diclofenac kidney

Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage,but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.

I have had pain for 4 weeks now. Originally diagnosed as kidney stones. I was put on antibiotics for a week on day 4 and booked in for an ultra sound. I was also given diclofenac to help with the pain. Avo upper data later the pain did not get better. I went back to the doctors and they weren't sure it was a kidney stone. Occasionally pain worsened on some days. Was prescribed codeine for when I needed it. I continued having pain and was signed off work. I only had fever on day 2.

Can you kindly advise if I can still take the above medicines ?

Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?

I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

With 4 larger ones, 2 in each kidney. I also have nephrocalcinosis. The left kidney has the larger stones and a cyst but only hurts occasionally, if I am passing a stone and sometimes if feels like the larger one gets stuck somewhere. The right kidney however I live with chronic pain, which we have connected to a chronic infection and a narrowing that makes them more painful when the little ones pass! you need to see your neurologist who would prescribe stronger analgesics. Avoid potent ones like indomethacin and diclofenac since there is increased risk of kidney and heart failure. Opioids like co-codamol and hydrocodne may be required if severe pain is there and intracranial lesions are ruled out. eye and ear on the right need to be evaluated since this could be a referred pain. a brain MRI needs to be done to rule out any intracranial lesions or aneurysm. Abstain from intercourse for a few days, take plenty of fluids and take some OTC analgesics like ibuprofen or diclofenac. Also take pyridium for 2-3 days(it stains the urine orange) and sit in warm non soapy water. Also consult a doctor for antibiotics prescription if the symptoms persist.
