Ive always suffered from dandruff and so i used T-gel and capisal anti-dandfuff shampoos, but when i got pregnant my doc told me not to use them because of coal tar and so i stopped, it also says on the back of the bottle not reccomended during pregnancy, its been 9 weeks and my head is soo itchy its driving me mad :( .. Anyone know any good natural ways to get rid of it?
I first started getting dandruff a while back; now I have spots that are very visible, especially when I get out of the shower. They don't really itch or hurt but they do have a redness to them, but its just really dry patches; I've tried treating them with over-the-counter dandruff shampoo but to no avail. I also have a dry-skin problem on my face and my doctor gave me Ketoconazole cream which helped, but the same cream does not remedy my scalp problems.
The last few weeks my scalp his been itching something awful, it is centered around the crown. I don't have dandruff and dandruff shampoo makes it worse. I have taken to washing my hair once a week because it itches so badly. The itching is making my head hurt. Please help.
that's the shampoo i use, i have had hair loss a long time before getting this shampoo. I always had thick hair though and didn't really think anything of it until i started having a severe itching. Now i use that shampoo to keep the itching at bay. I was actually on here looking for a home remedy and just to learn more about scalp related funal infections. I wish i could find something that worked on the hair loss and itching better.
Our five year old son still has a patch of what is commonly known as cradle cap on infants. For years we have used an over the counter cradle cap remedy, baby oil, and/or moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. We have picked it off and gotten rid of it and then it comes right back. It is not noticeable under his hair and it doesn't bother him. He does not scratch at it or notice it at all. Having large flakes in his hair is really just a nuisance.
I did have a slight problem with dandruff. Some nights I would massage coconut oil into my scalp then wash it out the next day. This worked very well as the dandruff was far less noticeable the day after the oil application.
Still, I couldn't do anything about fixing my hair texture. I read that the sudden change could be related to a hormonal imbalance or be the result of a serious illness.

Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the symptoms are gone or not.
In case the symptoms persist then get it evaluated from a doctor.
When I was in 4th grade I started noticing dandruff in my bangs. I could see the dry skin there and growing up it was only in my bangs but over the years I noticed it going more over the top of my scalp. Sometimes it'd be worse and my hair would itch bad and I'd have dandruff and I thought it was maybe just in winter when it's more dry but about 2years ago when I was living in MS on the gulf (not dry area at all) it was horrible (winter and summer)!
I have been seeing white things in their hair but they easily brush off. It seems like dandruff. This is all located around the ear area. Do I need to worry? I also constantly worry that I have lice..my head is itchy but I also only see what appears to be dandruff.

Lately i have noticed i have dandruff, i heard of shampoo that gets rid of it, does anyone know any kind of shampoo or other thing that does, i have tried showering even More often then i do, which is alot, and it still doesnt go away, i want to get rid of it soon, only got it about a week ago. He suffers from constant dandruff regardless of what shampoos are used. We have been to many dermatologist for prescription shampoos with no luck.

I think this resulted in me developing serious dandruff. its been a problem for a while now. I think there is some hairloss and scalp is very dry and itchy. Everytime I run my fingers through my hand i can see flakes falling down. I plan on shaving my head and start applying some cream. Can you recommend any medicine or any remedies. I would really appreciate some help.
