Ddavp and bleeding

Common Questions and Answers about Ddavp and bleeding

ddavp

Avatar f tn I have used a nasal spray (DDAVP) for three weeks, but the bleeding did not stop. I tried doubling up on the nasal spray since I was prescribed the wrong strength, but it did not help. I had my second Depo Provera shot on December 7. I thought it would help make the bleeding stop, but I am still bleeding. I have also tried a estrogen pill I was prescribed, but it has not helped. I know I will have light bleeding on the Depo Provera, but is it normal to be bleeding for 37 days?
Avatar f tn When I first started using DDAVP ~9 years ago i had to weigh myself every day and measure my input and urine output to get the "hang" of it. The rule was if I gained more than two pounds in day I was to cut back on my fluid intake and dose. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Mine is partial so it ebbs and flows a bit and I do have to adjust my DDAVP dose sometimes. Without DDAVP my fluid consumption is 4 or more gallons a day. At first, I kept a fluid intake and output diary. Also I weighed myself every morning to see if I was taking to much medication and/or not consuming the right amount of fluids. And yes, for me the best approach has ended up to take DDAVP just at night so that I can sleep without having to get up every 1/2 hour to drink and pee.
Avatar m tn Hi, Do not feel embarrassed, such problems are quite common and doctors are there to help you. So, do consult a urologist and get appropriate treatment. Here is a link that gives a lot of details about this problem: http://www.nafc.
Avatar f tn Birth control pills do not work to stop the bleeding at this time I am taking two seasonale pills daily and estrogen to try to control bleeding, but I have been bleeding for a month now. Hematologist has done tests to rule out vonwildebrands disease and other bleeding disorders, all sonograms show no gynecological problems., Have had multiple tests to check hormone function-all have showed no problems, currently cannot do any tests.
Avatar n tn My daughter is 13 years old and has always & still struggles with bed wetting. She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 1.5 years ago. Her endocrinologist does not believe the wetting has to do with her diabetes. If her blood sugars are high before she goes to bed we can almost be 100% sure she will have a wet bed, but most times her sugars are in range and she might still wet. She has also gone through many test on her bladder and all is normal.

