dha in prenatal

I bought some prenatal vitamins and they came in a pack with DHA vitamins. Does anyone know what they are or if they are ok to take??

Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?

I take both, a prenatal vitamin and a dha supplement. I have been since I was 4 weeks (when I found out), and now I'm 27 1/2 weeks. I always take them with food though.

Prenatal vits don't have DHA in them. So you do need to take the extra vit. It's very beneficial for you & baby. I've taken the extra DHA vit during all of my pregnancies. I also take a calcium vit before bed, the extra calcium is good for U and baby. I don't think my dr said anything to me either but I told him when at my 1st apt he wanted to know everything I was taking, vits & if any other medications.

DHA is a kind of Omega 3 fatty acid (which is usually DHA+EPA) Omega 3 s are considered really beneficial for our brain and general health..and considered really good for fertility.. they're found in fatty fish or you can take them as supplements..

One of my prenatal vitamins have DHA but no iron, and the other has iron but no DHA...The one with iron has a little higher percentage of vitamin C as well...which one should I take? If I take the one with no DHA is it ok to takr Advocare Omega Plex supplement on the side? Or should I take the vitamin with DHA and take iron on the side? These have me confused!

What brand of prenatal vitamins is everyone using? Im using nature made with dha. Just wondering if there is one kind of prenatals that are better than another.

I am taking Nature Made prenatal multi + DHA I started the vitamins 2 months before getting pregnant and they never made me sick... Not even in my first trimester....

So I Bought prenatal pills and they don't have dha. So when I had my 1st Dr appt at 5 weeks he said buy dha prenatal so I have been taking them. I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and a few days ago I ran out so I been taking the prenatal pills without dha until I get paid. But I'm wondering is it even a big deal which pills i take since I'm out of 1st trimester?

Neevo DHA has the metholated folate in it that is good for women who have MTHFR gene mutations and it had the DHA in it too. It is by prescription only and is easy on your tummy.

Does ur prenatal vitamins have dha? Is it ok to take them tablets with dha? The one i take doesn't have it but im trying to get gummies to substitute but all gummies seem to have dha.

t started any prenatal vitamins but i have done my research and i was pretty sure that the list of fish oils in citranatal DHA were NOT good. Thank you again. I will look into the Enfimil. So i take it that one doesn't have any fish oils?

Hi. Im 6 weeks pregnant and taking the 1 a day prenatal. It comes with one prenatal and one gel dha pill. my advice nurse told me to stop taking the one with dha. Any suggestions why she Di does not want me taking it??

My prenatals are called prenateDHA with quatrefolic. It has everything you need and with insurance it's pretty reasonably priced.

i take "nature made" prenatal with dha which is otc. my doc never even prescribed me vitamins just gave me samples and i like the otc ones better. i wouldnt use flinstone vitamins they wont have enough folic acid in them. try to find vitamins with dha/omega 3 which is good for brain developement.

I would take a complete prenatal. In addition to folic acid, they have higher daily values of all the vitamins you need for a healthy pregnancy than regular multivitamins.

My RE prescribed prenatal vitamins, Vital-OB+DHA Im sorry but i was paying 32.00 for them the first 3 months, now i went and got my 4th months supply $70.00.. I want the best but c'mon thats expensive enough with my fertility medicines.. Does anyone know of a cheaper brand I could tell my RE to prescribe me that good also?

When pregnant, I took a prenatal, an Omega 3, and folic acid (extra from what was in the prenatal). Iron is also a good idea, if the prenatal doesn't have 100% of the daily recommended dose.

You can buy Prenatal+DHA, but regular prenatal does not have DHA in it. My doctor said DHA is very important for babies development.

Idk what is in the pills you are talking about but if it doesnt have dha/epa i would suggest going ahead and taking actual prenatal vitamins. Dha is to help with brain development.
