Suppose a person is diagnosed with schizo. after seeing a doctor for only a week and is prescribed anti psychotic drugs. The doctor does not know anything about the patient's history or events leading to hospitalization( such as lack of sleep and food for three days straight). If the diagnoses was wrong and the person doesn't need to be on these types of drugs, what kind of affect would it have on a person's brain and ability to function?

I can relate to you love. I'm 16 24weeks pregnant & my parents are both recovering addicts. I live with my mom & little sister & my mom is always sleeping around with men & I found out she is on drugs again. Honestly I've learned not to care. That's your mother & your always gonna love her (trust me I've tried not to) but you have a family of your own to worry about. Don't let her addiction take over your life.

U need to stop doing drugs . I have family members on meth atm .. Amd i have a nephew who is suffering from it . My brother just got locked up last week for it . Amd now his life amd his sons is going down hill . U need to take care of ur child amd stop being selfish Excuses are not valid .. amd if u do feel bad take the steps to let ur dr know amd stop smoking meth . It won't stop until u stop . I've seen it . And I'm sorry but it's true .

If anyone has the time to read my post and they themselves have experience or knowledge of drugs, the effects and symptoms etc could them please give me some advice. From your experience, do you think I could be right? I think if this was the case them maybe we as a family could tackle it head on and at least try to get my brother the help he actually needs and not just put it down to alcohol or depression (medication). Sorry for the long post.

There is not enough conclusive research that has been done on the after effects of drugs. You should see your doctor, explain your situation and get tested. Best of luck.

I was on medication in and out as I develop side effects to the statin drugs. I was on Lipitor, then on Pravachol and lastly on Crestor. None of them had problems loweting the Choesterol levels, but muscle and joint pain even with Vit D and Co Q10 as prescribed my physician. However, I came off crestor yesterday as I started feeling Dizzy. I am normally a "healthy", active energetic person. Now my doc thinks we should try Zetia which is in a different family of drugs.

Vicodin and Lortab are the same thing, just different brand names for hydrocodone. There is no reason to get both of them at the same time. Those meds must be from more than one doctor. If the doctor knew they would not prescribe the same narcotic by a different name. All of those meds are depressants and should not be mixed due to the risk of respiratory failure. If this person is already tolerant to the opiods then there is less of this side effect happening.

This is why we need to be informed consumers and always be asking about our drugs and side effects - emotional blunting is both a side effect of some drugs and a symptomatic behaviour of bipolar.

Has anybody had to take antibiotics while on triple therapy and are there any counter indications or are the side effects worse?

It is hoped the side effects will be less severe.

Also I have always beeni prescribed Methadone I have never purchased drugs off of the street. My family knows that I am on the Medication and some what about my previous attempts.

m on week 23 of 72 and over Christmas I tried to stay in my room so as no to get upset around my family. My brother thinks I blame my irritability and anxiety on the meds too much so he can be a creep to me and not feel guilty about it. In this case a google search for haloperidol and zyprexa can give you information on both drugs and how they work and their side effects so when your brother sees his doctor he can ask the right questions.

Says it can cause heart rythm irregularities and a host of other bad effects and then I got my Best Pills Worst Pill book out and that has a big warning box on it. Class 1 drugs should be reserved for patients with life threatening rhythm of the ventricles. I have atrial tach. I also read the mayo clinic pges on this drug and it looks worse and worse especially for elderly patients.

I was diagnosed with RA in 2001. I seem to have side effects with all the treatments my RA doctor has provided. I am allergic to methotrexate. I have problems with prednisone as well. I stopped taking all RA drugs two years ago but try to get by with over the counter meds. I recently discovered Norco 10/325 and it really helps although it is a narcotic. My question is this. If its meth, that can cause lots of health problems for your daughter. It depends on how high the levels are in her system. Better not sit on this one and find out what is going on.

s serious about getting back together, he needs to prove it first. Meaning.... No drugs, drinking, helping out the family the best way he can. I would need to see the changes, long term (not just one or two months)... Make sure they are permanent. I can't imagine how hard it might be... But *know* that you and your son are worth it. i have face book and i happen to see my 18 year old niece on the lesbian site with this much older woman taking drugs and say how they like doing sex i told my sister who is her grandmother because the drug thing concern me and now most of the family on that side are not talking to me like i am the bad person...
