On those days (when he takes two puffs) he only goes to the bathroom 4-5 times the whole day, which is great because I can take him places and get him out of the house. Does anyone know or take Desmopressin more often than one time a day??? If so how many times?? Any information would be helpful!!
But drinking too much liquid with the medication can cause problems, and Desmopressin should be avoided if you have symptoms such as a fever, diarrhea or nausea. Be sure to carefully follow instructions for using this drug.
Desmopressin is given orally as a tablet and is only for patients over 5 years old.
Usually what happens is when starting meds for AD, you wind up, through trial and error, going through sometimes MAny meds and dosages before you get to the one that "Works for You"..I am starting on my 4th one tomorrow. Hoping it will be the "one".
I would certainly give your doc a call tomorrow as you should not have to continue tdeal w/ those symptoms. Is it a Cardio who rx'ed you this?
t know about this.. Check with child24angel - her son is also hemophilia with HCV and she might have those answers.
when i then urinate it is only a very small amount but my bladder feels empty and i can go to sleep.. this occurrs sometimes 10 times a night. I also get the feeling in the afternoon and evening but it is not bothersome that i need to urinate immediately. i only have the problem when im tryin to sleep. i can hold it in but is obviously uncomfotable.
ive had a few prostrate checks, ostoscopy and bladder biopsies over the years but they have not shown any problems.
I had unprotected sex with an ex boyfriend. I was tested after we broke up and I didn't have anything as of then. 2 months later is when I had unprotected sex with him, one time, and he did not ejaculate. I'm not even sure if he'd been with anyone since we broke up, but I wont trust him even if he says he hadn't. I was wondering if anyone else has had these symptoms or has any idea of what to do. Someone very close to me has been suffering w/ dizziness and extreme tiredness all the time. Not like the room is spinning, but sort of an out of reality feeling with blurred vision. He is a 35 year old male who has severe hemophilia.
He has been to the eye doctor(they wear glasses/contacts) but the Dr. said they were fine. Other blood tests have come back normal.

You had underwent a thorough assessment and seems like incontinence and interstitial cystitis were ruled out. When was the last time you had a cystoscopy done?
Were you able to get some blood tests done.Hormonal imbalance due to pituitary dysfunction and diabetes may lead to increased urinary frequency( after structural problems like stones have ben ruled out) .Also are you previously taking any medications?
i dont know im just kind of iffed out about it especially since i have hemophilia and am a very slow healer. Anything anyone would mind sharing about your epesiotomy/ripping experience?
ve had a bleeding disorder that no one could pin point they thought was Von wildibrands but they never were quite sure, they just know I have a low platelet count and I bleed and bruise easy, not hemophilia. Also on top of this My monocytes were high and my TSH was high in the high 4s but my T4 and T3 was normal. Everything else perfect. My hands gets cold and I have constant migraines. My doctor pretty much said I'm not sure what's wrong and she wants to monitor me. Any thoughts?

One example is albinism. Another would be hemophilia. Cystic fibrosis, sickle cell anemia, and Tay Sachs are other types of recessive characteristics. A talk with a genetic counselor could shed some light on the more likely possibilites. Many problems can be tested for prenatally with amniocentesis and genetic testing. Many others can't.

Unfortunately I pee/ and get thirsty without the med. Right now I am taking the smallest pill, and break it in half. I take it before I go to bed. I seem to be able to do ok without taking it during the day (because I can drink/pee as much as i need to. If I do not take the DDAVP at night I wake up 4-6 times needing to drink water and pee.
What test said that you do not need DDAVP? The water deprivation test is the gold standard.

For my whole life, I have had problems with bedwetting; I wake up in the night and my bed is soaked with pee and it is not a matter of me being lazy. ( I do not have incontinence during the day). There are times when this problem has gotten better, but it has never completely gone away and has always been an issue that I worry about and am deeply embarrassed about and ashamed of. It has been especially bad recently (I wet the bed 3 times this week), and is making me feel depressed and hopeless.
The bleeding can also be due to liver disorders, certain medications like blood thinners and non steroidal anti inflammatory agents. This can be detected by blood counts and bleeding and clotting time. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Three times have had mid abdominal pain, very severe lasting 3-4 days. No relief after BM. but several throughout the day and evening. Which is a change for me.
. Since Dec have lost about 12 lbs.Appetite is lessening. No desire to look at or buy food in grocery store. Last couple of months have small night sweats.
I am a very healthy 67 yr old on no meds.
