Avatar f tn Along with other problems, I was just recently diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes....Can anyone tell me what I should do to lower this problem? I don't understand why this happened to me.....I'm not overweight and don't have a history of diabetes in my family. I'm pretty devistated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently switched jobs and applied for health coverage, but... being that I have Diabetes I am on a year long waiting period. I am trying all over to find some type of health plan. I am in the progress of getting an answer from BCBS of Arizona to have health coverage excluding Diabetes and thyroid disease.

He also has diabetes type II At this time, he has no financial resources to proceed with even getting on a list for a transplant. He suffers from stomach pain, severe itching and muscle cramps. Can you tell me what his prognosis will be without the transplant. He also has Hepatitis C.

Your body will automatically give your baby what it needs first leaving you with low insulin levels.. I didn't have to take any medication. I was told if have a 9-10lb baby.. had her at 39 weeks she was 5lbs. She looked so tiny..

Check with your local health department or department of social services. I have heard schools; give parents hard times when the child did not have a 504 till just before it was time for the PSATS. The school would not make accommodations for PSATS, when the kid never had one and now the family fighting for the accommodations http://www.health.state.ny.

I asked him if he was exercising to better his health and control his weight. He told me "I believe that God has given me a set number of steps that I will walk on this earth. No more, no less. Why should I waste those predetermined number of steps walking on a treadmill".

In my mind, I think that calcium scoring is a very important motivational tool for someone who would change their life style of diet, exercise and nutrition if they had a compelling reason. Information you had shared in your post indicated that you had been in overall "good shape" plus thoroughly examined and had gone through multiple diagnostic tests to exclude differential diagnoses such as Diabetes melitus, STDs, etc. That is why we mentioned "healthy, physically active male" phrase.

Health insurance is a business and they do not have to give you anything. Sorry about the cold hard facts - but that's the way it is. I do not agree with guatmommy about lying about your symptoms. What if by squeezing you in, they postpone a patient that has serious issues? Wouldn't you feel terrible? I would. I don't get it.
Avatar f tn I am planning on taking a positive approach to this. I know I can beat this. It may be hard at times but I am very persistent and with the help of my husband we will get through this no matter how difficult it may be at times. I will also be trying to lose some weight prior to treatment. I was very active excercised at least 3-6 hours a week previously. Presently the fatigue has taken over and the excercise has gone by the wayside.

I have health insurance now but it costs alot of money plus my medication costs me $500 a month. Wow right. I have to pay 50% co-pay. She is nice and concerned about how much I'm taking but if my back us no better but worse with join spurs how could she reduce meds!!! If they have just checked the obvious causes there are several more tests you should request. Also do you know anymore about the form of myopathy you have? I have had my thyroid checked numerous times and twice for hashimotos and all levels are normal. My finger and feet swell up, my face is puffy, my hair is thinning and breaking off, my skin is flaky and dry. I also have body pain. I have gone to several doctors and they just give up after tests come back normal, I am sooo frustrated!!!!
