Avatar m tn I have a history of eczema and I am wondering if that may be the cause. My eczema has usually been mild, small spots about a 1/4 in size that show up anywhere (hands, arms, chest, legs, face) but they are easily treated with a steroidal cream. Please help! I have been too embarrased to go to my doctor but it is greatly affecting my sleep now! Thank you for your time.
Avatar n tn The palms of my hands have areas that look like the skin is pushed up. Especially when wet, they itch and feel really irritated. Its like small white bumps of skin, in quite a bit of profusion. What is the matter?
Avatar f tn For almost ten years now the skin around my nails has been peeling off. It is large, thick chunks of skin. It is very bad on my thumbs and mostly just around the base of my fingernails on all fingers. After the skin peels off my fingers are red but it just grows back and peels again. When my hands are in water the skin turns bright white like my skin is soaking up as much water as it can. There is no pain or sores when it peels. Also, my nails are not affected by this.
899169 tn?1242617019 Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to dyshidrotic eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash). Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g.

768015 tn?1333652075 For the past few weeks I have these rash things on my skins and I have it on my arm. It looks like eczema and itches like crazy. If I itch to much it bleeds. Is this normal? What will make it go away. Not only is it annoying but it looks awful.

Avatar f tn Could it be eczema or something else? I have never had eczema, so this would seem weird to me if it is and to just have it in one isolated spot. Should I see my doctor? Thank you!
Avatar n tn For 6 yrs now i have been experiencing blisters appearing on my hands they eventually pop leaving my hands very raw. It itches extemely bad, burns, and hurts. My hands swell so bad that I cannot bend my hands but only half way. I have been to numerous drs., specialists, and etc. and no one has a clue on this situation. Hands get so sore that it is very hard to take a shower, wash my hands as well as to do my daily routine.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately from looking at the pictures around Eczema, it does not really look like the bumps that I have on my finger. There is typically no redness around the bumps. About a year ago, I was diagnosed through an anonymous testing service with HSV-1. From doing a lot of research and seeing pictures, I'm scared that the bumps are from the possibility of having herpes whitlow.
Avatar n tn I have a case of itchy hands. I can't help but itch, and I get to the point when I keep itching, that I start forming little white bloches, and bumps all in between and around my fingetrs, palms, wrists, and anywhere else on my hands~!! I've tried to convince my mom to take me to the clinic, but she thinks it's a bad case of dry skin.
Avatar n tn im 14 and have eczema around my lips on my hands and in the bends of my legs and arms. my lips are different from my other areas though.
Avatar n tn This may be a case of xerotic eczema or dishydrotic eczema. Dishydrotic eczema usually starts as small vesicles which contain fluid .These vesicles are covered by a tough membrane. This may be itchy. The itchiness may initiate an itch scratch cycle which may lead to excoriations and involve even normal skin. Eczema is a chronic and inflammatory process. It appears to involve the autoimmune system .Other causes may be environment and stress.
Avatar f tn He may not realize he might have eczema. This is a lifelong condition and the only real practical way to deal with eczema is through diet. Look up things like "foods not to eat with eczema" and "diet for eczema". The general consensus is that gluten and dairy should be avoided. I wish conventional doctors would tell their patients this, because not eating gluten and dairy is the only long term solution that helps me. Make sure you do the research, though.
Avatar m tn Every season it seems my skin on my hands peels. I get red dots all over the palms of my hands, not really on my feet. There's been a few times where it made it tight to move my hands/fingers. They felt like pins almost. I have bumps on my scalp, they come and go, and when they appear, they usually stay for anywhere from a day to a month, or so. Sometimes they itch, but the itch subsides after a few seconds, like a normal itch. I have fatigue all the time, recently it's been worse.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if they still make Crack Cream. The eczema that I have always had on my hands is now raging. I like Gold Bond lotion Extra Strength for itching on the body. I would not put it near my eyes. It has Eucalyptus or something of the sort in it. I think moisturizing is the best therapy for itching except in the case of my eczema. I'll stick to the prescription for that.
Avatar n tn I have a small itchy bumps on the palms of my hands, and fewer on the tops of my hands. They are very red in the morning and itch very badly in the middle of the night and in the morning. Then during the day the redness fades and they become less itchy. There seem to be more and more bumps everyday. I also had the same kind of rash on my stomach, but that has disappeared, though my stomach still itches.
Avatar m tn My wife suffers from eczema and is particularly affecting her palms of hands to the point that her skin is cracking. It is extremely itchy and she has sought medical attention with a dermatologist but the medication prescribed is ineffective. Anyone have this type of condition? Any alternatives?
Avatar n tn Lately I have been getting dry skin, especially around my eyes. It's become inflammed and red underneath my eyebrows, and around to the outsides of my eyes. Whenever I put moisturizer on it, all it does is burn. I've tried multiple moisturizers, and nothing is working. I recently bought new acne medication, do you think I could be allergic to it? Or is it just because I need to drink more water or something like that?
Avatar f tn Pompholyx is a common type of eczema affecting the hands. It is also known as dyshidrotic eczema or vesicular eczema of the hands. Initially it presents as tiny blisters (vesicles) deep in the skin of the palms, fingers. The blisters are often intensely itchy or have a burning feeling. In severe cases, big blisters and cracks develop which can prevent work. In the later stages more peeling, cracking, or crusting can be seen. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again.
Avatar n tn Thank you so much for your help. We are sort of wondering if it is hives. She has been eating alot of chocolate lately due to the holiday candy. We put it all away about 3days ago and have been giving her antihistamine. To me it looks as though it is getting better. The doctors did give me an eczema lotion for her hands. I haven't let her use any soaps out in the public restrooms or the paper towels. I have been just rinsing her hands with water and not letting her touch anything.
Avatar f tn I have eczema on the skin around my mouth and even on my lips. Nothing seems to work. I recently noticed that after eating anything with tomatoes, even ketchup, causes my eczema around my mouth to get worse than it already is. So I have eliminated it from my diet for almost a year now. I have even started using organic toothpaste without fluoride and sodium lauryl sulfate.
Avatar n tn At the time I had eczema rashes on my hands and one small cut from eczema that didnt seem open (certailnly not bleeding) .