Avatar m tn I ADORE collies, they are my breed of choice and I just got a puppy a month or so ago after I lost my sable and white female, Katie, last May. I'd love to see pics!
Avatar f tn m 17yrs old I had a tumor that was attached to the pituitary gland when I was 12 it was removed partially the rest was removed with chemo and radiation due to being attached to my eyes. when I was 15 it came back I had chemo and radiation and it was gone now I had an MRI done and apperantly my doc sees what can be scar tissue or the tumor again. Can some one explain what scar tissue is and if it's in any way bad for me or it's long term side effects please and thank you!!!
Avatar m tn Desmopressin is given orally as a tablet and is only for patients over 5 years old. According to the Food and Drug Administration, nasal spray formulations of Desmopressin (Noctiva, others) are no longer recommended for treatment of bed-wetting due to the risk of serious side effects. Again, however, I can't stress enough that your friend should be checked by the GP, as an adult , this can signal other issues that need fairly prompt attention.
Avatar f tn I go through bouts of what seems like diabetes insipidus, but i am having to pee every 20-30 minutes, and my bladder is pretty full---and I'm not drinking fluids. it will last a couple of hours, and then quit. i haven't figured out what is going on---but i do have hypopituitarism.
Avatar f tn she will have 4 packets of oatmeal and a glass of milk in the am. Another possible symptom is nocturnal enuresis. She is on DDAVP at night .05 mg X approx. 4 months. If I remember to wake her up around 2am she may be dry, before the DDAVP she was going through 2 goodnights diapers a night... if I didn't change it midway she and the bed would be completely soaked. Anyway, her Thyroid was hyperactive, and she is allergic to Milk and Eggs (she did have hives when we were at the Dr).
Avatar m tn ive never went this much during the night..i had to go get on some meds called ddavp to slow it down so i can sleep..
Avatar n tn My question is if this is necessary to put her right away on such an expensive tablet, if there is any other way to treat incontinence, how can he diagnose a missing hormone(sorry for my poor language) with a simple blood or urine test and can DDAVP be taken along with other drugs, in particular Clavamox.
Avatar f tn I hate the meds and feel best without them. however, lately I have to urinate constantly and have headaches a lot like I did b4 surgery. I do remember my endo telling me something about frequent urination and giving me shots in the hospital because of frequent trips to the potty. I don't remember why or what caused the urination and am tired of getting up every hour at night to pee. should I be concerned?
1608004 tn?1390770990 vasopressin is produced in the pituitary gland and this regulates the amount of urine the kidneys produce. DDAVP is the synthetic drug meant to regulate this production. http://www.medhelp.
16141151 tn?1445607578 I am still on 15mg cortef and 1-2 sprays of DDAVP per day. My body has changed- I am gaining weight and it is mostly on the back and at my waist above my ribs. My skin is different (dryer, less elastic), and overall I don't feel quite right. I am still feeling a bit frustrated and surprised by the fact that I have all these deficiencies, despite the fact that my surgeon was very confident prior to the surgery that I would be cured.
1546654 tn?1294411026 1st MRI after in Nov showed a little shrinkage, and my vision bluriness went away....but recently my vision has gotten blurry again and my headaches/nausea is slowly returning....Anyone else have something like this??? I just started chemo again. Doxil once every 3 weeks... I am 34yrs old, single mom from LI, NY....
186737 tn?1269884660 Supine BP is between 120/70 - 135/80. Standing BP may drop to 70/40. ~2 months ago she started DDAVP and Octreotide and those have helped her substantially, however, she still has a very low exercise tolerance, shortness of breath wiht only little exertion, and some syncope. Could she still have carcinoid tumors in spite of the negative octreotide scan and is there a better scanning technique than an octreotide scan for detecting carcinoid tumors?
Avatar f tn They are always watching her and know the pee pee dance and send her. However, she has been pooping her pants ever since that one day in her last daycare. I would say she has had 5 poops in her pants in the last two months. She recently started attending a preschool at well. She also soils herself there. She only has accidents when she is at home or with me maybe once a week. She is also wets her bed at night, she never wakes herself up at nigh to go pee.
Avatar n tn s, uroligists and a counselor and all of them are as puzzled as we are becuase they have no idea why she is continuing to pee. She does pee her pants at night but her pediatrition put her on DDAVP and that seems to be helping the night time weting but as for the day time weting we are at a loss. my husband and I have tryed everything to get her to stop peeing her pants from encouragement to punishment.
Avatar n tn Thyroid, cortisol, DDAVP, and Growth Hormone. Also, for a while, I also used transdermal estrogen/progesterone. I am 46 and opted to just go through menopause since I did not want kids. Pros for me:since the surgery:I've been able to lose 50#, I control my hormones now rather than the cyst.
596605 tn?1369946627 rGH, Cortisol, Thyroid, DDAVP, and HRT. RE the head pain, I think that I may have Trigeminal Nerve damage that is causing this pain, as it started happening after my surgery. What type of doctor do I see? I live in a rural area in Hawaii and there are no neurologists or pain specialists here. I will travel anywhere to get a proper assessment and treatment plan. How do I research and find the right type of doctor given my history?
Avatar f tn Is it possible that the first bleeding was ovulation bleeding and the second implantation bleeding and how likely is it that woman have both? If not what else could it be?
Avatar f tn I just found out I was pregnant and about 5 days after my missed period I started bleeding heavy. I went to the hospital and my hcg level was at 27 and they said it's most likely a miscarriage but it can not be confirmed yet. I don't see the doctor for another 2 days for the results of my next blood hcg level and I want to know if there is a bit of hope that I am still pregnant.
