1188179 tn?1350116119 I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.
883607 tn?1241847511 You can try Webmd for generic names but most drs and many pharmacists have a 2 tier system, name brands and generic drugs and dispense them accordingly. Not all name brand drugs have generic equivalents so they don't use the generic names. Most pharmacists also are so busy that they only have time to verify the meds in the bottle against what is in it and read the possible side effects if needed by a patron.
Avatar f tn On celexa, tried oxybutinin and myrbetriq. Gave me anxiety. Is enablex a good choice? Side effect of celexa was frequent urination. Eneblex only one that didn't cause anxiety, but side effects are bad. Anybody?
Avatar f tn I'm in the same boat as the above person, there was no generic when I was on it. But generally, some believe that quality control is much better with brand names than with generics, and others experience better results with brand names. I'd try the generic and see if it works for you -- insurance companies are really punishing you now if you use brand names so it makes sense to give the generic a try.
Avatar f tn Some doctors, especially endos, it seems are convinced that the brand names are superior to the generic. Generics can be nmade by any number of manufacturers, and there is no guarantee that the same manufacturer is making your tablets from one refill to the next. The reason cited for preferring brand names is usually "consistency". Supposedly, the actual levothyroxine content varies more in the generic.

Avatar f tn I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.
Avatar f tn GENERIC NAME: oxycodone. BRAND NAMES: Oxycontin In case someone was unaware of the names.
Avatar n tn The uroligist put me on Enablex which has been working, and I am due to go back in two weeks......yesterday, I started feeling almost swelled up at the opening of the bladder.....I am embaressed to ask, is it possible that my bladder is dropping....it just doesn't feel right, and I don't know if I should just wait for the appointment at the uroligist, or call the gynecoligist?
Avatar n tn In the United States, brand names include Synthroid, Levoxyl, Levothroid, Eltroxin, Tirosint and Unithroid; Generic forms are Levothyroxine sodium USP and L-thyroxine. There is still debate over whether generic thyroid supplements are as effective as thyroid brand name supplements.
Avatar n tn What is the generic name, chemical name, classification and contraindications for Lyvoxil?
Avatar n tn When the patent expires, others companies are allowed to produce the drug under thier own BRAND name, but the GENERIC name will always remain the same. This explains why drugs may have multiple names, but they are all the same.
1134609 tn?1269272200 I have never had any luck when I have been placed on the generic brands of medications. Celexa especially; I was on it for 10 years, tried the generic several times and paid for it. 3. I have also been on Neurontin for the past 10 years. In a past post, I wondered if they decrease in dosage is what was causing me so many problems. However, I am back on the brand name of the medication and there's a HUGE difference between the two.
Avatar f tn Girls names just seem so much easier, whereas all boy names sound either too generic or too strange lol..
177275 tn?1511755244 In a prime example of government bumbling they have made it difficult to get generic drugs through the approval process also while allowing pharmaceutical companies to unfairly and monopolistically raise the price of generics and brand names through the ceiling. Generic drugs that are not difficult to make and require no research that used to cost $4 at Walmart not cost $85.
Avatar f tn So I'm having a second little girl, and I'm torn between two names. I really like the names Anyka and Ellidy (pronounced like Melody without the M). I'm leaning more towards Ellidy these days but would just like some opinions. Also, it'd be nice to hear some middle name suggestions for either. I'm thinking Leigh or Marie but those both seem so generic. Thoughts???
Avatar f tn I still find classic names beautiful because many people these days have chosen to be more creative with modern names and itd be sad to see some beautiful classic names disappearing. But some modern ones do sound nice. :) what kind of names have u come up w so far?
Avatar m tn I am from India and i use generic versions of entecavir 0.5 and tenofovir 300 marketed by Zydus Cadilla in the names of Entehep 0.5 and Tenohep 300.My question is that are these generics equally potent as their branded counterparts i.e. Baraclude and Viread.?I heard that the colour of Viread is blue whereas the generic version Tenohep which i use is white....are they same or something is different?Due to monetary constraints most of us can't afford to go for the branded versions.....
Avatar n tn There are many very good generic antidepressants. Call your doctor immediately, explain why you had to stop and ask for one to be prescribed for you. He knows you're not to stop this medication cold turkey, and doctors have become very understanding with today's economy that a lot of us cannot afford the brand names. I take a generic and it's works great! A month's worth will cost between $8 and $10. Take care.
Avatar f tn I have found that any of the brand names and the generic can make arrythmias worse. I have been on generic, Synthroid and Levoxyl at one time or another, and they all cause increased episodes of tachycardia. In my case, I think it's the actual medicine in the pills that causes the tachy, not the fillers. I'm also on a beta blocker to control the tachy. My guess is that it's your increase that has caused the PVCs, not the generic versus Synthroid.
907968 tn?1292622204 Some people have problems with the fillers or binders the different brands and generic contain. This is true between brand names as well as between brand and generic. Have you been feeling well? If so, it might not be worth it to rock the boat with any changes.
Avatar n tn My husband has decided on the name Bria out of the 25 names i gave him on a list. Our last name is Phillips and I can't find anything that I like that flows. Phillips is pretty generic but has such a strong L sound that I'm trying to find something that doesn't have the "elle" that sounds right. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
