i started use Desogestrel in december at start when my period came was all fine period was gone after 4 days. january 4th started some lil bleeding and spotting and didnt stopped ever since. like 3 weeks ago i went to my doctor she said lets change to Slynd . but i am still spotting sometimes more sometimes less. my question is if i take a 1 week brake and resume taking pills will stop the spotting ?
we had sex about a week after i changed my pill to the desogestrel pill.
hi, i am taking ethinylestradiol/desogestrel richter 0.02 mg/0.15 mg, and i was supposed to start my 7 day pill free yesterday, but i forgot to, instead i started with my next strip of pill yesterday.. what should i suppose to do? should i stop taking the pill for the next 6 days and i will have my period in days or should i continue taking the pill for another 20 days?
Now since 2 weeks I also have mucus in my stool and I get very worried. I also take thyroid medication for Hashimoto and Desogestrel all the time for the Endometriosis. It would be great if anyone could help me. I went by the doctor already though they tell me to just eat healthy, which I do since 7 years now.
Would Mircette be an option with desogestrel being less angrogenic? Also, any experience with prescribed HALF tab of OC? (ie. instead of Loestrin 1/20.. use 0.5/10 for hormonal imbalance?) Just concerned about initial breakout.
Just some background... I have not used OC previously. I have no family history of breast cancer, no hypertension, non-smoker, and had 2 migraines in the past 5 years.
Hi, can anybody share experiences with ortho-k? I have mild myopia and astigmatism and at my last eye exam looks like presbyopia is also beginning to set it.
I was wondering if ortho-k has reached a point where it can do miltifocal correction and how successful it might be?
Reason I am specifically interested in ortho-k is because I had a somewhat rare experience where a chalazion on one of my eyelids has corrected the vision in my right eye to basically plano.
I just got home from my ortho appointment a short time ago and wanted to post an update about my hip.
The ortho doc (actually PA, but that's quite all right) was very, very nice and very, very concerned when she walked into the room. The first words out of her mouth were "you look absolutely MISERABLE!" and of course, I told her I was miserable.
I have been on Ortho Evra for a year now. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, although, aside from being irregular I haven't ever had any other symptoms with it. I went on Ortho Evra because I was really anemic, and the irregularity was annoying me, so the patches fixed both. I loved it up until the past month or two when I started noticing that I'm becoming crazy.

Hi , 10 yr old son has high myopia . I recently found about ortho k lenses even few doctor here suggested that but due to his high prescriptions I was told he is not a candidate. Recently I found one reputed optometrist showed my ray of hope saying we can do partial reduction that can help stabilize his prescription if everything goes well until his eyes done growing . Has anyone ever switched from Loestrin 24 to Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo? Anybody ever gotten pregnant while on the "lo estrogen" pills? I switched from Loestrin to Ortho because I started not having periods AT ALL on the Loestrin and I had CRAZY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS. I got a blood test but it was negative. Now I am on Ortho and am a little nervous because I've heard and read that some people have gotten pregnant on this pill. Any advice????

44 yoa healthy male less my chronic, lumbar pain, 24/7, constant throbbing/aching w/a steady 6/7 & up pain level. Years of back pain, gradual. 1st Discography is negative. A 2007&09 MRI reveal L4-5 & L5-S1 DDD/herniations. All Ortho's deny me as surgical candidate for discography does not support it and I have never had, nor to this day, ever any leg radiating pain. ONLY in center Lumbar. I have exhausted all Interventional procedures, i.e.
I was debating between Ortho Cyclen, Ortho Tri Cyclen or Othro Tri Cyclen Lo.. I am currently on Ortho Cyclen but I was thinking why am I pumping all this hormones into my body each month.
Me and my partner also use condoms as backup.
I am even willing to try other brands if 1 is better?
I guess I just dont under the difference between them all and the effect on your body good/bad.

My question is, can a hip labrum tear cause sharp pain when the muscles are firing for ejaculation? My ortho didn’t think so but after the clean sports hernia mri we are discussing possible labrum surgery.
Hi, I have been taking ortho-tricyclen lo for 4+ years and originally loved the pill because I had previously been on loestrin ( a lower dose pill that caused spotting). However, over the past few years I believe that ortho-tricylen has caused me to gain weight and feel extra anxious. My pill pack is ending this sunday and I was toying with the idea of stopping my birth control all together to see if the symptoms were indeed from ortho-tricylen.
