Avatar f tn -) very gentle on tummy bc they are liquid gels and my pb was very happy and impressed with my choice on those she said they are a great brand :-)
668044 tn?1225913014 I take One A Day Prenatal with DHA/EPA. The box (for $13) comes with one bottle of 30 prenatals and a bottle of 30 DHA/EPA pills. I have been taking them together through my pregnancy. My OB recommended them if the ones she prescribed didn't work out (they gave me a stomach ache so I went with One A Day). I have heard nothing but good things! I recommend them!
Avatar f tn I am taking a liquid prenatal that has folic acid, dha and iron with other vitamins. I have a bad gag reflex so I can't do the horse pills.
Avatar f tn I love my nature made liquid gels with dha and omega-3. Very easy to swallow and no nausea problems very important fir me as solid vitamins make me puke regardless if I've eaten. When I start breastfeeding I may switch to similac liquid gels these particular ones require two pills a day the vitamin abd a mineral supplement. Not sure though need to do more research on these brute I decide also will cost about 20$ more per 90 days.
Avatar f tn i don't remember my research on this fully, but i do recall that plant derived ALA's are not biologically equivalent to marine derived DHA. i take fish oil supplementation for DHA. the only concern there is impurities like mercury present in the fish oil - there are brands that make DHA capsules that have been purified for this purpose. some brands will even go as far to source their oils from the purest fish and highest standards, so that purification isn't even necessary.
Avatar f tn I love nature made liquid gels with added dha and omega 3. They run about 20$ for a 3 month supply. I buy at meijer when they do The buy one get one free deal. Very easy on the stomach if you vomit easy from vitamins like me.
1756970 tn?1314376733 so i did thorough research and also working with my nutritionalist and she mentioned to me if i start taking a daily supplement of fish oil combined with efa and DHA of a dose of 3000 mg and increase the dosage of EFA eventually that it will help with the control of your moods and help the chemical imbalancement of the nerotransmitters. it supposingly will help with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and several other physical conditions. i was fascinated with what i learned.
Avatar m tn Obviously talk to you doctor first to rule out the other medical causes but 750mg of DHA in a liquid supplement has made my skin (and allergies among other things) much better.
Avatar f tn If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side? These have me confused!
907968 tn?1292622204 I've been told to take 2000mg x2/day fish oil. I bought a bottle of 1200mg pills. Don't know if this makes a difference or not, this is "Nature Made" liquid softgels and they are HUGE!! Wish I seen this before I bought them... Anybody know of any of these fish oil pills that are not as big? Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn My doctor is big on dha. I take preferaOB ONE they have pre/post-natal Nutritional Supplement+DHA they're pretty good but its prescribed without insure they cost $123.00 :/. They also sell milk with DHA its pretty good but expensive.
10533493 tn?1411088519 To be honest. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and have not taken any prenatal vitamins. Im not suggesting it but as long as your eating a 100% balanced and vitamin rich diet its not totally necessary. The baby gets what he;she needs and your left with the leftovers basically. I did take folic acid the first 16 weeks and recently my iron was low so I'm on a supplement for that has well.
Avatar f tn Hello and thanks for this service! Is it more beneficial to take an "omega 3 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement" or an "omega 3, 6 &9 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement"? I'm a bit confused as to which would be of the optimum benefit to purchase. Thanks for your time and expertise!
Avatar n tn What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.
Avatar f tn I have found "Carlson" fish oil liquid to be the best and the most free of all the contaminants. "Carlson" is a great company, and you can count on them to have a good product. I have been taking the liquid fish oil for a few years now, and it has kept my high sensitivity CRP at an extremely good level, very low, and I know it is so good for other things as well. It may be a little spendy, but, it is sure worth it.
611184 tn?1222039645 The participants were asked to take fish oil supplements containing the omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (decosahexaenoic acid). The surveys findings include: 60% of patients noted an overall improvement in their pain and said their overall pain had improved. 60% of patients specifically reported less joint pain. 80% of patients stated that they were satisfied with their improvement.
Avatar f tn ve been diligent with taking my vitamins since. Has anyone else been Vitamin D deficient and had to take a supplement? If so, did baby come out healthy? Thx.
628735 tn?1273875777 I read in an ADHD magazine today that new studies say that a supplement that is higher in Eph than Dha seems to show more results. Has anyone else read about this?
Avatar f tn I found this one liquid super dha that is a pretty clean oil with more of an after taste of orange oil just wondering if there's different types that taste better the one I get is 42$ for a bottle that lasts a mth.
518994 tn?1212242047 Another problem - - most fish oil supplement manufacturers do NOT reveal the concentrations of EPA and DHA in their products, and these are the omega-3's we actually need to know for appropriate dosing. We work with a company called Nordic Naturals, and I use their pet-specific liquid omega-3 product. We refer to dosing guidelines that have come from oncology, and we dose to the DHA at 30 mg/kg/day. ********************************* Here is that reference: nordicnaturals.
Avatar f tn I have a very weak stomach when it comes to vitamins so the ones ive found work best for me and are affordable and rated amoung the top 10 pre natals are the nature made liquid gel pre natals with dha and omega-3. I absolutely love them.
349463 tn?1333571576 I was using One - a day prenatal with DHA. but the liquid gel made me to throw up( fish oil). I was taking that for 1-2 months. with no luck. TTC so I am thinking to switch with nature made prenatal. any suggection??
Avatar f tn So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
Avatar m tn You're not too late. I take the gummie vitamins because all the others make me sick.
Avatar f tn I don't think you've done any harm. If your concerned you could start taking them now or add a dha supplement to your current prenatal. I take Neevo dha it's a prescription prenatal and it's very easy on your tummy.
