Differin exfoliate

Common Questions and Answers about Differin exfoliate

differin

Avatar f tn Extremely sensitive skin- adverse reactions to salicylic acid and anything higher than a 2% benzoyl peroxide. Have tried differin, retin-a, duac, also natural solutions such as tea tree oil, lemon, honey, coconut, eggs, yogurt, witch hazel. Also have tried systems such as proactiv and muriad to no avail. Have completely overhauled my diet- hardly any sugar, no white/ refined starches, very little dairy, no red meat, lots of veggies, lots of water. No caffine, little to no alcohol.
Avatar f tn Dear doctor! How long can I use Differin (adaferin, adapalene)?
Avatar m tn I started using Differin in May, but I now realize Differin also contains Adapalene. Should I be worried about sun exposure while using Differin/adapaline? I noticed the container says not to use it on sunburns, but nothing about not using it in the sun. I use the cream at night, but I also realize that it's a long term treatment... and as such just because I use it at night, does not mean the sensitivity is gone in the morning/day.

Avatar f tn Ok so I have been prescribed differin gel for "acne" problems. I recently had a huge one with deep cyst (when i touch it i can feel hardness under the skin)...then it formed a white head and oozed a lot of pus (and some blood) after which it stopped being painful. My question is can I still keep on applying differin gel on top of the acne even though it's "broken" skin? The differin seems to help calm the inflammation pretty quick and dry it out...
Avatar f tn Exfoliate and moisturize. Oh, and drink more water.
Avatar f tn Now, it could be a hereditary thing, as my mother and grandmother never got stretch marks. BUT one thing I did do, just in case, was exfoliate, exfoliate and exfoliate some more... Every shower I made sure I used by sponge and gently.. don't try to take off skin.. but gently exfoliate and wash your belly to keep your skin cells fresh and new.... But really, your body is going to do what it's going to do. If you get stretch marks, there's stuff out there to help lighten them.
Avatar m tn he put me on oracea 40mg once a day and differin gel 0.3%....i was reading the paper that comes with oracea~doxycycline and it says it doesnt kill bacteria now im getting worried because minocycline does kill bacteria now im worried i will break out more from the oracea.it says its for rosacea but doest oracea work to kill acne to or no?and the differin gel 0.3% isnt this not as strong drying to dry up pimples as retin a micro 0.1%?
1632818 tn?1299941302 I washed my face and slathered it with the sunscreen that is usually soothing, but it stung this time. I decided to google differin, and on their website it clearly said that differin should not be used on skin with eczma. Then I googled eczma, where it said that it is important to moisturise skin with eczma... So this contradicted the dermatologist telling me to not use my moisturiser and prescribing me differin.
Avatar m tn He gave me differin and it worked ok.While i was using the differin i was working all summer long outside and usually wore a hat.Well two years later ever since my forehead is my natural skin color which is pale. The rest of my face is very red.I have very oily skin and my skin breaksout if i put lotion or toners on it usually. Is there any advise on how to get my skin to even out and get this redness to go away. Please help.
Avatar f tn After becoming PATM free off and on throughout the five years of being on this forum I still was not able to wear fragrance I still use unscented soap and will continue I now exfoliate my skin to get the dead skin cells off - so simple - thankful to God for finally, finally - realizing and discovering this piece of the puzzle !!! Thru the years I have focused on removing toxins from inside my body by better food choices - plant based , supplements , sauna , exercise etc.

I went to see the dermatologist and he given me the differin cream, differin also make my nose oily and did not stop the oil production, which is also not helping, i very hopeless right now. please help with my oily nose.
Avatar f tn Exfoliate them if you already have them! Sounds horrible but exfoliate until your skin is red raw then apply cream or oil...coconut oil is good to put on after exfoliating.
Avatar f tn Exfoliate your skin and as bad as it sounds exfoliate until it's red raw then lather with bio oil...it won't stop them if your body is going to do it but it's always worth a try right?
Avatar n tn What brand do you think is the best to use to exfoliate your face with? I am using Dove right now to exfoliate and Witch Hazel as a toner/ and sometimes to clean my face. I also use to Dove lotion for my face. Does Dove have a lot of chemicals in it?
Avatar m tn I messed with it a little bit, and the next day it had swollen up and was warm, like an infection. Since then, I have been using Abreva and Differin on it. The Differin makes the largest difference – it reduces the size significantly. When it first showed up, it looked a lot like this picture: http://www.adamjbc.f2s.com/dlc/test/Photo-0171.jpg. It no longer has a white tip, and there are two small bumps (neither red nor painful) below it.
Avatar f tn The best topical lotion in my opinion is Differin. It can be as effective as topical Isotretinoin but is usually much better tolerated, with little or no redness and peeling. It is even more effective when used in conjunction with oral antibiotics. I have taken Accutane twice (20% of patients require a second course) with good results, please see my photos in my profile. I am happy to discuss any concerns you have about this drug. Eloise.
Avatar f tn Hi I've recently been using differin gel, but about a week ago I started breaking out bad and decided to take a week long break from the gel to heal my skin. I was wondering if taking a week long break was a good idea or not?
Avatar f tn Your skin has to become accustomed to being shaved. After shaving for a while the irritation will stop.Remember to always exfoliate before and after shaving.
Avatar f tn It appears after I exfoliate, bleeds excessively and then goes away until I exfoliate again.
Avatar n tn I got Differin from the doctor and used it for 6 months with no results. Is he to young to start to serious ritual? He is adopted and his birth mom has very serious acne. He is very worried about all these pimples. He started getting them at nine. The doctor told me they aren't really acne but I forgot what he called them so I could look them up.
Avatar m tn I began to exfoliate regularly, I had what looked to be enlarged pores on my nose, then I thought they were blackheads, then "hair" started coming out - but the hair is white, while my natural hair is dark.
Avatar f tn Using honey and sugar to make a scrub might help. I also like doing honey and avocado to make a mask.
Avatar f tn Avoid scented lotions they usually are more drying. Or you can make a home made sugar scrub to exfoliate. I have these scrub gloves that I use once or twice a week to exfoliate you can get them in any store, mine are from Target. Also try a colder shower. And take DHA vitamins they help/ good for you and baby.
