I take naturemade prenatals plus DHA. I like these because instead of having 2 pills to take its just 1 the vitamin has the DHA already in it.
My doctor is big on dha. I take preferaOB ONE they have pre/post-natal Nutritional Supplement+DHA they're pretty good but its prescribed without insure they cost $123.00 :/. They also sell milk with DHA its pretty good but expensive.
I take Jamieson brand multivitamin + dha supplement, plus folic acid. I've never had a problem with them in regards to making me sick, the pharmacist suggested to take them after dinner and before bed and it works for me!
Prenatal are not at all the same. Some are sourced from synthetic ingredients and contain GMO'S and pesticides. What you want is a whole food sourced organic prenatal vitamin. Typically rainbow light prenatal are good for those who want an easy 1 a day whole food based vitamin. It will provide you and your developing baby with the essential nitrients. Personally I use garden of life prenatals. You need to take a DHA supplement as well for your babies brain and nervous system development.

You really need to be taking one with DHA. I can't remember the brand I take off the top of my head, but I tried to follow the Mayo Clinic's guidelines: http://www.mayoclinic.
I take for my current pregnancy MorDHA Prenatal supplement which is highly purified. My youngest son was given DHA free formula once breastfeeding stopped and then supplemented with Babies Only DHA from egg phospholipids because I refused to give him vegetable sources of DHA.
Without insurance they are only $10. I forget what they are called, but they have a DHA supplement, iron, and ginger with other natural things for morning sickness.
Any are fine you just want to make sure they for sure have folic acid. I take a target generic brand one and works fine. I havr a 2 yr old and took them the entire time with him too.
i don't remember my research on this fully, but i do recall that plant derived ALA's are not biologically equivalent to marine derived DHA. i take fish oil supplementation for DHA. the only concern there is impurities like mercury present in the fish oil - there are brands that make DHA capsules that have been purified for this purpose. some brands will even go as far to source their oils from the purest fish and highest standards, so that purification isn't even necessary.
If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side?

DHA is a kind of Omega 3 fatty acid (which is usually DHA+EPA)
Omega 3 s are considered really beneficial for our brain and general health..and considered really good for fertility..
they're found in fatty fish or you can take them as supplements..
I take the Similac /w DHA. They used to sell them at Walmart now I can only find them at Walgreens. They are about $12.00 after you take the coupon out of the box, lol.
Hello and thanks for this service! Is it more beneficial to take an "omega 3 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement" or an "omega 3, 6 &9 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement"? I'm a bit confused as to which would be of the optimum benefit to purchase. Thanks for your time and expertise!
ve been diligent with taking my vitamins since. Has anyone else been Vitamin D deficient and had to take a supplement? If so, did baby come out healthy? Thx.
walmart carries Vitafusion Gummy Prenatals. I took thenm with my first son and take them now with the second.
I am on a presciption prenatal, presciption folic acid supplement, was told to take 4 1000mg pills of fish oil daily. Fish oil is high in EPA and DHA... both aid in brain and neurological development. But, if you do take fish oil... is MUST be Norwegian salmon oil and have a statement on the label that says it has been regularly tested using AOAC protocols.
Not all fish oil is good...
