I'm very worried about the fact that I used an unapproved DIY test kit a couple of months back.. I tested again at 11 weeks after i took that test with a proper test in a lab and the result was negative too but I'm concerned that this home test kit may have been dangerous. Would it be possible to contract any kind of blood to blood illness from a test kit like this? It looked fairly clean but I have no idea where it came from really (apart from China) and that's what concerns me.

So, you should feel confident in the Home Access test... again, any other HIV test that is not Home Access is not FDA approved or home use...

Does Home access kit use Elisa? I will ask doctor to do West blot.

t be reliable at all nor would any other test. 3 months dude is when you need to take your test and get a conclusive test result. If you want to do a Home Access test. Then do it at three months send it in and your results will be conclusive.

I asked them to do Elisa test for my self and fortunately this kind of test was available and I Just got the result on my hand which is Negative :) Now I'm glad to get such result on this reliable test but now do your advise me to do another conformity test for my self not to be 99% sure but I want to be 100% sure so which type and after how many weeks please?

Heard about it.. 2month after Results are Test Value: 0.022 ; Cut off Value: 0.300 ; Test Result: Negative My few Questions: 1) What result I need to consider as a final result. 2) Why this ACON test kit showed me a very very faint line. 3) Do u have any info regardin this ACON test kit are they approved by FDA etc.

There are no FDA approved home blood tests. There is one FDA approved home collection kit.

hi i recently ordered a hiv test kit over the internet from a company called Labpro it came to the uk via malysia, it was a elisa test kit and gave a negative result, how confident should i be of this result?

1) Total 2 sex Exposure all where Protected with Sexworker and Unprotected Oral (Singapore) recent one is 13 week before and earlier was 6 month before. (Single time varginal and less than 2 min Oral I Was reciving **) 2) Tested with HIV ELISA Sandwich was negative after 2 month of last exposure exactly. was NON REACTIVE and for all STD (NON Reactive) 3) Tested with ACON Rapid test after 3-months; showed "very very faint" line at T area.

i ordered at home test throught Atfirst Diagnostics. it came with 2 test. it was the HIV-3L test kit. i tested negative on march 3 and negative on april 17. am i in the clear?

Just did the test for me so quick and he gave me the kit when the C line showed dark red, and he told me it is negative I put the kit in pocket and then I took the test kit to my car, the kit was wet because of the blood and to dry it I put it under the sun in the care ( it is very sunny in my country) after 1 hour I looked at the kit again and it did show a faint line in the T .

Hi, I had my test today after 5 month exposure, I did rapid test and honestly I shaked the kit so many times and kept in my pocket, and after the 1st hour of the test their was a faint line in the test area ( as I took the test kit home), I used the same blood sample to do 2nd test with Elisa, why I had this experience of change the reading after 1 hour, do I need to do another test and when please.

This may not be the best place to ask this t I wondered if anyone knew this one. When a lab is testing your blood for HIV. Do they use the same Elisa assay kit (tray) to test multiple people at the same time? Or is it 1 kit to 1 person?
