Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore.
I know it may sound strange but it works really well.
s inflamed tendons and prescribed Diclofenac soldium XR, an anti-inflammatory, twice a day. Wondering if this drug is safe for him to take given hepatitis and Cirrhosis. He has a call back into the PCP to double check before taking it, and I have a call in to his hepatologist to double check before taking it.
While waiting for calls back from PCP or hepatologist, wondering if anyone on this forum may know the answer?
I was put on antibiotics for a week on day 4 and booked in for an ultra sound. I was also given diclofenac to help with the pain. Avo upper data later the pain did not get better. I went back to the doctors and they weren't sure it was a kidney stone. Occasionally pain worsened on some days. Was prescribed codeine for when I needed it. I continued having pain and was signed off work. I only had fever on day 2. Had my ultrasound and nothing was found: no stones, no cysts or swelling.

My problem is that i am 20 years old and i applayed for being a pilot in the emirates airlines, i passed all the exams but they asked me to get rid of the kidney stones and i got like one month as a chance. thats why i am in a hurry.

The effects of cholestyramine and colestipol on the absorption of diclofenac in man.Colestipol produces a similar but smaller effect.
Though some information charts say that it should be used with caution in patients with Diabetes,it refers to underlying conditions as renal failure, hepatic impairment,IBS,stroke,clotting problems,asthma, allergies, CD/colitis,HTN,smoking,High LDL/HDL etc are present in your history.
So donot worry about anything.
Avoid potent ones like indomethacin and diclofenac since there is increased risk of kidney and heart failure. Opioids like co-codamol and hydrocodne may be required if severe pain is there and intracranial lesions are ruled out. eye and ear on the right need to be evaluated since this could be a referred pain. a brain MRI needs to be done to rule out any intracranial lesions or aneurysm. I had also told the doctor about my fatigue and weight gain (as well as carpal tunnel and other symptoms) and the doctor sent me for a thyroid blood test. The thyroid came back as slightly under active.
I have had a kidney stone and infection in the past. For the last two weeks I have had rt side back/flank tenderness and intermittent pain below ribs and in groin area. I went to the physician's assistant since my MD was out of town and she just told me to drink more water. I have been hydrating. I have waves of fatigue and nausea (not severe) and have been lethargic this entire time. I am concerned that I am not passing what I am consuming.
Supartz and other forms of viscosupplementation are not anti inflammatory medications and if your articular cartilage is destroyed or you have Rheumatoid arthritis they may not work. Diclofenac is purely a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug and it will relieve the pain till it is acting in your body. Always take it after your food and avoid taking the medication on empty stomach.

I have been searching internet about the drug interaction with Truvada, I found few studies talking about Kidney Failure risk of taking truvada with diclofenac, I am not sure if the studies are confident or not.

Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
t feel your kidney only the obstruction to and from your kidney. My doctor told me if i have back pain with the stent in that it might be other factors (ie pinched nerve, slipped disk) which i find hard to believe because it is the exact swollen, numb and bruised type feeling that helped me realize my kidney problems in the first place. Help?

I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

Hi, I have been diagnosed with several unobstructive kidney stones on my left side. I have no fever...I went to the er and a ct scan showed a 3 cm cyst on my left ovary in addition to revealing the stones (right kidney). I am bloated and aching, and my back and entire abdomen hurts. It's been over a week and half...I am on an antibiotic as well as percocet as it is the only drug that takes the edge off. My question is, how much longer will it take for the stones to pass?
