Avatar f tn liver function ok, not anaemic, calcium ok, red blood count ok, no inflammation, white blood cells ok. Kidney function in the normal range but at the bottom end of the range. Doctor said it was low for my age (25). She said to leave it 2 weeks to test kidney function again and see if it changes. They were looking for a rise in creatinine. Just had blood test. Getting results tomorrow. Pain started on day 1 on right side flank area. It had radiated around my side down to my groin area.
Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
Avatar n tn Yesterday, when my regular MD returned, I saw her and she ordered blood tests (presumably for Kidney function), urinalysis (to assess infection) and a CT scan. I find out the results on Thursday. Regarding you recommendation of antibiotic therapy, I am assuming I wait for the urinalysis results.... Also I am not familiar with the use of anti inflammatory drugs. Could you elaborate??? Thank you.

Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with kidney stones (3.6mm and 5.4mm) and it's been 5 days I take medicine (rowatinex, omnic, diclofenac, omeprazole, no-spa). I masturbated twice since and I didn't produce any semen while I felt like i had orgasm. After I peed, I still didn't notice any semen in my pee.

Avatar f tn For 7 weeks I have been experiencing pain. It first started off on my right side back - kidney area. (original diagnosis kidney stones). I was prescribed Dicofenac (3 a day) and antibiotics (for 1 week). Urine tests had found blood traces in my urine. I was booked in for an ultrasound to see if there were any stones. Ultrasound on kidneys and bladder came back OK.
Avatar n tn You can progress very rapidly to NO kidney function and be on dialysis and having to wait for a kidney transplant. And we all know how that one goes--there is a shortage of transplantable kidneys and they go to the people who have been on the list the longest. So get to a kidney doctor now!
Avatar n tn my husband has just had kidney stones removed - is it normal to have extreme pain when passing urine?
Avatar n tn ve seen after plenty of renal scans, that the kidney will not regain more function (right now its at 25%) but because the stent is in now it is draining properly. 4 days after my most recent procedure however, i started to feel the same swollen flank pain i had that triggered all this in the first place. My confusion is that the stent is currently in while my back is hurting. My question is can an unblocked yet severely enlarged kidney cause back pain?
Avatar f tn When Dad is in heart failure he needs additional dosages of diaretics. Too much diaretic can effect kidney function and too little will effect heart function. We did see a kidney specialist concerning this, and the primary care physician is in communication with him. Dad also has vascular dementia. I know how hard dealing with memory loss can be for both patient and family. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

653169 tn?1303446369 Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?
Avatar f tn Generally deficiencies of any of the above can cause muscle twitching and spasms in localized or generalized areas of the body. Get your kidney function, parathyroid gland function and adrenal function tests done because these affect the electrolyte balance in the body. Stress, alcohol, caffeine and fatigue all cause similar symptoms. Certain sleep disorders and peripheral nerve disorders due to diabetes or hypothyroidism can also be the cause. Discuss this with your doctor.
880900 tn?1467270141 Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar f tn I am sorry to hear about your father. If he is retaining fluid then apart from heart function, kidney and liver function should be assessed. His blood sodium and albumin level too should be assessed. The prognosis worsens in presence of any other underlying problem like diabetes and presence of kidney dysfunction. If the EF decreases further with time, it indicates a bad prognosis. If this value improves with time, it indicates a good prognosis.
