diflucan tinea

I was wondering if you've had any improvement with your condition. I think I may have the same thing you do/did.. but I noticed mine after I got home from delivering my baby. I asked my dr about it and she said that it might be fungal/yeast also.. but I had taken diflucan for a week, normally it's just a one day dose, for something related to breastfeeding.. and I didn't notice any change. Were you able to get rid of your spots.. if so.. what did you do?

My boyfriend has chronic Tinea Versicolor. Since I have been seeing him, I have been dealing with chronic bv and yeast infections, one constantly following the other. Last night it occurred to me that I may be getting this from him! Is this possible? He pretty much has given up on trying to treat it, and let's it just go out of control over the course of his body. I know this is not supposed to be contagious, but if spread to this degree, might this cause an exception?

Hello Dr. Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I developed intense itchiness on the left side of my groin. The first time it appeared was four months ago. It went away for a while then came back early this month. The intense itchiness in the groin continued and now it's on both sides of my groin. Initially it started as a raised wrinkled bump. It is the same color as the skin around it. There are no blisters or open sores. The area becomes inflamed and thick when scratched.

I’m a 20 year old female, and I have been dealing with tinea versicolor for going on 7 months. I’ve tried the shampoos and my doctor has prescribed me multiple rounds of fluconazole (spaced out between rounds) the rash went away after awhile, but I was not using the shampoo (I was using a natural soap on Amazon for tinea versicolor). Sadly, the rash came back after a month or so. I never stopped using that exact same soap, and I would shower normally 2-3 times a day (because I work out).

I have tried dandruff shampoo and have taken a dose of oral diflucan (for an unrelated condition) since I first noticed the problem, and neither have helped. The spot is about the size of an egg (maybe a little larger--right on the crown of my head), and it feels just like a sunburn. I went to an urgent care center and the physician there did not diagnose the rash but gave me prescriptions for doxycline and prednisone. The doctor also told me that when he looked at my back he also saw Tinea Versicolor. He said it was no cause for alarm and was common. So he also prescribed me a tablet of Diflucan. I have finished my medications, and the rash has mostly subsided, but I still see some minor breakouts in isolated areas.

He gave me two tablets to be taken 1 every seven days of FLUCONAZOLE (DIFLUCAN) 150 MG for yeast and also gave me NYSTATIN-TRIAMCINOLONE Cream to apply twice a day for ten days. Immediately by anus area got a lot better but now it is 14 days later and I am still seeing my inner thigh rash and feeling a irritating and burning sensation when I walk. The slight redness with a small rash it looks like and the irritation feels a lot worse than it actually looks.

Could someone on here who has successfully dealed with this provide some insight please? I have a feeling I should be taking DIFLUCAN which clearly states that it is able to slow the growth of YEAST in organs... the interal area where I TRULY feel my skin condition is manifesting. Meaning... I don't just have fungus on my skin... I have a yeast infection INSIDE of my body that manifests on the skin. FML.

I have had tinea for at least 5 weeks. Tried Athlete's Foot cream / medicine (capsules I cannot remember name of - but 1 per day for 14 days), using Diprosone ointment for +2 weeks, Selenium Sulphide shampoo for 2 weeks (covered affected areas, allowed to dry for 1 hr and then showered off before putting on the Diprosone ointment). It is still there - mainly two areas on my chest on which I am now using Betadine. Is this time span normal.

Rockoff, I went to a dermatologist with 2 problems that I have - one with wrinkled, sticky skin on my penis and another is tinea versicolor that I have for 4-5 years already. Dr said it might be balanitis, gave me Vusion cream which I applied for a week. But things didn't improve noticeably, in fact I got irritation on the foreskin in the form of small abrasions that are sensitive to touch so Dr recommended to apply something bland like Aquaphor.

what is the best treatmento for keloid and at the moment i have tinea on my forhead and i have used a lot of ointments to treat including cotrimazole,hydrocortisone,bicatricin.nowmy dermatologistadvised me to try flucinolone.
