dha supplement gnc

So i just got a bottle of DHA 600 from gnc tonight. It also is combined with 250 mg of EPA(omega 3). Is that too much? How much do u ladies take???

I also take a DHA supplement.

I take One A Day Prenatal with DHA/EPA. The box (for $13) comes with one bottle of 30 prenatals and a bottle of 30 DHA/EPA pills. I have been taking them together through my pregnancy. My OB recommended them if the ones she prescribed didn't work out (they gave me a stomach ache so I went with One A Day). I have heard nothing but good things! I recommend them!

In the beginning I used the GNC brand and had no problems and last month my Dr. prescribed me Prenate DHA with a stool softner (which I really didn't need) but figured taking 1 vit over the 3 I was taking with the GNC brand is better. So I've been on the new vit for about a month and this week I was so constipated (sorry if TMI). I didn't have that problem the first 3 weeks I was on it and it has the stool softner! Do you think it could be the vits?

I visited my local GNC store to purchase some Omega 3 Fish Oil supplement. I bought the triple strength, and then asked while paying for it what was the normal dosage? He and another employee said "1,000mg per day." When I arrived home their "triple strength" is only 900 mg??? I have bought others that have always been 1,000mg and that is what I have been taking. Can someone please help me with what is the proper dosage? Thanks.

i use naturemade with dha. these were my favorite and dha is important for brain development.

I use the ones from GNC for $20 a month. They have a lot of extra stuff, to include an extra pill for calcium and another one for DHA. I've done all the research and DHA is really good for the baby. I didn't use the ones the doctor prescribed me at first because the iron was too high and I was already sick enough. He told me to take Flinstones. Once I got off the Flinstones, I went with the GNC ones. I told him about it and he actually recommended I stayed with them.

i don't remember my research on this fully, but i do recall that plant derived ALA's are not biologically equivalent to marine derived DHA. i take fish oil supplementation for DHA. the only concern there is impurities like mercury present in the fish oil - there are brands that make DHA capsules that have been purified for this purpose. some brands will even go as far to source their oils from the purest fish and highest standards, so that purification isn't even necessary.

anyone know if DHA helps with fertility (i started an omega 3 supplement the month we got our BFP that has DHA in it) not sure if it was coiencidence or if it can really help?

It depends on the brand gnc has a really good prenatal with dha to promote brain development. You take 3 pills a day and its really gentle on your system. I take those plus an iron supplement from gnc with or with out food and haven't had any tummy issues.

If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side? These have me confused!

My doctor is big on dha. I take preferaOB ONE they have pre/post-natal Nutritional Supplement+DHA they're pretty good but its prescribed without insure they cost $123.00 :/. They also sell milk with DHA its pretty good but expensive.

I've been taking some gummy prenatal vitamins. I've been getting tired of the taste of them so I wanted to switch. I went into GNC and bought the women's prenatals with dha. They were 19.99 for 90 pills which I though was a great price for three months but I did some research and you have to take THREE pills a day.... anyone else bought these ?

Is there much difference between over the counter prenatals and prescription ones? I got a prescription from my primary Dr when I found out I was pregnant but they don't contain dha. The prenatals sold at Costco have dha. Should I take those instead?

Just start taking both of them now. Actually, taking DNA supplements in your 3rd trimester is proven to help increase brain/eye development, so I would add that in addition to your prenatal too.

So my dr gave me 4 different prenatal vitamins to choose from, after reading up on all of them and taking them I choose Nestabs DHA but medicaid hadn't sent my insurance card so I bought gummy prenatal vitamins from GNC. They make me sick so I stopped taking them and finally got my "choosen" prenatals, as it turns out they make me sick also. About 6 months ago I bought generic prenatal vitamins from Dollar General because I was going to take them to get help getting pregnant.
