Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?

My mom (60 years of age) recently had cataract removal surgery in both her eyes from a well known hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. The surgery was phacoemulsification process and hardly took 5 min .Both the procedures were done with a gap of 1 week. The left eye seems to have recovered okay, but its the right eye which is casuing some probels. Its been more than 6 weeks now. She has no sign of infection, redness/swelling/pain etc.
The most important thing is quitting! Good job! Now make sure you are taking a prenatal vitamin with DHA. Drink plenty of water, get exercise...you should be just fine!

Well, honestly, that is just plain silliness. So many women have careers and are great mothers as well. As a working mom I can tell you it's not always easy, but I wouldn't have my life any other way.
You should see a pediatric ophthalmologist to make sure that she does not have an eye movement disorder like nystagmus.
So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
The FDA says that it is safer to have DHA from a non fish source. I say the DHA is straight from the fish and not good to take! I would not take it or stop. I take the one Enfimil makes and it is I think $11 a month from Walmart and it is from a none fish source. I would tell your ob you wnat another one if you don't want that one!
So before I got pregnant, I had a very good job. Gave us the freedom for my husband to stay home with our 4 children. In early Dec I lost my job due to the company closing down :( So I get a phone call today that is offering me another job with better benefits and better pay... but im pregnant and ready to pop anyday. Ugh... why do such good opportunities have to come at such inconvenient times? I will be induced in 20 days.
So I Bought prenatal pills and they don't have dha. So when I had my 1st Dr appt at 5 weeks he said buy dha prenatal so I have been taking them. I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and a few days ago I ran out so I been taking the prenatal pills without dha until I get paid. But I'm wondering is it even a big deal which pills i take since I'm out of 1st trimester?
