It can be due to cystic acne. Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne. Cystic acne affects deeper skin tissue than the more superficial inflammation from common acne. Since they are severe, so systemic medications are usually required. The treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics, tretinoin, oral contraceptives in females and Intralesional corticosteroid injections. Very severe cases may need excision and drainage.
For mild forms, topical medications may suffice. However, for severe nodular or cystic acne, then you may need oral antibiotics for this. As for natural ways to treat acne, I can not give a run down of any natural way that may be deemed effective. Several factors affect acne including genetic factors. Stress and certain food intake also contribute.
Avoid eating spicy food and try to use a milder and hypoallergenic cream or body wash. These will be able to help.
Ive never had a problem with pimples before but now my chin keeps breaking out. The pimples i keep getting are cystic acne. They hurt really bad and nothing helps them go away. This is currently what i use on my face: Face wash with .5% salicylic acid and another facewash with 3.5% benzoyl peroxide. I MAKE SURE to take really good care of my skin but it dosent seem to work. Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide.

Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Treatment is either with oral or topical antibiotics (to kill acne-causing bacteria on the skin), topical retinoids (such as Differin or Retin-A), or anti-androgens (female patients only).
If standard treatments result in failure or relapse your GP can refer you to a dermatologist for Roaccutane (oral Isotretinoin), the most powerful acne treatment available.
What acne medication are you currently using? Retin-A will clear acne and heal the bruise-like scars you describe.

=/ i feel the same thing with you... bieleve me... i heard many good thing for snail cream espesially for acne and scars and i will try it for my scars and me... you can try it... you can also try a microdermabrasion,,, i suggest you epidermx II from internet. i went to dermatologist many times... the same and the same... i will try this 2 i said to you...
1% gel every night for 2 years.I have been getting alot of acne for the last 2 or 3 months so i went to my see my dermatologist.he said since i been taking minocycline 100 mg daily for 2 years and using the retin a micro 0.1% for 2 years and im still breaking out i should try something new like it may be wearing off....he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....
I been getting strange calls from international numbers. I am not socializing or seeing friends. Acne is ruining my life. Its cystic and nodular acne meaning, you get it, you eat well, you do everything right, and it leaves scratches or holes in my skin. I ******* hate this. This is not living. This is not fair. I have given up so much and I continue to be plagued with this.
Its close to a $1000 for fillers and they have side effects or risk more scars.
Accutane has many potential side effects but this must be balanced against the fact that it provides the best chance of long term remission from acne. However, as your son may outgrow his tendancy for acne as adolesence passes, I agree this should be considered only if his acne continues after other treatments have been fully explored.
Which antibiotic and creams has he tried? Erythromycin has a high resistance rate and oxytetracycline is usually preferable.

A few years ago I had a horrible case of acne and was put on the Doryx pill for 3 weeks, wash with Brevoxyl 2x day, morning Tazorac topical and evening Duac topical. This combination cleared up all of my acne and dark spots in a month !!! So after two months I weened myself off of the topicals. Everything was fine.
About 2 years later, I had another bad breakout. I have really oily skin, lots of white and blackheads and acne scarring (dark spots) resulted from these pimples.
I have had acne red marks, not scars, that just won't go away. I've had them for about 2 years now and have tried products such as Differin & Atralin with no avail.
Is there any other solution?

I just started getting acne just like this! I'm 22 and I started getting it over the summer with the same exact issue: the rest of my skin has normal acne or is clear and then every few weeks one of these really swollen zits appears on my chin and they cannot be popped (although I hadn't tried the needle thing). This is a new situation for me as well, so I was looking up how to handle it.
i also wash face with mild cleanser and apply moisturizer, after apply moisturizer on my nose still becomes more oily. I went to see the dermatologist and he given me the differin cream, differin also make my nose oily and did not stop the oil production,which is also not helping, i very hopeless right now. please help with my oily nose.
hELLO I WAS JUST LOOKING OVER THIS SITE. i ALSO HAD CYSTIC ACNE FOR YEARS WHERE I WOULD GO IN AND THE DERM WOULD INJECT THEM. i DID ACUTANE TWICE I HAD TO STOP PART WAY THROUGH IT THE SECOND TIME.
nOT A GOOD DRUG TO BE ON. aNY WAY MY DERM HAS ME ON SPIRONOLACTONE 100MG ONCE A DAY IN THE MORNING. iT IS A DIARETIC. wELL IT HAD WORKED NOT ALL DOCTORS USE THIS . Before this i was on all kinds of antibiotics they would work for a while and then it would stop working.
Spironolactone. Girls can take it, not boys. That is the key to cystic acne for girls. All hormonal based. I'm 49 and have had them since 17 years old. Still get them, but only once a year. Taking Solodyn 105 mg. with it, too. That's a high dose, but necessary (weigh 135lbs). Spironolactone comes in 25mg pills. One pill a day is not enough! That won't fix anything. I take 100 mg a day to maintain. 50 mg in the morning and 50mg at night.
Does anyone get small cystic pimples all over body? What causes it and is there anything I can do about it?

Do not use any alpha hydroxy acid products (those containing glycolic or lactic acid), salicylic acid products, retinoids (Retin A, Renova, Differin and Tazorac) and other topical acne medications such as benzoyl peroxide for 72 hours after the treatment. Also any scarubbing or acne soaps should be avoided for atleast 1 week after the miscrodermabrasion procedure.
