tn?1281379425 The man from the insurance company said that there is no individual plan that would cover fertily. It can get very expensive.
