Avatar n tn None of this explains what happened to me. They were asking about all of his medicine and he was on the digitek and had to take some of his medicine back up to the pharmacy with like 10 pills left. I am very lost in what happened with him and would just like some closure on why he detriated so quickly. If you can be of any assistance I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks, sweetredt!!
Avatar f tn Hi, i have a son 17 years old now, he had coarctation of the aorta at age 7. On his checkup July 1st, the Dr. told me his left ventricle is bigger at 6.4cm. from 5.1cm three years ago. The doctors do not see a clear explanation for why the ventricle is more dilated. He doesn't show the symptoms of dizziness, headaches, chest paint, or nosebleeds which they say are the signs. He was prescribed 2 medicines Lanoxin(.25mg.daily and Enalapril. (10mg.
Avatar f tn Why were you started on the toprol and digitek What was your heart rate? How have they explained the symptoms of cramps and abnormal bowel movements. Im not sure what the relationship is between the valve and requiring control of your heart rate provided you are not in atrial fibrillation or suffering from frequent PVC's Its all very dependent upon your heart rate. what exactly is it? What does your doctor say about your need.
Avatar n tn After my heart attack 6 years ago, I was on digitek for a few months only. The known side effects of digitek: "Apathy, blurred vision, breast development in males, change in heartbeat, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, lower stomach pain, nausea, psychosis, rash, vomiting, weakness, yellow vision" I was concerned with the prescription when there was a recall. As it turned out it was the generic "digitek" for digoxin.
Avatar n tn Having no shortness of breath does not rule out an unfavorable episode for heart cell damage as often damage can occur without any symptoms. I had a silent heart attack 4 years ago...no symptoms until the heart failed to pump out sufficient blood causing blood coming from the lungs to back up resulting in pulmonary edema and a trip to ER.
Avatar n tn , Symptom onset is usually rapid, often occurring within minutes after self-poisoning or a change in medication. Serotonin syndrome encompasses a wide range of clinical findings. Mild symptoms may only consist of tachycardia, shivering, diaphoresis (sweating), mydriasis (dilated pupils), myoclonus (intermittent tremor or twitching), as well as overresponsive reflexes.
Avatar n tn I did have a chest infection about one-month before my last heart episode. Did you also hear about the Digitek recall and that problem? I stopped taking it the week my breathing problem stopped?
558156 tn?1217727396 Overdose symptoms are depressed respitory system, you basically stop breathing, dizzy spells to the point where you feel as though you are passing out, blurry vision. OD dosages are certainly unique to each individual and based on tolerance levels. But I dont think 15mg of ocycodone are going to throw you into an od status.
Avatar m tn Can someone give me either the symptoms or the timeline for an Ibuprofen overdose? And what's going to happen if I don't get treatment? I've taken approx. 40 200mg ibuprofen tablets, 32 hours ago.

Avatar n tn What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?
Avatar n tn nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, sweating, confusion, weakness. There are more, but easy to find if you search the web. Just taking an amount over the prescribed dose is NOT the definition of an overdose.
Avatar m tn Overdose Of Paracetamol often shows NO SYMPTOMS within the first 24 hours after the overdose. In some cases although there may be mild nausea and vomiting. If the overdose is large then liver function may start deteriorating leading to either of these; jaundice, confusion, and loss of consciousness. Death due to overdose of Paracetamol is rare but when it occurs it is in majority of cases due to liver failure.
Avatar f tn I am not suicidal. I am being prescribed Lithium daily. I like to know as much as I can about my meds. I know the lethal dose of lithium is about 5gs or 5000mgs which is about 5 times what I am prescribed. I also have looked up the symptoms of lithium toxicity (not fun). But I can't seem to fine anywhere how long after a lethal amount or a small overdose (such as 1 accidental extra dose) on top of toxicity symptoms would start to show or when death would take place.
10878355 tn?1425579171 I am 19 years old and last week on Friday I was rushed to the Emergency Room for symptoms I was experiencing from an overdose on espresso. When I arrived I was told I was experiencing "tachycardia". My heart rate was beating over 100. I was at bed-rest and given a pill. However I am still experiencing tachycardia symptoms (not currently at hospital). I was also told that I was underweight and that caffeine overdose will impact me harder than others.
Avatar n tn Good Lord, what was that doctor thinking with that huge boost? That is NOT how thyroid med adjustment is done. That said, I don't think it would cause a spinal lesion. That's coincidental. But it would definitely cause those hyperthyroid symptoms you were experiencing. I'd think that any sensory symptoms from thyroid imbalance would resolve with restoration of appropriate levels.
Avatar n tn It certainly sounds like hyper symptoms to me, but you should be monitored closely and tested with any dosage change. Call your doc and describe your symptoms and ask why you haven't been tested to check the effectiveness of your new dosage change. You should have been tested at 6 weeks!
Avatar f tn Acetaminophen intoxication is more dangerous in individuals with pre-existing liver problems (Hepatitis, Liver transplant recipients, etc) and chronic alcohol abusers, whom already have liver damage. Signs and symptoms of Acetaminophen poisoning usually onset within 24 hours of taking the dose and include nausea, vomiting, abdominal tenderness.
Avatar m tn Digestive Difficulty Stomach pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea are all symptoms of a possible acetaminophen overdose. 20816780 tn?1521081698 My pain management doctor prescribe me fentanyl patches in October of last year I had it accidental overdose when I went to him at my next appointment he says he would no longer be my Dr is there any way I can get help from another pain management doctor I have chronic pain I've suffered with this for years I need help
Avatar f tn nausea, vomiting, sweating, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and irritability. Not all patients display early symptoms of overdose. During this phase if a patient seeks treatment they will be given charcoal that will bind to the acetaminophen in the stomach. Then doctors will pump the stomach, aiming to remove all of the acetaminophen. Likewise they might give the patient N-acetylcysteine, or NAC, which is an antidote for acetaminophen overdose and can be taken orally.
Avatar n tn t have diabetes, it can cause an unsafe drop in your blood sugar. This drop can cause the symptoms that you describe, and if left untreated, could also lead to coma and death. One way to help raise your blood sugar level again is to eat or drink something that has sugar in it, such as a candy bar, orange juice, even a banana would help to a certain extent. I would also suggest that you keep the number for Poison Control handy (800-222-1222).
Avatar f tn balance and coordination problems, unsteady gait, spine and head movement (an easy rocking and a strange feeling from top to bottom of spine). From what I feel i think the all problem is about spine .... May be this a form of ataxia? Is here someone who has passed through this? Sorry for my english.....Thanks!
