Dha is really good! I specifically went to buy prenatal vitamins that included dha in them. Its omega 3 which is a fatty acid that is good for brain development and prevents neural tube defect.
The FDA says that it is safer to have DHA from a non fish source. I say the DHA is straight from the fish and not good to take! I would not take it or stop. I take the one Enfimil makes and it is I think $11 a month from Walmart and it is from a none fish source. I would tell your ob you wnat another one if you don't want that one!
Hello and thanks for this service! Is it more beneficial to take an "omega 3 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement" or an "omega 3, 6 &9 EPA & DHA fish oil supplement"? I'm a bit confused as to which would be of the optimum benefit to purchase. Thanks for your time and expertise!
If you dont have insurance, there are natural remedies that can help sooth your body such as St. Johns Wort, kava Kava, Velarian Root, Omega 3 with high DHA, and passion flower extract. I have been using Omega 3 because I cant take meds and it has helped a bit. Good luck.
Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?

My mom (60 years of age) recently had cataract removal surgery in both her eyes from a well known hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. The surgery was phacoemulsification process and hardly took 5 min .Both the procedures were done with a gap of 1 week. The left eye seems to have recovered okay, but its the right eye which is casuing some probels. Its been more than 6 weeks now. She has no sign of infection, redness/swelling/pain etc.
It can take up to 12 hours or more for her to show symptoms. So something that she has eaten the day before could also be the culprit. You should see a pediatric ophthalmologist to make sure that she does not have an eye movement disorder like nystagmus.
So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
So I Bought prenatal pills and they don't have dha. So when I had my 1st Dr appt at 5 weeks he said buy dha prenatal so I have been taking them. I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and a few days ago I ran out so I been taking the prenatal pills without dha until I get paid. But I'm wondering is it even a big deal which pills i take since I'm out of 1st trimester?
