When a drug patent runs out, a (usually much) less-expensive
generic drug comes onto the market, which is chemically and medically
equivalent to the brand-name drug. If he's saying what I think he's saying, I'd like to know what the difference here could possibly be. How could the the equivalent be different?...and if its different, how could it be equivalent?
If not, what does the other answer mean?
