Avatar n tn Then 2 days ago she seems to have the blotchy red rash on her feet. I have taken her to the doctor and they said it is not hand foot and mouth. They think it's eczema. However, the entire family seems to have this sore hand symptom with some bumps but not the redness or blotchy areas.
Avatar n tn Updating you on my dyshidrotic eczema on my hands and bottom of my feet. I was using the steroid cream my dr gave me and following your advice about washing my hands and using a good lotion. Nothing was working and I felt like actually getting worse. I had some Zyrtec and started taking one a day for a week and it's basically working!! Very few itchy areas pop up once a day or less! Thanks for the advice!!
Avatar n tn If I touch the area at this time it seems to speed up the the itching intensity. I have tried Hydrocortizone cream to no avail. Putting it on sometimes brings the itching on because I've rubbed the area. Any suggestions?
Avatar m tn Hi, ever since my wife was a little girl the skin on her palms the soles of her feet do not exfoliate correctly. They build up really rough and thick. She sometimes peels the thick skin off in pieces and the skin is smooth underneath. Certain times they get really red as well. Have you ever heard of this disorder? I would like to find out more if possible. All the doctors we've been to have not been able to diagnose. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Just went to the doctor, I have been dealing with excessive sweating on my feet for about 2 years now. It even sweats when I don't have any socks or shoes on. I now have chronic blisters that will not go away on one toe and swelling. Went to see a doctor and I told her I tried using Tenactin and Lamisel but it made things worst. She gave me over the counter. Zeasorb and 1% hydrocortizone. Well put zeasorb on and got the same reaction as if I just sprayed Tenactin.
Avatar m tn By Tuesday evening I noticed that I had formed itchy blisters along the inside of both feet, more on the right than the left. There were also some small ones forming on the toes. All are very itchy. I looked around on the internet, finding things such as dyshidrotic eczema, but also read that blisters like these could be symptomatic of syphilis. I saw my primary physician on Wednesday and explained the situation and my concern given the timing.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a rash that appears mostly in the summer months. It appears on my knees and ankles mostly but can also be seen on legs and feet. It's raised red spots which appear to have white around them. It has come back every year for about 6 years. I live in Ireland so the climate can get warm but not very warm and not very often. When i get to the doctor it has disappeared. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Avatar m tn The only reason it was able to be diagnosed is because for the first time ever I got small bumps/blisters on my right hand, previously it had only ever been on my feet and is apparently way more common on hands than feet and presents in a specific way. Dyshidrosis can be quite mild from a few blisters (usually in warmer weather) to hands and feet being completely covered. I was prescribed a steroid cream n no longer have any issues. See below copied from a site.
Avatar n tn I have had eczema on one foot for almost 20 years now. I am 38. Sometimes it does not flare up for a week or two, but it always comes back. I have been to several dermatologists, tried various prescriptions, over the counter meds and a series of cortisone shots (they helped for about 18 months, but the side effects were intolerable). It seems to be worse in the summer. The itching keeps me up many nights. I only wear flip flops, year round. I can not wear socks or closed shoes.
Avatar m tn I have severe thickening and cracking of skin on hands and now on my feet. This started in July of '09. I have worked construction my whole life and is really becoming a major problem. I have seen 6 dermatologists and NONE can explain what is wrong with me. Everything that has been prescribed does not work. One Dr. said that this is frictional dermatitis and prescribed Urea in 50 % emulsion with 6 % salicilic acid and does nothing. Another Dr.
Avatar f tn He may not realize he might have eczema. This is a lifelong condition and the only real practical way to deal with eczema is through diet. Look up things like "foods not to eat with eczema" and "diet for eczema". The general consensus is that gluten and dairy should be avoided. I wish conventional doctors would tell their patients this, because not eating gluten and dairy is the only long term solution that helps me. Make sure you do the research, though.
Avatar m tn Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons. Apply some calamine lotion on the affected area and keep the area well moisturized.
Avatar m tn s characterized by extreme itching on the hands, feet and legs. If she scratches on it, they get very swollen around the itching area. Naturally, this has quite a negative effect on sleeping and appetite. I know she eats a lot of milk, cheese, coffee, and tomatoes but rarely fruit and other vegetables. Meat's also been reduced recently, since three quarters of the family turned vegetarians.
Avatar f tn I have these small bubbles on my feet, mostly on the sides but I also get them on the bottom of my feet, and even on my toes or in between them. Now I have done some search and I see a lot of things, I did get athlete's foot before, for I was involved in a lot of sports and used to always wear closed shoes. Now is been about 5 yrs since I got that but for some reason starting about a yr and a half ago I discovered these little bubbles on my feet.
1060719 tn?1254505235 After 14 weeks, the eggs hatch. This occurs mostly on the feet, insides of fingers, and elbows (rarely). There is only ONE CURE for this little reatrds. lol. These can not go away without treatment. I can recommned "RID" It's a lice killing shampoo with the one thing that can kill them. Premetherin. Rub it on your dry hands, and leave it on 15-20minutes. Do this 1-2 times a day. You will get the bumps every now and again, even if they clear up. But no biggy.
Avatar n tn I came across this quite by accident. Not a cure but giving me relief as I've had this condition on hands n feet for years. Had been putting Vicks on kids heels when they had coughs and discovered itch dying in hands. After 3 days there is just a redness under the flaky skin and remaining blisters are not itchy. I'm hoping they go away without the scratching and puss n infection this time! Hope that's of help to u fellow sufferers!
Avatar f tn I've had a red rash on the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet that do not hurt or itch but it's chronic. It starts out with a bunch of very small red dots and over a week they start to peel off. Once they peel off, that area of my skin goes back to normal, but then this rash pops up some where else on my hands and feet.
Avatar n tn I read that skin conditions can easily pass from between the feet and the hands and I recently had a fungal infection on my feet which was caused from walking around in wet shoes all day at work, and then them being still wet to go to school. Both of my doctors presumed it was a contact dermitius with my computer keyboard, but since then I always wear cotton gloves and the condition hasn't gotten better. Thank you very much for your help. Andrew.
Avatar n tn This is in response to the many people out there with the same thing, I have suffered at the hand of these blisters for 16 years, and have outbreaks from 1 or 2 on my fingers to many hundreds on the souls of my feet to the point my entire soft soul of my feet where covered in them, at the time I put the bad outbreak down to being homeless and put it down to not changing my socks as often as I did, I have had very small outbreaks of 1 and 2 here and there but when I separated from a partner in
Avatar n tn I have little bumps on my hands and feet that itch so bad..at times like when I touch them, they have a tingling feeling and I was wondering was it herpes cause I also have something that looks like cold sores that are starting to form on my lips..so what is it?
Avatar f tn It started as a patch on my left foot, and spread. Now I have it on both feet. My Dr prescribed clobatesol propionate cream. It helps relieve the itch, but it's not a cure.
Avatar f tn Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!
Avatar n tn t touch it down there until you can see a doctor. The otc wart remover is meant only for warts on your hands and feet, etc, not on the genitals because the skin is more delicate. For itching you could try taking some benadryl or using an ice pack (outside your pants). You could also try an anti inflammatory like ibuprofen which will help with pain. It would be a good idea to let the area air out as much as possible too, esp at night.
