line at T area. hardly visible. (Home Test). facts is that ACON Rapid test kit is not approved in USA. Heard about it..
2month after Results are Test Value: 0.022 ; Cut off Value: 0.300 ; Test Result: Negative
My few Questions:
1) What result I need to consider as a final result.
2) Why this ACON test kit showed me a very very faint line.
3) Do u have any info regardin this ACON test kit are they approved by FDA etc.
Just did the test for me so quick and he gave me the kit when the C line showed dark red, and he told me it is negative I put the kit in pocket and then I took the test kit to my car, the kit was wet because of the blood and to dry it I put it under the sun in the care ( it is very sunny in my country) after 1 hour I looked at the kit again and it did show a faint line in the T .
Here is my story 6 months back(in sep 2010) i had sex with a prostitute but unfortunately my condom got ruptured and i got tested 3 months post exposure and now 6 months post exposure and test results are negative(test was performed using 3rd generation elisa kit) and all my symptoms are muscle pains.still i feel these muscle pains especially at the lowe part of my body (both thighs and calf's).

Another Help please with the rapid testing kit
Today I went again to do another HIV test just to make sure I'm 100% clear after my 5 months exposure, as you remember 1 week ago I red the kit wrongly after 3 hours of the test ( it showed a faint line in the T area), but today I did another test it did come as follow:
The C line was: strong colure
The T line was: No colure at all but their was a small colure dot Instead of Strong/faint colure line !!!
I'm very worried about the fact that I used an unapproved DIY test kit a couple of months back.. I tested again at 11 weeks after i took that test with a proper test in a lab and the result was negative too but I'm concerned that this home test kit may have been dangerous. Would it be possible to contract any kind of blood to blood illness from a test kit like this? It looked fairly clean but I have no idea where it came from really (apart from China) and that's what concerns me.
A friend of mine took a random HIV test, the ELISA blood test at a diagnostic lab and the result came out positive. Completely aghast, my friend took a retest at the same lab and went to two other hospitals to get tested. One of the two hospitals conducted the ELISA on two separate kits, both these kits reported negative results.The other hospital too reported a negative result.

Acon rapid hiv test at 6 weeks 8 weeks and 10 weeks. At 11 weeks I did a second generation ELiSA hiv test those that only look for IGg and not IGm they also tested using determine rapid test on the same day. All my tests are negative. I am now waiting for my 83 days to take another elisa and determine. How reliable are these results and how high was my exposure during that encounter.
