diflucan for children

Hi mandykitkat, Me too I was put on Diflucan and started bleeding three days after even though my period is not due for another week or so. The bleeding was light for the first week and very heavy for the last two weeks. I went to see an OBGYN and she took a simple and blood work...I have very painful and tender womb now still bleeding and awaiting the lab results. Please any advice is greatly appreciated.

I am currently being treated with Diflucan and Cipro for an existing yeast problem. I am taking Diflucan for 30 days and Cipro for 10 days. This will give me some relief for about three or four months and then I will need to treat the problem again. Questions: Should I change the Diflucan/Cipro time schedule or try different drugs? I was treated with Diflucan for my very first yeast infection ever, I took the pill last Thursday. I actually didn't even know i had one until a seen the doc for painful intercourse ( i had no smell, discharge..etc). Should I make a follow up appointment? I just feel wet all the time, its worse in the morning when I first wake up. Could this be yeast die off or normal symptoms of the drug? I just dont know because I've never had one before.

What is the usual dosage for treatment of toenail fungus with Diflucan? My doctor prescribed it to me and it just seems to be different than normal. He said to take 100 mg/daily for the first 10 days of each month until it's gone. Is that a normal regimen?

There are some very good treatments for it. One of the best is diflucan. Given your history, I would be worried that your cancer might be returning. If you were my patient, I would remove that ovarian cyst. It is quite likely to twist and cause pain. I would also encourage you to consider birth control pills to help with the heavy periods and pain. I'm not too sure what to make of the shoulder pain--it is possible that you have endometriosis.

I just got the call from my doctor in which I was told I have GBS, group b strep and bacterial vaginosis, I have been suffering for about 6 months on different meds. I have 3 children and have never had this problem and never heard of it either. Help any info is great.

ve search on the internet and i found out about the Diflucan, that according to them will get rid of the yeast infection for just one dose, so we bought it and me and my husband took it, but it's been 3 days now and i still have the white discharge, does anybody tried Diflucan before? and how long it will take effect? or does it mean that it will not work on me? i don't want to try creams because it's messy.

I've had a persistent yeast infection almost every month for nearly 3 years. I've had it tested over 5 times so I know it's candida with certainty. Diflucan sometimes helps for a short while, most of the time not at all. I'm trying it once more and thought maybe trying the miconazole suppositories a few days after the Diflucan may help. All three times I, as well as my female partner have tested negative for all STDs. The urologist said to try diflucan first to see if it is a yeast infection, then if the symptoms persisted, take medication for possible trichomoniasis infection. If that didn't work then he would have to do a visual inspection with a camera scope. I took a test for trichomoniasis (urine NAA test) and that came back negative as well.

I was on nystatin for 6 weeks and then took diflucan for a week and even did an oral nystatin for 7 days. I have just been to my regular doc and wondering if a dentist would be more helpful with this. Are there any over the counter remedies I can do too? Thanks!!

The blood work was negative for pregnancy but it was early so I still could be pregnant. She called in a prescription for the yeast infection and it is only one pill. since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!! this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.

Once I stop within a few days I feel terrible again. They prescribe diflucan for 14 days. Had it 6 x’s. Always comes back. No bacteria grows in urine. I took an std test for chlamydia and gonnorea and they both came back negative but the doctor gave diflucan thinking it might be a yeast infection. Hi...candida is yeast and it can cause all types of issues...DIFLUCAN is one of the best meds I know to help rid someone of excess yeast. There r also diet changes that can also help..... I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, and DIFLUCAN is the only thing that helps. As far as dosage, sorry I can not help...I would suggest asking a Pharmacist as they know meds and interaction and reactions better then most drs.
